Must be super nice to have Gundam base limited kits in local hobby shops 😩 wish that happened at my local hobby stores
We have a lot of one man shops here that gets their stocks directly from Japan, so I’ve seen some Gundam Base Limited kits here being sold for almost the exact price as the ones in the actual Gundam Base.
Like the RX-78-2 ver. 3 clear color was being sold for like 60 USD in Japan and I recall seeing that here in the Philippines being sold for like 60-62 USD, so for me that only brought one luggage, it wasn’t worth buying compared to other stuff 😆
Going to gunpla shopping is the most important thing to do in the holidays , Suratos
I going in a few months. I am bring a few luggage there. Thanks for the info very much! 5 luggage can't escape
This was really cool to see, I havent heard of Gundam Bas Tokyo, thanks for sharing!
Glad you enjoyed! Thanks for watching!
Honestly the only thing from gundam base that you should get is the store exclusives.
Interesting they did some rearranging on their shelves and there are some new kits too. Visiting Japan is a really overwhelming experience especially when you visit a Gundam Base, so it is totally normal to film really fast since you are trying to take it all in really fast. I don't recommend anyone to see my trip to Japan since I did same thing and no matter how hard I tried I couldn't slow down while filming. We only have on hobby store over here which is really cool place, but the owner can't afford to bring all the kits so when I went to Japan I did a lot of kit shopping. Like you I didn't know how to handle them so I decided to ship them by Japan mail which was really pricy and I thought maby it was better if I brought the boxes at the airport and payed for them as extra luggage.
I think for my baggage we paid a total of 60$, I was able to bring home i think 8-10 kits, my tools plus the gifts and souvenirs I got for my baby cousins and stuff, so certainly not a bad deal. When I go back I definitely need more baggage space though 🤣
That was awesome, but as I said I got a LOT of model kits in my trip and some are non Gundam. I even got some gunpla magazines (which are kinda heavy) so I ended up with three large boxes that coast me around 700$ to ship them to my country by Japan mail. Some of my friends told me I was better off loading them on my plane and paid to the extra weight since it was so pricy anyway at least they will arrive with me that way.@@NicoSuratos
Ohh wow! That's a LOT lot! 😆 we also had the option of mailing it but I was too excited to bring them home with me instead of waiting a month or something for it to arrive, plus what I got was a lot less than yours so putting them in my luggage was the best option
Love it! Keep on inspiring Champ!
Thank you for watching!
Can you please share where are these “cheaper option” stores in the Philippines? 😮 I ended up spending around 90k yen on kits and tools during my last visit 💸😂
Congrats on your GBWC journey! 🍾🎉
You spent 90k yen in Japan? Damnnn 😏😆
So the cheaper options that I mentioned applies just to the Perfect Grade kits like I said in the video. And there’s really no specific stores here, I just like browsing around online, on shopee, fb marketplace, gunpla pages and in physical stores around the metro.
My dad actually makes fun of me because even if the only difference in price is 5 pesos, I buy the cheaper one 😆, like 2 stores can be selling the same exact kit but one store is selling it for 5 pesos cheaper, I’ll buy in that store lol so with that said, when I say I’ve seen cheaper options, it might not be a big deal for others but anyways, an example would be the PG Astray Red Frame, I think this was around 22,600 yen there at the Gundam Base and in the PH, I last saw Toytown selling it for around 20,500 yen (or 8k php) not a huge difference but if you take into account the luggage space a PG kit takes up, taking away extra space to get a lot more kits and tools, I definitely thought it wasn’t worth buying there.
