    I have this system and watched a number of tutorials on it. This is the only video I’ve seen that explains exactly how to use the templates and exactly where the cut goes in relation to them.

    I've had this for several years and found it to be very useful. Really cuts down on waste and makes for nice bowl sets.

    Mike with the centring of the bowl you can turn then around and put it back in the mother bowl then use the tailstock to hold the bowl inside the bowl to put a mortise or tenon on

      You can do that for sure Tommy I personally prefer this approach. Many ways to skin the same cat me thinks 🙂

    Hi Mike, Great follow up video. I have considered this tool several times but I really can't see me getting enough use out of it so I have never bought one. Take care Mike. Cheers, Huw

      Thank you Sir. I have been coring every bowl blank I have ... both big and small ... getting obsessed with saving as many as I can now 😂😂

  • @RubenWoodcraft
    @RubenWoodcraft 3 роки тому +1

    If you core out the bigger first, you can flip it around and use the largestbowl as a jam chuck. Either way works, just thought I should mention it

    Good video. I have the Max 3 version of this tool... has 3 different size blades. Fantastic if all your woods are soft. Wont touch hardwoods unless they are greener than Kermit the frog.

    • @MikeWaldt
      @MikeWaldt  3 роки тому

      Thanks Craig. I'm afraid I have to disagree about the hardwoods. I have only thus far used it with dry Ash and Oak and with the 5° relief bevel it comes with, it cores them very successfully.

    Can it be used on a resin and wood bowl? Or is it just strictly for void use?

    • @MikeWaldt
      @MikeWaldt  3 роки тому

      I would not recommend it for resin ... but that's just my opinion Anthony.
