I asked for a tutorial on this last week. I'm sure you have dozens of requests for the same thing too but thanks for taking it in to consideration, very helpful.
A good idea for a tutorial would be multiband sidechaining. As far as I'm aware, it's not possible. I was mixing an artist's vocals to an instrumental Saturday and I was trying to sidechain the vocals to the mid and high frequencies of the instrumental, while keeping the low end in tact, but I couldn't find a way to do it. What I eventually did was create a low shelf on the instrumentals mid and high frequencies, then side chain that to the vocals. If anyone knows an easier way, please share!
if ur in FL, you can use fruity peak controller to control the gain of one of the bands on parametric eq 2 and it is effectively a multiband sidechain.
good vid bro. just like to point out if you had the parametric eq 2 under supercharge, we wouldve seen what was happening in the eq (another reason why the order of your fxs are important)
Awww....just Loved It😍...this is what people want to learn....totally into the details..thanks a lot...last part of getting kick over bass with a sidechain just awesome..!!
lol man, love the accent in your voice, reminds me of some of my friends in Memphis...not a dis at all I love my people...you did a nice job of explaining how it's done THANKS MAN!!! I'm gonna view some of your other vids on your site, peace ,
These Mrdifferent videos are great... short to the point. Although Game does a great job.. he really goes in depth, but Mrdifferent does the short specific videos which I find convenient.
Great Video!!!! Guest appearances means Busy Works Beats is putting on a clinic for the Game thanks Busy Works Beats very cool content and tips for us producers your videos have helped me so much...
A simpler way is to use the fruity peak controller on the kick and link the volume of the 808 to the controller peak and BOOM!! Hides the initial attack of the 808 so the kick punches through. Make subtle adjustments and boom
Greetings busy works .I've been trying to get a great sounding sub . I've got a technique from a bredrin to use sylenth1 and simpler or sampler as I'm an ableton user but it just don't sound the same. have you any experience in ableton trap making? cheers
Thank you for this instructive video, especially about sidechaining. Maybe one question: when i use your sidechaining technique the way you show it, my kick gets affected by the effects i put on the bass mixer track, is there any way to avoid this? Or maybe i did something wrong? thanx
+Cory Robertson Thank you, I had a routing problem (as you guessed) , on the track i tried the sidechain, my 808 and kick were already routed to a mixer bus...
My two favorite mentors collaborating, that's fire
Been following for months now, every thing you show us on your tutorials definitely works
Never thought about using Supercharger on 808s. Dope!
Just continue to do this, your collaborations are great.

+Prod. Khalid im pretty sure theres an isotope plugin that can do it. I've seen Game use it before.
Fabfilter Pro MB. I use this for sidechain. Look some tuts in youtube. Works very well.
+Qualquer Nome Besta thanks
Melda Productions MautoDynamicEq look it up works wonders and does what you described.

Proper, thanks Game for giving us a new teacher.
Wtf? Nobody noticed? He showed harmonics by eq BEFORE saturator(pure signal) xD
P.S. Sry for my bad English, I'm foreign language speaker)

this is really helpful thank u 💯
DOPE tutorial. Definitely helped me boos my 808's but don't forget to tune your 808 using Edison.
It is crazy what the Effector plugin did for my weak 808! I'm so hype right now.
THE 808 IS NOT IN THE RIGHT KEY
lolol
no 808 is ever is the right key, google it
Best thing to do is have 808 to follow the root note of the songs lead.
I just learnt something new side chaining man man that's love this tutorial you should do more
Yo fire intro you got there, what is that track fam? Dope tutorial!
That's because he used tension in the 808.
Perfect- You are the MAN!
The eq was before the saturation in the FX chain so there couldn't have been a visual change on the visualizer.
what up Mr. Different, good to know more ppl on YT that use fruity... team FL!
this guy is amazing, learned so much
What kick samples do you use?"do you make them or is it a sample pack? Cant get my kicks to fit that good.

Good vid bruh just subbed
Good Job. Thx so much!

I like your side chain technique
Yo, what 808 packs do you recommend?
where do i get that lex luger pack? the exact one
It was worth watching man
Nice tutorial Dude!!!!
great tutorial. subbed
good job . i learned something new.
But if you add other effects on the 808 and distort it further, when you sidechain the kick, it distorts the kick as well and it starts sounding bad.
Mr different, can you do that in Studio one artist?
man where this pluck comes from? nexus?? is dope :)
Nice man subbed!
Greetings busy works .I've been trying to get a great sounding sub . I've got a technique from a bredrin to use sylenth1 and simpler or sampler as I'm an ableton user but it just don't sound the same. have you any experience in ableton trap making? cheers
Nice tutorial bro
Is side chaining s technique only used for 808 and kick or is there another senario it can be used ?
good video, it pained me when you tried showing the harmonics tho, you should have put an EQ after the distortion there lol
Thank you for this instructive video, especially about sidechaining.
Maybe one question: when i use your sidechaining technique the way you show it, my kick gets affected by the effects i put on the bass mixer track, is there any way to avoid this? Or maybe i did something wrong?

+benjlarsen make sure your sidechaining the kick to the bass track not routing and make sure you select which track your sidechaining in the limiter
+Cory Robertson Thank you, I had a routing problem (as you guessed) , on the track i tried the sidechain, my 808 and kick were already routed to a mixer bus...
that supercharger gt is a life changer
