The Flexispot E7 retails around the $600 mark, and is the cheapest four leg standing desk I’ve tested that is actually stable. But just how stable is it, and is the rest of the desk any good?

I'm glad that the UK finally has access to a standing desk frame with 4 legs!
Unfortunately, I'm not in any position to replace my existing 2-legged standing desk, but if I end up changing it out in the future, I'll probably get the 4-legged frame.
was waiting for this review, thanks!
You're welcome -Greg
I've built two standing desks using the VIVO Electric Dual Motor Standing Desk Frame (DESK-V122EB ). One for my work PC and one for my Gaming PC. The first desk I built is 6’ long and 25” wide and 1-½” thick. I used a live edge butcher block counter top as my desk top that I ordered from Lowes. My second desk I built was for personal use, so I didn’t need to go as big to accommodate three monitors so buying the same frame, I went with a 4’ long by 25” wide standard butcher block also from Lowes. I ran into the same issue when I built my VIVO desk with it not going low enough, measuring to the bottom of the top it's 28-1/2" so kind of a bummer, but I use an Ergofoam footrest with my BTOD Leap V2, so it works just fine for me. I'm a big fan of the VIVO frames even though the weight of the counter is too much for the collision detection, so I had to turn that off.
Another great video from BTOD, keep it up guys! Also, not sure exactly why, but for whatever reason that Amia looked especially good paired with that desk.
Thanks for sharing more about your setup! Thanks for the positive feedback on the video as well -Greg
I was previously looking at the Steelcase Solo for three reasons.
1. Price.
2. It's apparently more stable than the Ology.
3. Because the more streamlined functionality and Steelcase quality components will mean better reliability.
That said, should I continue with my purchase, or perhaps gives this option a look?
I was super excited to see this review! Question: As someone who is 5’7, I’m guessing my best bet is going to still be the Uplift V2 Commercial due to the lower height adjustability.
I want to remain ergonomic while seated WITHOUT a foot rest, so as someone who is 5’7, Uplift V2 Commercial’s 25.3” lower range will be better than Flexispot E7’s 27” low end. Am I correct? Would this be your recommendation for me? Thanks!
The Uplift V2 Commercial goes down to 22.6" which is more than low enough. The standard v2 goes to 25.3". Both are better than the E7 Plus -Greg
it would be great if you review ikea uppspel standing desk because its around 600$
linus tech tips endorsed table ? saw this tumbnail in video...😄
what is your opinion on the normal e7 frame? All reviews praise it, but these channels are usualy not focused on that kind of products, so I would like to hear the opinion of someone who tests more of these desks
From what I know about (I’m in the market for a stand desk too) the E7 is the same as the E6, only the control panel is different. So if you look for a E6 review (there are plenty) it’s basically what you get with the E7
@@hitub3 I have the E7 myself and I really like it, but I'm in no means an expert, I also got a custom wooden top making it more of a premium feel I have a 2000x800x40 block of wood on top, making the desk feel and look veeery nice. Paid arround 390€ in total for the entire desk (Frame and top).
I was just wondering what btod had to say about the E7 as it is in a higher price range than the amazon desks, while still being entry level and they never did a review afaik
@@marsimplodation nice price, where do you get it in Europe at this price? I’m planning on purchasing the E6 from Amazon.
Btw I was talking about the frame only, my bad.
@@hitub3 did youtube once again not send my answer? I got it on the flexispot website, they currently have a sale untill the end of april
We need a E7Q review!
I think this was E7Q :) according to the website all 4 legged desks end with Q
@@maciekwar E7Q has 4 motors while the E7 Plus only has 2, there's also some other differences on the frame itself.
So far I have bought the Uplift V2 and Haworth Fern thanks to you guys. My wallet is not happy, but I am :) Love your content!!
Great to hear! Glad we could help! -Greg
How to does the wobble compare to the Uplift V2 commercial? Frankly it looks like this is more sturdy.
Uplift v2 4 leg is what I would compare the 4 leg flexispot too, since that would be apples to apples. Uplift is more stable -Greg
Oh no, I was talking about the uplift v2 commercial that has two legs and a crossbar. It seems like the e7 plus is cheaper and more stable based on this video? The uplift commercial video that was made shows a lot of front back wobble
@@stevenbrown3249 @btodtv. sorry but im invested in this answer
I think this was E7Q :) according to the website all 4 legged desks end with Q
Is the stability that much better that it is worth spending the extra money on the E7 plus over the normal E7?
I would really like to know as well. Their E7 seems to be by far the most affordable desk for its level of features and quality. But its hard to tell if it holds up as much as advertised.
@@Animationsforever for my needs the E7 is perfect, but I'm still wondering the same. There is definetly a difference in expertise between btod and me
@@Animationsforever Yeah I'm currently on the fence between the two desks. I've got three smaller monitors I am looking to mount using clamping monitor arms and the last thing I want is for it to be unstable. Because of that the 4 leg option seems to have it's advantages for sure.
Yes, I believe it is -Greg
Great review, thanks. I do not understand why they bring out a desk with a minimum height of 26 inches. That leaves out most woman, to have a potential good fitting desk. I am 6 foot and would prefer 25.5 to be the lowest position, but am ok with 26 inches. For anyone smaller, wanting to type in an ergonomic position, you will want a lower height!
Morning!!
Can you do a review on the Flexispot E8 please?
I do not have plans to review that product. A lot of better options out there to focus on. We will look at E7 Pro and The E7Q later this year -Greg
Same as E8 but with round legs
You should review the updated Uplift 4 leg and the Deskhaus Apex pro next
Uplift 4 leg review coming up soon. No plans to review anything from Deskhaus. Based on how unprofessional the owner of the brand is, I would never recommend anything from them. I would stick to Uplift if you're considering a 4 leg frame from Jiecang. It's the same electronics, motors and gears, with better stability, from one of the largest brands in the standing desk space -Greg
@@btodtvwhat kind of unprofessional things are they doing? Is it industry related or customer related? Even if they are unprofessional, is the desk any good?
A frame at that price should never have exposed motors and rod system like that. You should expect that for a cheaper frame not one at this price.
This isn’t expensive with four columns and that is the reason they share motors vs using 4 -Greg
do NOT buy from FlexiSpot. I ordered my desk 20-Feb and it’s now 21-May. They CANNOT tell me when my desk will ship and they refuse to make any concessions. I’m debating canceling my nearly thousand dollar order as result. I’ll be telling this story in every YT comment I can find.
In which country did you order, which desk?
Have you filed a claim with your credit card company?
This isn't enough information for me
Maybe you should follow the building instruction rather than shooting your incapacity to do so and therefore having to hold the assembly parts together is a wobly fashion!!!
We won't talk about the volume of desks I've assembled in my career, from countless brands and instead focus on your take after skimming through one video on UA-cam -Greg
@@btodtv I was harsh, but I was irritated. You well know that you are suppose to mount them with the top on the floor and you assemble the legs on the transversal beam. So trying to prove your point (that might be valid on the overall product) with some disingenious B_Rolls is the type of strategies consumers are well aware of. We do grow thick skin after being exposed almost continually to dodgy marketing department and also sometimes by enginnering department with designs putting forward parts which will fail in well calculated time. Beforehand I do naturally trust people, but once I flag something, this trust is gone.
