Mary, love your book reviews and look forward to them each week; however, I feel like I got sucker- punched by Craftsy. Is there no free content? Everything I looked at had a purchase option. That should have been explained in your pitch for them. $1.49 is no deal if you have to purchase every lesson.

Lovely vid Mary! I have adopted the Island Colonial style here on the Golden Isles of GA Low Country and really enjoyed the India Hicks book review. I love shells and Daniel's purchase and your instruction on making this beautiful seashell tray is inspiring. I am so glad you came up with the bright idea of creating one of your own, and sharing how you did it with us. I am looking forward to making this shell tray. Just listen to that great island music during your tutorial which reminds me of our Honeymoon and times we enjoyed in the Bahamas!! Thanks so much!! On another note, we received so far 16" of rainfall from deluging Debby. More to come this weekend. Trust y'all are doing well through her unwelcomed visit. XOXO Bren

@@thetartantopiary We are back at the rain AGAIN ! I'm glad the toads and froggies are loving the rain. Our little geckos are trying to stay high and dry. By weeks end we will probably have 20" along with the high humidity. wow! I went ahead and signed up for Craftsy and have watched two classes. Many thanks for sharing and inviting us to Craftsy. I am really going to enjoy it this year. You ought to teach some quick classes like you did with the shell dish. BTW can we put food on the shells or soaps that may become wet? i plan on making some single shell dishes for candies at the dinner service. I hope you are staying safe also and having fun on your travel adventure! Hugs, Bren

@@angelamonson i’m so glad. It sounds like you are quite adventurous. I appreciate that. I too, enjoy most everything about Ernest Hemingway. A couple years ago, we visited his home in Key West. I did enjoy the cats, but when I saw his studio where he had written most of his books, it was a magical moment that I’ll always remember. Cire Trudon makes an Ernest Hemingway candle, which from all accounts, is supposed to smell like Ernest Hemingway. It’s one of my favorite scents.
