Yes. Most men in Sri Lanka don’t even UNDERSTAND the difference between LOVE and LUST. When they have a so called “ loving relationship” with a girl they want to “own” that girl taking her freedom away restricting her to be free to achieve her goals and to continue to have contacts with her friends, relatives and even her family members. Sri Lankan boys are jealous if their girl friends or wives talk or even look a other men due to their inferiority complex as they want them to depend on them as well as wait on them for physical needs to make the man happy ignoring the needs of the partner. These age old habits may have been influenced by Islamic and Hindu religious beliefs. Islamic beliefs still prevail in countries like Afghanistan but Hindus are slowly moving away with Western influence. I wonder when they will ever change like boys of Western countries to let women rise to their highest potential but it is slowly getting there now in most Eastern Asian and African countries except in the Middle East.