@@NicoSuratos lol yeah I get what you’re saying 😂
Personally, I think it’s a great time to go gunpla shopping in Japan coz of the exchange rates. All the kits I got there were 1k-2k Php cheaper than the ones in the Philippines. Also, you made the right call not to binge buy lots of kits, I had to prepare 2 luggages for all the kits I bought 🥴 buuut I’m just too excited to start building. Hopefully I could paint as good as you do in the future 🤭
Main reason why I didn’t buy lots of kits is because in order to join the GBWC here in the PH, we need the bankee sticker, which obv is not on any of the Gunpla in Japan so as someone who joins contests, it would be a waste of money to buy there. But it’s definitely a good idea for casual hobbyists cause like you said, the exchange rates are in our favor! Also Just enjoy the hobby! Don’t worry about being any good right now, that will surely follow! Happy Holidays too! 😁
@@NicoSuratos what’s a bankee sticker? 😲
A small sticker on the side of the box to show that the kit is from the official distributor of Gunpla in the Philippines which is Bankee Trading
This is a dream 😍
How much was the fukuoka nu gundam u bought?
Hello thank you for the video! Am visiting the gundam base in 2 weeks, like to check if you remember seeing the mgex strike freedom there?
I don’t think I saw it. But this was back in december, it’s been a few months since so they could have reprinted or restocked those
Heaven❤
Painting only? What about certain molds and unique stickers and decals? Are you going to scratch build?
What are you talking about? The contest? GBWC?
Hi, If I may ask, where do you buy gunpla in the Philippines?
Usually Toytown or GundamPH on shopee since I’m always after the kits with Bankee stickers.
Other shops I buy from are wasabitoys, sam’s model kits and best toys (at greenhills)
@@NicoSuratos thank you! I appreciate it. Good luck on your journey ahead! Nice content
Great video, looking forward to visiting myself in April 2024. At 7:11 there is a mostly white kit with some orange accents, do you know which kit this is?
I'm not familiar with the kit sorry
@@NicoSuratosno worries and thank you for replying. With some searching and it bit of luck I was able to identify the kit today. It is the MG 1/100 ReZEL Type-C Defenser A + B Unit [GR]. However, as the kit was released in 2013, it probably going to be difficult/expensing to find this kit today. But I do like the design a lot
@@jamesevans7056i thought it waa the harute or kyrios they both have orange
👏👏👏
Did the store got many PG kits ? I planned to go to Tokyo next year and I'm looking forward to cop some PGs.
At 3:00 mark, you can see the shelves of PG kits that they have
@@NicoSuratostysm 😊
Where can you buy gunplas that are cheaper in the Philippines like you mentioned in the video?
I think what I said was that there are some Perfect Grades that are cheaper in the Philippines. You'll have to cross check across various places like fb marketplace, online stores and local stores to find the cheapest of whatever kit you're looking for. There's certainly no one local store that sells all their stocks cheaper than Japan.
is the place wheel chair friendly?
The Big Gundam Unicorn Statue is quite easy to visit and accesible to everyone. Unfortunately the Gundam Base Tokyo Store itself can be a bit tricky to navigate with a wheelchair.
We took an elevator towards the 7th floor where the store is located, plus the walk is easy for a wheelchair user as well, but inside the store, it can get crowded and some areas are not wide enough for a wheelchair to pass through, because there’s a lot of shelves and displays around.
thanks for the info 🙂@@NicoSuratos
Do you see any calibarn there, like is it still unavailable anywhere? Bcs i will go to japan in june 24, its really expensive here loll please reply me i really need ur help :(
Can’t remember seeing one. But June is still a couple of months away, they could have restocked/reprinted the calibarn by then.
@NicoSuratos thnx for the replay nico
Hi is it affordable to buy kits in gundam base tokyo??
Sure, gunpla will always be cheaper in Japan compared to anywhere else
Have you seen a PG unleashed RX 78-2?
I did not
Since its in a shopping mall, do i need a ticket like at yokohama?
I’m not sure since we just went straight inside but I also didn’t see anyone with a ticket. Sometimes there’s a line to get in tho, since there’s a limit to how many people can be inside at a time, but yeah didn’t see any ticket booths whatsoever
@@NicoSuratos got it. Thank you
Do they still sell the TWC Unicorn RG?
I think so yes
So many of the side f rg sazabi, not a single side f rg nu gundam?
Yeah don’t think so
только Японцы могут купить столько барахла
Is it tax free for the Gundam please? thanks!
If I recall correctly, we didn’t get any tax free shopping in the Gundam Base Tokyo
