    ADDTIONAL NOTE: For those asking how many cans I used, I don't remember the number. I lost track after a while. I know it was at least 15, but it may have been more.

    That turned out BEAUTIFUL!!
    *I did notice the difference in the spray nozzles? Did you use a different type of paint from the base to the top coat?
    *Also, is it a good durable finish for setting wet glasses/cups on? I’m thinking about painting the top of my dining table black.
    Thanks for such a great video from prep to finish!!!

      Thanks, Kim! I don't disclose prices for commissions because determining what to charge is different for everyone and every piece.
      If you need some guidance, there are many videos here on UA-cam by creators who talk about the business side of things. You can also find charts online with suggested price ranges. You can find them by going on Pinterest or Google, and searching "furniture refinishing price sheet". I hope that helps!

    How do you keep bugs from landing on the wet paint and messing it up?

    • @ChicAntiquebyHolly
      @ChicAntiquebyHolly  2 роки тому

      You can't do anything about that if you are outdoors, unfortunately. Luckily, I only got one bug on one of the chairs and I released it before the paint dried. It's a big risk, but I only spray outdoors for my safety.

  • @dianaduncan4800

    How long do you wait between coats? Whenever I spray paint things, if I wait 24 hours and don’t put all the coats on the same day, the paint bubbles up.

    • @ChicAntiquebyHolly
      @ChicAntiquebyHolly  2 роки тому +1

      I always follow the manufacturer's instructions on the back of the can. For this particular paint, they recommend re-coating after 1 hour.
      Bubbling is really frustrating and can be caused by many factors: cold temperatures, reaction between the paint & the surface, heavy application, high humidity, or the previous coat wasn't ready to be recoated. In my experience, it usually bubbles because I applied it too thick.
