He seemed to be doing well, otherwise. I think they really tried more than most people would! He seemd happy with his bassinet and toys. I think with cats it's instinctual. He didn't choose naughty behavior.
I feel bad that it didn't work out for Tom Foolery's prospective humans. They sound like WONDERFUL people!! I have a PTSD cat who is also a pee cat. It's not easy, and if I was living with a family (rather than being the solo cat lady that I am), it would be really hard to deal with all that. Janis~ I agree with you 110% on everything you said. It's a beautiful thing to see each and every one of your 'adoptable' cats get that chance at having a family of their own! Tom Foolery will probably take a small amount of time to adjust again, but he KNOWS where he is and he knows that he still has plenty of folks that love and care about him. He is a lovely boy and is the perfect reason for me to plan my next visit!!! 😉🥰🥰

The four new kids are very cute. Little Sawyer is a fluffy heartbreaker! They are so lucky Furball was able to take them. Scooby Snack is such a spicy little nugget!

I do feel bad for Tom Foolery because he loved his home and family so much. It made me cry so much that Carl my rescued cat came over to hug and comfort me. I understand that Tom will be fine but for now I am sad.
Tomflirtery was in an awesome home. His parents shared his home journey on the after adoption page with photos and video and he never looked the least bit stressed. I am certain his family were amazing. As happy as I was to know he got to go home, I am glad that he had the option to come back to FFCS where he can live out the rest of his life. My heart breaks for his family, they loved him so and the decision to take him back to the sanctuary had to be a hard decision for them. My heart goes out to all involved! 💖🐈💖🐈💖
I have 9 cats. 1 of them would only go #1 and #2 outside the litterbox. It took 1 year for him to go #1 in the box, but after almost 3 years now, he still goes #2 outside on the floor.
No she's not going to push her butt up because she was sleeping so soundly and so good and so comfortably and you just went and jumped on her and started rubbing her down and she didn't like that so no she's not going to purr you have to get them when they're awake not asleep😮😢😢😢😢
I adopted a cry baby boycat who was returned to the shelter after being adopted. He drove the people nuts always crying but I got used to it over time. Umm 17 years time.
Sometimes it takes several months for a cat to adjust to a new home it's hard on them to adjust because their nature is to be careful and to be scared and to so they can save their lives and so when they go to a new place all the new smells and they might have other animals in the house and children jumping around screaming and stuff and it takes them a long time to adjust sometimes and people that won't give them more than 3 days to adjust then they don't need a cat
I have two males who spray walls and bed, chairs. I have wee pads all over, and it's difficult, but they're seniors and we deal with it, but not everyone can. So sad for the family, I'm sure they got attached to him.

Poor Tom, he was just getting used to his new surroundings. Some people are not into having pets from the bottom of their hearts, they want a well behaved animal all the time. He needed time. I'm glad he has you all. We've seen our cat spray in the house before, but don't throw him out. We do our best to educate him.
I'm taking in a lot of cats over the years and I had three or four at one time spray literally everything in my house including the burners on the electric stove I had to get a new stove it was horrible they sprayed and peed in all my shoes on the sofa everywhere there was not one spot on the wall that was unmarked with a black light it was just awful and I suffered horribly over it and it never crossed my mind to dump them or give them away or whatever because once you get them you got to love them you got to take care of them and I just got those enzymes and sprayed it and I just wipe down the wall and finally a couple of them died and I only had one left that did it and he lived to be 20 but the last two years or so he stopped but he would stand in the litter box and pee over the side so I had to have pee pads all the way around the litter box and I taped the pee pad to the wall where he likes to spray and he would spray that but he stopped doing that finally. I had another one that didn't get neutered and he was 2 years old cuz you have to have him neutered by about 6 months old to prevent that and when you have a neutered older some of them will stop and some of them won't so this cat decided he was going to pee in the house because the other one did it and when he sprayed one time and I saw him and I screamed so loud and chased him and scared him and he did it one more time and I screamed again and he never did it again it's been years and then I took in a Siamese that turned out to be FIV be positive and I don't know what to do about him cuz I was going to find a home for him a home and he sprayed everything outside he sprayed constantly so he came in my house and in the period of 5 minutes he turned his tail up to spray three times and every time I screamed real loud and after the third time he never did it again and that was before he was neutered and then I had him neutered but I've been keeping him quarantine in the front room because I've got other males I'm afraid they'll decide to fight because even if they've been neutered if they learned to fight sometimes they'll still fight and I just can't risk that because I don't have the money for extensive vet bills so how do I find a home for an FIV cat and also it's very hard to let him go cuz I'm terrified they won't be good to him because you never know. And so the Siamese has never sprayed in that front room at all so if he comes out around the other cats I don't know if he'll be competitive and that might cause him to spray I just don't know. But I don't think I can live with it again I already served 20 years of time maybe longer maybe 22 years😢😢😢

I talk to our tabby cats like baby talk tothem and say ilove you
Also they spray sometimes when they're stressed out and they're nervous and scared and that it makes them feel calmer to have their scent everywhere

Middle iso room is Jezebelle and her kittens. First iso room went to the meet and greet room and the Mom's were let out to the Sanctuary
