Also, Bakugou's hero name is Dynamight. Dyna-MIGHT like All-Might and I think that's awesome.
I just remember that in the original episode were all class 1-a chose their names, it was Izuku the one who had a list of names inspired by all might like a good fanboy, and then the one who actualy uses a fanboy name its bakugo
And when the world needed him most... he returned!

LMFAOO THE TEARS FOR MIRIO, im right there with you chief. This shit couldn't get any better. That shot of Mirio passing through the ground having that inner monologue is incredible, what a perfect reintroduction for one of the best characters in the show.
The fact that Mirio was the only one who openly loved Bakugo's hero name...ah ive missed this kid.

I was so shocked by Lemillion that it took me the entire episode to process that he was back lmao.
Shoto trying to talk some sense into Dabi by pointing out how insane his actions are and him being like, "What's your point", will always be so unintentionally funny to me. Touya does not care about any power of friendship speeches.
Mirio is back. A lot of anime-only people seem to think Eri is just going to rewind everyone. But it's important to remember what Monoma said about her last season. Her quirk is like Deku's. It's a stockpile quirk. Which means it builds up power over time. We saw Eri a few episodes ago and her horn was small(to imply that she'd used her power recently). Because it was massive during the S5 finale. Her horn stores up power over months and she then uses that energy for her power. But it takes a long time to recharge. Eraserhead had the amount of time he could use his quirk reduced after the Nomu beatdown in S1. And I imagine it only got worse after Shigaraki nearly clawed his face off. And Eraser is the only one that can stop her power from going out of control and potentially rewinding someone out of existence. So using Eri to try to heal people would likely harm them more than it would help, if she even has any more energy.
And now, Mr. Compress seems to be gearing up for the show of a lifetime.
Glad to know I wasn't the only one sheading tears of joy seeing Mirio. I had to pause the episode and take a lap when I saw his cape.
First time hearing the dub and I'm so happy to have this voice back.
This season has been very consistent story wise, absolutely love it. And I like the next arc even better so I’m actually happy to exist rn.

This season so far is the best overall one but to me hasn't hit the highs of previous seasons such as Shigaraki's backstory or Endeavor vs High End hopefully they can reach those highs for me in the coming arc.
I love Mirio, I feel like he really embodies the spirit of the symbol of peace, saving everyone with a smile.
I think someone else already explained the spelling of DynaMight being an homage to All Might while also being the word Dynamite, referencing his quirk & to an extent his ego.
Another layer to it is that Nitroglycerin is a volatile & unstable chemical (which is similar to the substance Bakugo sweats). Once it's focused & stabilized, it can become Dynamite (DynaMight).
Not to mention, Bakugo's quirk upgrade in this episode becoming more focused & distinct explosions helps represent his progression, which I think is really cool.
The level of respect / appreciation I have for you seeing you cry over mirio.
I remember when I read this episode in the manga I almost started crying and then spent the whole week re-reading it over and over again.
From all the reactors I've seen, you are the only one that recongnized that Deku said to Dabi the same thing he said to Shoto in season 2, which makes total sense if you accept that Shoto isnt Endeavour, then Dabi isnt either. This show writing is really good and consistent within itself.
Bakugo always calling Midoriya a nerd, yet names himself dynaMIGHT.

This story really lives up to its own motto to Go Beyond because Whew! Every character beat has been meticulous! One of the things I love about Dabi's story is how calm and stable he seemed surrounded by the league at first. I remember during the summer training camp arc either Toga or Muscular was being their normal whacky selves and he was like "Shut your crazy ass up." He was always in the shadows calm and plotting but as soon as this season started he became more and more elated to the point where we are now. He's hysterically happily homicidally, miserable. Jason is killing it. This is the first ep where I was cheering and smiling in parts for a WHILE with all the students taking point in the battle then Endeavor getting his final wind.
I cried when Mirio returned too. I always cry in these situations that the hero that has lost everything returns to continue chasing their dreams. It is one of the most inspiring ideas for me and it always gets me.
Best Jeanist is back, and Lemillion is back... Alex is gonna have a field day
I must say, your Best Jeanist edit at the end drew a nice chuckle from me. Good job. This was a nice reprieve of an episode, since everything has been going wrong in the last few.
This episode had everything. Mirio’s return shifted the whole atmosphere. I’ve missed his bright, hopeful personality so much.
Bakugo’s hero name is SO PERFECT. The characters’ reaction to it was hilarious. The fact that it’s spelled like “Dynamight” as a nod to All Might is really cool.
Dabi vs Shoto was painful. Shoto seems to be doing everything he can to “wake up” his brother to how insane his chosen path is. He’s obviously in so much emotional distress while trying to save someone who doesn’t want to be saved. It was just hard to watch. I feel really bad for him. Dabi seems so lost and almost too far gone. It hurts.
Best Jeanist is a legend. I’ve missed the clothing puns SO MUCH. Lol.
It was just an amazing episode. I loved it!!

