The Narrator is right about the quality and attention CMEP puts into each engine that is assembled, what she didn’t mention is the Cummins 6.7L engine becomes even more reliable when you do a full emissions delete 😉
So glad I bought the last of the no emissions trucks.... 2004. Only had egr in the cam profile... But last year at 165,000 miles it dropped a valve seat. $15k later... new cam without the egr profile and a totally rebuilt engine.
I’m an employee at this plant currently and my understanding is cost. But I could be wrong. We no longer clear coat anything anymore our paint booth is being removed from the line.
Cummins should be ashamed they built so many RAM 2019-2020 6.7L with the CP4.2 glitter bomb fuel pump. When are these trucks going to be recalled for a CP3 (CP-ISB21S3) install?
That is not a Cummins issue. That is a Bosh issue. The recall is not a Cummins issue, but a Dodge issue. Think you can sort out where to point the blame gun now?
@@ShainAndrews I thought Cummins made their own fuel equipment. Ashamedly I have to once again admit that whenever I think of something, I'm wrong. Note to self: stop thinking.
Dear Cummins officails you really need to address the soot issues in the engine lubrication system and the exhaust gas recirculating system that infects the intake system and engine combustion system. This problem severely destroys the ability of the million mile marker to 300,000 miles or less. Intakes caked up to 1/2 inch to 1 inch of soot cmon your better than this! These 6.7 liter engines are the best ever designed yet there one flaw will be there demise SOOT!
That is just the problem of these low emmision engines. U have to sacrifice engine life and power to reduce as much emission as possible & use as little fuel as possible. Egr system is troublesome for every engine! No maker has ever made a good engine with these egr & nox reduction system.
@@7Amps EPA doesn’t tell cummins where to collect exhaust gases from the exhaust system cummins decides that there is no excuse for collection to be before the dpf filter period.
Well I'll probably get some people mad by saying this but "Delete it" ok I said it. Yup its time for people to understand that the stuff that comes out the exhaust pipe with DEF is way worse then without it. And no electric will not replace fossil fuels! Why? Because are power grid will never support it! Sorry if your a environmental freak reading this its time to smell the roses. But hey if you don't want to drive a vehicle, well they make bikes! Oh yea fun fact. Last year, 2020, the year of covid!, people stayed home more then ever and the emissions was less then before the whole emissions craze started. And guess what temperatures where higher across the board and scientists blamed it on less emissions in the atmosphere. So if your a climate change idiot that is so "concerned" about polar bears then how about we remove emissions regulations.

Thank you for my 94 12 valve best Cummins ever made !
I still have my 1990 D350 that I ordered NEW in 10/1989. It's my little dump truck it has a Galion dumper under the bed.

Cummins engine 💪💪💞💞💞💞🌹
The first Dodge pick up repowered with a B series engine was blue in color. I was there.
For Dodge / Freightliner / International and for school bus
Why aren't these pickup truck engines painted red?

You are correct Mark. I was expecting an assessment after the video.

Tell that to the EPA
