"French country style" is a notion only outside France, invented for marketing purposes.
So you're saying that people in France who own villas have no sense of style?
@@vintagelady1 they don't conscienciously buy "French country style" stuff. The items presented in the video which seem to be popular in the Anglo-saxon world feel more "18th century scandinavian", or "Gustavian" to me. There is a lot of "brown furniture", especially walnut, in French country styles, which were often locally made interpretations of the "official" Parisian styles (Louis XV, Empire, Restoration, Louis-Philippe, etc...)