11:12 it wasn’t surprising that Compress’s monologue blamed Shigaraki. Villains tend to be more “selfish” than heroes. I put selfish in quotes because at the end of the day, each one of the LOV members has valid reason to hate society. Toga was forced to suppress her quirk, inevitably leading to go going crazy. Dabi was abused by someone the country looked to as a hero, seeing your abuser being praised and loved by strangers because they don’t know better broke him. Shiggy just ended up in the wrong hands due to lack of compassion at the hands of society, falling victim to the bystander effect.
The saying goes “a hero will die protecting the world, a villain will die protecting who they love”. Villains are made to be self-centered, that’s what makes them more relatable.
I was dying watching this episode and every other one this season, thx for the reaction dude 😭ALSO MIRIO IS BACK! (It was your birthday, this sure is a gift, happy birthday dude!) also Bakugo having not changed his hero name after all the anticipation is kinda hilarious.💀💀

In the villain arc, the fear of death caused Toga's quirk to evolve. The same thing has happened now to Bakugo, but not the fear of his death, but the fear of Midoriya's death.

I’ll be honest: the mirio thing landed kind of flat for me in the manga, but here with the score and the VA (and finally some budget), it hit me haaaaarrd. Goosebumps and tears. Rewatched it several times already.

In all the awesomeness this episode has, the one scene I can't stop thinking about is Deku yelling at himself to stand up and fight.
It just feels so sad that he doesn't care what happens to him, if there is someone in need he is going to help no matter how many limbs he breaks or how much pain he's in .
It's one of Deku's best qualities, but it is also the reason he ends up hurt so much.
His determination to help others is as admirable as always, but you can also sense that this behavior isn't a healthy one for him in the long run.
I just hope he learns that his well being matters too,before it's too late for him.

The dub translation of the Deku narration misses that the narration is in past tense because this is still the story of how he became the greatest hero and I'm disappointed in that

One retcon I noticed about this series is that back in the Stain incident, Endeavor used blue flames against one of the nomus. He then said, "Carbonized cells can't regenerate."
So why didn't Endeavor use blue flames against the hood nomu and against Shigaraki? The series could have already been over 😂.
I heard that was an anime only thing that the crew had to get permission/thoughts from horikoshi to do and he was fine with it.
I have a personal theory: He had to ramp up to the blue flames, so it is not the easiest thing, and we have only seen him do it when he was relatively fresh and cool. It also probably heats him up a lot more than his normal flames. While he wanted a swift end to this fight, and the hood nomu, he also has been on the back foot more in these fights. With Shigaraki especially he saw his flames remove the flesh, so the temperature is not the issue. What he needs is the ability to continually fight, and if he uses the blue flames it would be one bigger blast, but then he would be out of the fight for a while to cool down.
With the hood nomu, he started trying to take it alive, and by the time he was ready to kill it he was already over heating. It is possible that he did not have enough heat capacity to pull that off at that point. (That is a really weak argument, I know.)
It still does not make much sense, but that is enough for me to suspend my disbelief about it.
Anime-only thing for that, but Endeavor also has less energy because he's been fighting since the hospital raid without that much rest to overheat and he's injured. So less energy for that type of attack too.

Hmm. I checked the manga and it really is anime only. I still can't help but think he should have used blue flames on Shigaraki though. It is what it is.

