I remember they showed this ad in NSW around the same time. It doesn't matter what state or country it's aimed at; it's still hard-hitting enough to prove driver fatigue can be fatal.
I formed a band years ago and named it after this ad. The band was called Krash Kombi. We broke up after just over a year I'd say due to the commitments we all had.
Lost our beloved youngest daughter to a van driver like this....but he didn't hit a semi, unfortunately, he hit a Dodge Neon and only killed two girls in that car, not himself the selfish sob. 17 years later, he still calls it "an accident". Right.
That says 'km'. Australia did use miles though, until June 30, 1974. On July 1, 1974, we switched to kilometres (and also EU-style signs). When we used MPH, we used US-style signs.
Right off the bat, what a waste of a good campervan. Hell, they could have pulled over and got some sleep and done so in a slightly less automotive environment without having to do much more than unfold the back seat and get out the blankets. Also, that crash looked unsurvivable, given that the campervan didn't have a crumple zone to absorb it or airbags for the occupants in the front.

I Guess Fatigue Got The Better Of All Of you's. #KARMA.
If a driver asks you to talk to them, it means they’re about to go to sleep! Do it.
...and then tell the driver to pull over in a safe spot and sleep!

An ad from the mid-late 90s… only ever caught say the last 30 seconds of it in broken hill though.
¡Ama tú vida, no manejes cansado!
GREAT final, but you should consider choose another thumbnail, because this one kills the surprise element.
Solid as a rock, I am talking about the truck off course.

I remember when Aussies spoke with an Australian accent and not yank.
Kids in Africa could've eaten that bus.
They could've survived this by having been in a modern car with airbags and a crumple zone.
