Awesome video! I would really like to see how to eq short 808s. My big problem is taking out the air sound of them. It would be an amazing video. I looked everywhere and there are no videos about it
Hey thanks for watching? When you say "all the way up" are you referring to a narrow Q? If so, I choose a narrow Q because there were important frequencies around the problem area that I didn't want to cut out. I was looking a specific target to eliminate. Hope that helps!
This cut s your doing around 109 hz...you re working with your hearing... why your cutting those, what is the reason you re cutting them? What do you hear, that you dont like? sorry for my english
Joel Plattner there is a resonance buildup there. Some of those resonances can cause unwanted clashing & muddiness. It’s different between different 808s though. Sometimes it’s 105Hz. Sometimes there is none at all!
Shaun Trillo Why? Any 808 you wind up using will be pitched and processed either before you get your hands on it, or by you to place it in your track. Just wondering about your thought process, maybe I missed something.
Wait a minute, your audio in the intro and the outro kind of doesn't inspire confidence... why don't you keep the same sound quality throughout the video ... at least do a dub of yourself .. that change of scenery is painful.
I mean this video is almost 3 years old. Why don’t you give feedback on a newer video. Feedback from something 3 years ago isn’t constructive at all. Plus, that intro/outro doesn’t change the value of the info. Just saying…
Very dope! This series has helped me a lot! Much appreciated.

Try not to trust every producer. Sometimes you find your own better ways or sounds
So basically listening is key.
HAMMOND duh lol
Leeked Productions dUh
Definitely!
There is never a tutorial for like a wheezy 808
👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽
be more helpful to show how to eq an 808 sample that hasn't been processed, pitched, etc.