This is an episode I’m very conflicted about. One I’ve given a LOT of thought. I always look for the best beats and what I love about any given moment. Regardless of complaints. But I have to level my own here.
Lemillion. We all love him, he is an OFA candidate with “unrivaled” skill and according to Aizawa, he is the closest person to achieving the #1 hero spot. You can only hit him if you hit the EXACT surface he makes tangible at the EXACT moment he makes it tangible. And you can never tell what he has made solid and what he hasn’t. His motto is Nighteye’s dying words, and he is every bit of the joy we’ve known him to be. He was ONLY stopped because he HAD to make himself tangible to protect Eri and COULD STILL throw hands with Overhaul WITHOUT A quirk who can stand against near 20% Deku. (And that’s 80% of Deku in Season 1 from my theory.) Him appearing brings a genuine tear to my eye. But….to be perfectly honest. And I’m not talking just anime here. I think his return in this moment of the story, does nothing. Had he returned to help the kids against Machia, or appeared to be the trump card against Redestro or Geten. I think he would have made a much better impact. I’m not going mince words. This is where he is LEAST helpful. He is a distraction for Nomu. And those are the REGULAR Nomu. He can’t accomplish anything against Dabi, AFS, Machia at this point, and anything else. It’s…essentially pure comedy for an outstanding character. And for such an inevitable situation, I felt like this was not the way to go about it. I hate saying this so much. Because I DO love Mirio. And I want him to be the finest hero. I just wish we could show it more.
That being said. We now have Best Jeanist and Bakugo. The full title of his hero name is the equivalent of King Explosion Murder. (Which I do love is him sounding REALLY crazy in English but it’s a pun on his name in Japanese) But the name Dynamite. As his hero name is a just freaking FLAWLESS. With an all new quirk awakening that surpasses Iida speed. (Not sure which gear Iida is using at this point because he very well may need more than 10 minutes. And ALL his gears have improved since he got reciproturbo. But it’s a HUGE speed boost regardless) And basically the full recognition Best Jeanist is Bakugo’s master. Now to Bakugo’s delight and Best Jeanist being happy about it but still thinking “He needs more work.” All the while Best Jeanist with mildly displaced organs attempts to hold MACHIA. There is SO much good stuff there I love it.
Dabi vs Shoto. So something I’ve been talking to people about ever since Touya Todoroki was revealed is Azula vs Zuko. This is the final Agni Kai. Except more insane. We haven’t seen the conclusion yet but this is STRAIGHT out of Avatar but more tragic as Ozai equivalent tries to be a better person. I do love that Endeavor’s final move before losing consciousness is basically knocking out Machia because he just CAN’T so much as consider hurting Touya EVEN in this situation. And I think we’re starting to be given a MUCH greater depth of the Todoroki’s we haven’t seen yet. The fight was awesome. (Maybe a bit better animation for Dabi but I still loved it.)
We also got Deku and his situation. That little lightning bolt is pinging on his head again. Curious. And yeah we are getting to the more disturbing selflessness of an empath. I think of all the damage done, I think him RESISTING AFO is the biggest move yet. More in the divide it recreates between AFO and Shigaraki for the time being. But I also have to remark how awesome it is he can so readily communicate with people SO HARD to communicate with. He speaks their language because he’s seen what they are through and what so HEAVILY impacted Endeavor and Shoto. And while the words CAN be heard by Dabi, it needs to come from someone within his family for him to see the path as much as Deku made it clear to them.
Overall an inevitable wind down if you ask me. Not an unwelcome one. I think it’s a good one, just not an I CAN’T INHALE because of the insane momentum. Still give it 2 thumbs up even with my issues.

@@chronics23 high ends. More or less the same as Mirko fought but with no independent thought. And you can’t tell me Mirio with normal Olympic athlete capabilities puts down creatures that heal compared to Endeavor who needs fire at 5,000° to beat a Nomu JUST above the level of these.
Yeah that's true, Mirio came in clutch but there was perhaps nothing specific to his abilities that made him the perfect fit. Just that we needed a hand. But yeah, still very emotional for me to see him back and to hear his catch phrases and see the smile, so no complaints there.
this is one of my all time fav episodes in the show lmao... there are paragraphs worth of issues that fans of the show have with this?? wild...

With her broken ass ability I don't see how they don't 😅, the only thing I'm pretty sure it won't work on is dead people, but everything else is fair game 🤷.
Eri used up her power on Mirio (she has a small horn shown as she is sitting with All Might watching news). She rewound his body back for 6 months time. And she has to store energy for her power so she can't use it again immediately and has to wait for awhile. Also her quirk only works on living things so can't bring back from death.
