This game is just another dumbed down spinoff that happen to have modern day graphics and that is it. Can't live up to the original at all. The only common thing about it is the name of the characters while the locations being heavily altered, some even removed same for monsters, there is at least 50% removed and some mentined ones in the books could be implemented so as the overall story, dialog being changed. So this game isn't a RE2 it's just a stupid spinoff made to cash grab the clueless people. It's on par with the stupid Opperation Racoon City, railshooters and other abominations in the series.
Yeah and ironically enough from what I've read in the past, type A is most prevalent in what region of the world? You guessed it...the Oriental. Btw, according to this blood type as well, a vegetarian lifestyle is most compatible. Go figure.
Imo the Resident Evil 2 Remake is the best game in the series. A combination of Resident Evil 2 with the controls being a fluid mix between 4, 5 and 6, the graphics of 7 and a similar aiming system to the original trilogy, where standing still gives you the best results. Plus some of the most developed characters (Claire especially) of a game that I played. 10/10

Bonus Bonus fact: RE3 was supposed to be spinoff game focusing on other survivors of the raccoon city escaping the city. But RE4 which was supposed to be next main game was still in development. So they threw jill in the spinoff and changed the story somewhat and VOILA, Resident Evil 3!

In the arklay mansion and racoon city,there was an atmosphere of dread and suspense.Then the rest of the series focused more on the action side like re5 and re6. I hope it gets a reboot and focuses more on giving the audience a feeling of dread rather than turning it into another action filled garbage.
Most interesting trivia I know personally is that in RE2’s development they were toying with the idea of Leon having a bloodhound companion, they scrapped it at some point but I’ve always wondered how it would have affected it and the following games if they followed through with the feature

Marilyn Manson's score is one of the reasons why I love the soundtrack so much. In an interview, he revealed that he was hired to do a couple of songs that would be featured in the movie and at the time he was experimenting with midi mixing. He got so inspired to do a lot of different soundscapes that were going to be the background of the songs, but then he presented them individually and the producer that hired him was not expecting it but loved them all the same. So he let them use The Fight Song instead and Slipknot's My Plague was the song that stole the spotlight. If you haven't seen it I highly recommend the official music video for that song. Although I usually hate when movies are spliced into music videos this one works so well and the entire video is just insane and peppered with Resident Evil nostalgia!
Did you know in the original manual or (guide I cant remember which one) of Resident evil 2, its stated that the reason Leon showed up late to the station was because he had just got dumped and had stay a night at a hotel and drinked away his pain. in this story of the remake its kinda different, if you haven't played you'ill see for your self.

The last thing we needed (lore-wise) is a new protagonist (which frankly added nothing to the story; tofu is a more interesting character than Ethan). As entertaining as Re7 may have been, it is weird to me that it'd take a spot in the main series. What Capcom needs to do is wrap up lore before starting up elsewhere (like with Re7). But I don't think it's gonna happen.

Actually, he wrote the music for the Dualshock port of Director's Cut. Original Director's Cut was basically the same game as original Resident Evil with a few minor changes and came with the Resident Evil 2 demo

Devil May Cry "idea" was actually borne from a glitch in the game physics that made the enemies, who got hit, to start "flying" and barely hit the ground if you shoot fast enough. That's when the dev came up with the idea for the 1st DMC.
Ah, this may be spoilers for the remake, but I think the original was going to have a gunpowder mixing mechanic similar to what's in the remake. The gunpowder is coded into the original (you can access it with a Gameshark), and it does combine to make usable ammo. I can't seem to find any info about it, but the fact that the gunpowder's already in the code leads me to believe that Capcom had planned to use it, but dropped it last minute for whatever reason. Sorry if this is worded weird; it's almost two in the morning.

My moms friend played a zombie in one of the resident evil movies and she had to wear a dress and they had a ton of zombies someone stepped on the dress and she fell causing her to get trampled. Luckily Mila noticed and stopped production to make sure she was okay. She gave me bullet casings from the set with blood still on them which was cool.
Just got resident evil 2 and it's just as awsome as it was when first released in ps1. I still get the same jumpyness and hairs standing on end. LOVE IT! I only play it in the day time. 😂😂
Devil May Cry 1 is my all time favourite game. I hope Capcom will do a remake of that someday, the new Devil May Cry 5 looks promising in the fact it uses 4 enemy designs from the first game.
Resident evil 4 and 6 fall kind of in the same boat for love with me because both have good gameplay just one has more lovable charm (RE4) *clearing throat as opposed to RE6 which could have been great if they had longer campaigns for all, certain sections were different, you dont deal with the same type of enemy at chapter 4 throughout their campaigns, and on top of that they implement survival/horror for leon and action for chris along with a combination for Jake then that would have been a resident evil to remember
The soundtrack from the original resident evil movie had sounds only dogs could hear, the directors chihuahua would start barking when it played and Marilyn Manson admitted to adding those sounds to add another level of atmosphere to the viewing experience
Sometimes I wonder what the franchise would look like today if CAPCOM had stuck with the fog/hookman version of pre-RE4. I find the style and tonal change to be very very intriguing and I would like to see something like that released. Doesn’t have to be RE related but I would like to see something that is like it in style and atmosphere.
The fixed camera was fine, but stopping to shoot killed any immersion. I love Resident Evil, and I am able to enjoy the gun play when I take the time to get used to it.
The best of the films is apocalylse. It has the scene from re3 where the zombies overwhelm the police. And they recreate the chopper scene from code Veronica where claire runs from the helicopter as its shooting at her
The game is amazing. Perfect blend of old and new. Getting The deluxe cheapens the whole experience of alternate clothing but i am hoping the dlc makes up for that
I knew most of these, I've also recently found out that Resident Evil 2 being 2 Discs, was a mistake, it was supposed to only be 1 Disc but the Audio was too large so they had to split it.
I hope they make a Resident Evil 3 as well (not remake per say.. but a New game Just with the same story with extras and a Lot of new stuff.. like they did with Resident Evil 2 2019)

