What up, Squad! What ever happened to the hype of this mod? Was it all the new trimmers being released? These trimmers are super dope with the mod. Let me know what you think?
Great video Bro! That's Reality. Many barbers spend a lot of money on new Clippers, unnecessarily, and don't spend money on education. Education is the key.
Thanks for making this video. IMHO, Andis dropped the ball by not officially releasing a full size T outliner width blade for the slimlines. For me, the hardest part about doing the mod was lengthening the holes with the drill. Looked super easy in other videos, but took me forever to get just right.
Man, I'm all over the place trying to start my cordless arsenal. Im currently using oster 76 to debulk, then im using fast feeds and t-outliners, both zero gapped with omnicord ceramic blades and grips. My fast feeds and t-outliners 15 yrs old, and 76 11 yrs old. It wasn't til the babyliss pro kit got my attention, im considering a backup arsenal and I want it to be cordless
Just received mine for Christmas tested on my son out the box required some diggin and then I zero gapped them and used them on my self and they just glided with ease sharp deep line.
I was a big andis fan now I’m Wahl fan love the cordless detailers I hear you about wasting your money cause these companies are gonna put out products knowing that people want the latest. I had to stop cause I noticed I had a lot of clippers I wasn’t using.
A great way to eliminate cords, I believe, is the tomb 45 power mat and power clips. It's a true way to go cordless and keep your instruments charged. Just my opinion.
I have a slimline gtx and didn’t like it. Mainly because I could’nt remove bulk with it. Even on my beard! But I kept it and once I zero gapped it I started using it more even though I had an fx3, which is my favorite trimmer. Lately I bought an li blade for trimming my beard, and I really liked it. So, I just ordered about her slimline, so I can have both an li and a gtx blade just for lining up. So know your tools and what they’re capable of. I use my Wahl balding clipper for removing bulk. Great video by the way! Subscribed!
Out here speaking the truth 💯. If it ain't broken don't fix it, if you know what works for you make that thing better, there ain't nothing wrong with mods if you know they work for you.
One thing about wireless is that you'll definitely replace the more, corded just lasts forever if taken care of properly, that being said cordless just makes more sense🤷♂️
Ice cold overalls! Where did you get those? Any tips for shaving your head bald with trimmers? I can't use a razor or foil razor because I am prone to razor bumps on the side of my head and back center.
I have the andis slim outliner 2s with a Wahls t outliner blade and that mod works perfectly for me. I guess it's like to each its own. Whatever works.
Question for you Is there a modification for the Slimline pro 2 straight out the box they are the worst liners ever. I have the Slimline pro Li and they are great, but the pro 2 you can't adjust them. What's a possible suggestion?
I can’t hear the “ crunch” sound of my slim line while cutting anymore, I bought new blades and still the same way, you thing it lost the power? Because I have mines for over 5 years
Interesting comparison. Can we tribute or take the difference in sound due to being broke-in or the slight amount of hair accumulated within the trimmers? Awesome work btw 👍👍
I'm looking to buy the Slimline Li trimmer for use with my new beard and possibly doing sideburns, around my ears, and back of my neck in between haircuts. I'm not looking to zero gap because I'm too afraid to cut myself and I have pretty bad skin to begin with. Should I attempt the GTX mod or will the stock Li blade be good enough for what I need?
Would you recommend these trimmers to do skin fades or baldy cuts? I want a pair of clippers/trimmers that can do just that... Do you have any other recommendations?
It’s ok with the mod. Without the mod, I wouldn’t recommend it for balding out. The blade is too small. You can use a pair of t outliners if you aren’t a barber, if so, use a 00000 on a detachable blade clipper.
You are absolutely right about we shouldn't be spending a lot of money on clippers and that's why been buying Chinese cordless clippers that work just as well AND fraction of the price! 😉
I would recommend buying these instead of doing the mod yourself. Andis did the mod from the factory, if you want that. The regular slimline is fine as well. amzn.to/3thxwoZ
@@ruggiero1206 the andis factory mod come with a deep tooth gtx blade; which is my favorite blade. If you do the mod yourself, you can put either blade you want. Honestly, the regular slimline pro li’s will serve you just fine for the purpose of edging your beard. amzn.to/36Q2nl9
I´ve been thinking about getting the slimeline pro li but havent pulled the trigger because i have never seen anyone use the guards in them and i need them to fade my beard(its just for home use) instead of taking it all out. I also cant find information on whether there are bigger sized guards available for them as 10mm is too short. Do you happen to have used the guards in them and can you tell me if they wont fall off or something? I could get another machine dedicated to beard trimming but the 2 hour battery life and 2 hour charge really comes in handy.
The guards are pretty sturdy, and those are the only ones I know that they offer for that trimmer. Don’t forget to use my link in the description if you buy them. Good luck
I do my shaving but want to get the lines right on my beard on my cheek and my stash.. Would these be good enough? I use an eyebrow blade but also shave my head too, what else would I use to keep my head clean?
I decided to not buy $100 clipers or trimers so i opted for a $100 kit from ali expres kit #4 kemei 1986z, 5027, and 1102. They hit hard with there respectful blades swap
My trimmers dont sound as strong as yours. If I tighten the blade down too much, it sounds like it’s struggling. If I loosen it, the blade starts to wiggle. Any advise?
MMA BARBER LIFE they’re are about 2 years old. That’s probably why. I also bought a kit from 3versince. Seen it on UA-cam. It came with a metal T-guide. Just opened it back up and realized that It was rubbing on the blade. Ended up using the original T-guide that came with the slimline. Everything seems to fit better. I was also able to tighten the blade tight and the trimmer doesn’t seem to struggle and runs a lot smoother now. May look into ordering a new slimline pro li and a GTX blade.
Where can I buy these blades and how are yours hitting so sharp? my andis slimline pro Ali’s are zero gapped but don’t hit as sharp as these barbers on UA-cam
Kay funmi I used a basic Gtx Blade that is zero gapped and modified. The regular slimline blade works really well when set properly. You have to adjust them properly.
The slimline L I s are GREAT Stock. Don't need no stinking mod. Im like you.. in that I have clippers and trimmers up the Ass. Im a tool JUNKIE haha.
