I'm replacing the ignition coils this weekend. Mine have less than 14 hours, while the GX 690's have high hours and run hard. Buying the IGX 800's were a mistake so far.
I replaced the spark plug boots on 4 machines from soft plastic to hard plastic boots. This solved the problem!. The boot was wearing out and causing the engine to short.
I replaced both ignition coils, spark plugs, boots, fuel filter, and fuel line, and installed a larger battery. After about 30 minutes of use, with a total of 19 hours on this machine, it blew the pump seals. I was told that I’m using pressure wash tips that are too small. I should be using two Sevens on my 10-gallon-per-minute machine, for a total of 14. I'll never get the sand out of the joints of the pavers with those. I currently use 2-5.5, which is the same size I use on the other three machines.
Wasn't enough testing when they went to the fuel injection in the electronic with ECU the Honda GX690 gets the authority in the pressure washing services industry for sure 😉
Hey Bro i just ran across your video after watching a similar video with Cliff from Pink Flamingo Powerwash in Florida check it out the shop Ameritech seemed to fix a very similar problem. The shop owner was very knowledgeable about IGX800. Just trying to help a fellow washer.
We’ve got 2 ea IGX800 with direct drive AR’s. We got them used recently with less than 40 hrs combined for a steal. But ours seem to have a fixed throttle? The throttle can’t be adjusted on either. I looked it up and it said some setups have fixed throttle. I dunno, I’ve never seen one. Wondered if anyone had any input?
Hey Broth throttle motor need to oil the two gears in the throttle wheel and the ECU will pick up the right voltage and regulations keep up the good work brother

we have maybe 12 x gx690 with few issues, and maybe 4 x igx800 that give us weekly issues. we will be going back to GX690.
The Gx690 is a great machine!

Clean or change the ignition coils Spark plug
I replace coils on one machine and spark plug boots on others to hard plastic and it worked so far