@@tyson9114 Aside from the fact that it doesnt looks or feel like a RE game at all? The fact that they butchered the lore of the entire franchise just to sell a VR game? The uncharismatic and extremely unbelievable protagonist, the horrendous level design and monsters (or lack of), the lack of coherance on the writing, etc, etc. I could go on, but the game doesn't deserve a wall of text.
If it was a new IP, I would've liked it. But its RE, so kill it with fire. Its on par with ORC.
@@tyson9114 the lore is a mess as it is. With twice as many questions than answers. The last thing we needed (lore-wise) is a new protagonist (which frankly added nothing to the story; tofu is a more interesting character than Ethan). As entertaining as Re7 may have been, it is weird to me that it'd take a spot in the main series. What Capcom needs to do is wrap up lore before starting up elsewhere (like with Re7). But I don't think it's gonna happen.
thank god they didn't go with the fixed cameras/tank controls, the original games are still there for those who want that, the rest of us had enough of it by the end of the '90s...

Actually, he wrote the music for the Dualshock port of Director's Cut. Original Director's Cut was basically the same game as original Resident Evil with a few minor changes and came with the Resident Evil 2 demo

Should have mentioned that all the door opening scenes (on psx, dreamcast, gamecube, etc) were actually their because there was load time between different rooms. and yes, RE2 (and remake) is awesome!
Devil May Cry "idea" was actually borne from a glitch in the game physics that made the enemies, who got hit, to start "flying" and barely hit the ground if you shoot fast enough. That's when the dev came up with the idea for the 1st DMC.

Ah, this may be spoilers for the remake, but I think the original was going to have a gunpowder mixing mechanic similar to what's in the remake. The gunpowder is coded into the original (you can access it with a Gameshark), and it does combine to make usable ammo. I can't seem to find any info about it, but the fact that the gunpowder's already in the code leads me to believe that Capcom had planned to use it, but dropped it last minute for whatever reason. Sorry if this is worded weird; it's almost two in the morning.
RE2 is awesome having a blast doing a let's play on it. Glad they did what they had too for the wait.

Just started playing the resident evil 2 remake. So good!!!! Brings back memories.
I want the modding community to chsnge the zombies moans to David Draimans "WOOOOAHAHAHAHAH", the licker screams to Draimans choking noise, and Trants foot steps to some heavy guitar riffs.
RE has a lot of fans probably why the movies did so well...they were awesome anyways but I'm sure the dedicated fans helped. FYI if they made ANOTHER one it too would be awesome
Really wish they could have done the partner campaign in Re1. Barry stuck in the jail cell, Chris and Jill finding Rebecca... It sounds much better than the separate campaigns which I still do love

My moms friend played a zombie in one of the resident evil movies and she had to wear a dress and they had a ton of zombies someone stepped on the dress and she fell causing her to get trampled. Luckily Mila noticed and stopped production to make sure she was okay. She gave me bullet casings from the set with blood still on them which was cool.

Just got resident evil 2 and it's just as awsome as it was when first released in ps1. I still get the same jumpyness and hairs standing on end. LOVE IT! I only play it in the day time. 😂😂
Devil May Cry 1 is my all time favourite game. I hope Capcom will do a remake of that someday, the new Devil May Cry 5 looks promising in the fact it uses 4 enemy designs from the first game.

Resident evil 4 and 6 fall kind of in the same boat for love with me because both have good gameplay just one has more lovable charm (RE4) *clearing throat as opposed to RE6 which could have been great if they had longer campaigns for all, certain sections were different, you dont deal with the same type of enemy at chapter 4 throughout their campaigns, and on top of that they implement survival/horror for leon and action for chris along with a combination for Jake then that would have been a resident evil to remember
The soundtrack from the original resident evil movie had sounds only dogs could hear, the directors chihuahua would start barking when it played and Marilyn Manson admitted to adding those sounds to add another level of atmosphere to the viewing experience

Sometimes I wonder what the franchise would look like today if CAPCOM had stuck with the fog/hookman version of pre-RE4. I find the style and tonal change to be very very intriguing and I would like to see something like that released. Doesn’t have to be RE related but I would like to see something that is like it in style and atmosphere.

The fixed camera was fine, but stopping to shoot killed any immersion. I love Resident Evil, and I am able to enjoy the gun play when I take the time to get used to it.

The best of the films is apocalylse. It has the scene from re3 where the zombies overwhelm the police. And they recreate the chopper scene from code Veronica where claire runs from the helicopter as its shooting at her

The game is amazing. Perfect blend of old and new. Getting The deluxe cheapens the whole experience of alternate clothing but i am hoping the dlc makes up for that

I knew most of these, I've also recently found out that Resident Evil 2 being 2 Discs, was a mistake, it was supposed to only be 1 Disc but the Audio was too large so they had to split it.
