Turtles-- I didn’t have my microphone cords with me so the audio is a bit less crisp in this one 🥹 Would recommend turning on closed captions. Love you all 🐢
I stated following you on UA-cam 2 years ago, and I started to like New York. Last year I started my masters in NYC and I just graduated on 15th May. You inspired me to come and spend some time in New York, and I had a good time here. Thank you Taylor.💜 Your fan from Asia.
Wow, New York rent is crazy! Your rent is the amount of money I make a month, which is considered “well off” (I’m in Germany). Your place is stunning and I’m glad you can afford it. 👏🏼
I have been quietly watching your videos for quite a while. I was born in New York and worked all over the state before retiring in Kansas. I think your content is superb. Having said that, your title says you are moving when in actuality you didn't. I am not a youtuber but I am a subscriber and misleading titles are rampant on UA-cam. I think your content is exceptional, stands on its own merit, and does not need any help from a misleading title. Best to you.
My favorite part of NYC is the Upper West Side. Cute streets of brownstones and townhomes. Tons of shops, restaurants and variety of styles. Just loved it. I miss NY so much. 🥺
I have such insane apartment envy it kills me how beautiful that space is!! And lowkey I feel like even though yes it's expensive objectively speaking (cue the "you could get a 10 bedroom house in texas for 3k/month!!!!" comments) I think it's kind of a steal for such a beautiful space where you get a private bathroom, private terrace AND have a washer dryer in unit... and those CEILINGS!!! sitting here in my apartment bedroom w one small window that faces a brick wall EXTREMELY jealous of such a good find
The cue the "you could get a 10 bedroom house" comment could not be more real 😂 But aw I appreciate it, agreed we got quite lucky with this find even though it's objectively expensive. But hey, wherever you move next, you'll appreciate it all the more and look back on the small window that faces brick as its own special era in your life 😊
As a homeowner touching on that last part, it really only make sense if you plan to stay somewhere for 5-10 years at the minimum or you will risk losing money to market conditions (if house prices ever come down). So yea if you do plan to move back to LA at some point in next few years, buying just isn't the ideal option.
Literally making me want to move. Btw idk if you’re into nyc vlogs but if so, you might like mine! I’d be sooo grateful if you swung by and took a peek. 🙏 Stick around if you like!
Ok it’s not loose change . However it makes you happy where you live and happiness is the honey of the core … you have to park your truck in a spot that makes you happy sista!!😊
Have you ever thought about long city island? It’s close to manhattan and you can enjoy a view of manhattan. Plus the rent is quite cheaper than the east village!
I waited for the crescendo only to find out you’re staying in your current facility. I was hoping for some dramatic new change. But enjoy where you’re at if you’re really happy with life and your living space. Have a great weekend Taylor!
Taylor, you did well keeping it! If you ever find your SO or are looking to get married, I feel a move would be on your calendar. With housing and the cost of living what it is, it made sense to stay where you are! You’re living your best life in a dream neighbourhood and even with the rent hike, its still not bad compared to a lot of more expensive places! And you have to admit, after living several years in NYC, its grown on you. Thanks for the video! 😊
You are always fun to watch! I love that you don’t have some over produced intro clip. It’s just “hi this is Taylor …” and that’s perfect! ❤. Yup I first saw the 5mil hits video, that’s how I found you.
I’ve never been particularly interested in moving to nyc but if anything would convince maybeee it would be your videos 😂 you make nyc look vibrant yet neighborly
i think your ideal neighbourhood that you described in NYC for me would be the West village/Greenwich village - this is where I'd be doing all those things you described - really local unique nyc feel
I don't think you are romanticizing your life at all. I lived in neighborhood where the coffee guy on the corner felt like family. Good Luck, the apartment is beautiful. I'm a life long New Yorker and once New York gets in your blood, it's hard to leave. I'm 60 and I never see myself leaving, I can't imagine being anywhere else.
Taylor 😍 I absolutely adore your NYC vids! I'm currently on holiday here and I'm soaking up so much inspiration from the cafes and spots you visit. Thanks a ton for always giving the absolute best recommendations! 💖
I like your blooper scenes the most, i literally wait for your entire video end to see behind the scenes videos , very attractive in that to me , causal and homily smile 😢
Girl I don’t blame you for leaving Hell’s Kitchen. I was apartment shopping there and it was so chaotic. Some homeless guy threatened to stab me while i was waiting for the real estate agent to show me a 450 sq foot studio for $3k/mo
Wow and I was thinking of Hells Kitchen next. Btw idk if you’re into nyc vlogs but if so, you might like mine! I’d be sooo grateful if you swung by and took a peek. 🙏 Stick around if you like!
@x_camoncam oh my god I’m sorry that happened to you 😖 but yeah it really do be like that. Some great restaurants and nice to be close to the west side highway, but happy to have left
Whew! It's almost weird how much I love your apartment that I've never even visited in reality LOL. Happy for you that you're getting to keep it a while longer. It really IS a gorgeous place. I would be so happy to wake to those views from your windows (and coffee on your cool little outside porch) every morning. Congrats!
You are wise to stay in. I watch hunting apartments in NY and the rent is insane. For no space at all. You have it, and yes, the light, the terraces, and all the other things that are making your life comfortable are amazing. Enjoy!
Until I came to NYC for the first time and walked around Manhattan I could never understand how anyone could get that "local" or "neighbourhood" feeling in such a huge and compressed city. But when you walk around certain areas, you get exactly that. So I totally get what you mean.
I would like to see a video on the NYC "guarantor problem," where each roommate must have a guarantor for rent for the entire apartment. How do people who don't have rich parents manage this? I've heard the Guarantors and similar services are very expensive and not really a good option.
That's all fine. But moving in NYC costs upwards of $10k - 1st month rent: $4k, security deposit $4k, moving costs: ~$1000. Best to just stay put unless you have a large enough war chest to bear the brunt of the move.
So which part of NYC does Taylor live in? Feel like I want to visit the hole in the wall neighborhoods once it’s time to visit NYC again. I’ve already covered the tourist attractions, but that’s hardly an authentic experience of NYC. The best part about your videos and style is that it somehow allows the viewer to live vicariously through your experience. Keep it up! 🤟🏻
Bonifacio Global City (BGC) in Philippines would be perfect for you, Tay. Its the most walkable city here in Philippines and lots of trees. But of course, its not cheap to live there. Although if you would compare BGC and New York in terms of cost of living, certainly its twice or thrice in New York.
Talk to Cash Jordon next time. He is the king of cheaper apartments in New York City. He’s another UA-cam personality that has been documenting the migrant crisis in nyc for about a year now but is a real estate agent normally specializing in cheaper apartments within the city. He currently lives in Brooklyn but can be reached if you need to as he had to go to the online model for the pandemic and the office he rented out was flooded by a toilet pipe, now he uses a closet in the same building which actually works for him as its just a key board for apartment keys and a printer with maybe a laptop. Think about it.
Enjoy while you can Taylor. At your age (and if having the money) I would've done the same. City life is great and you seem to be a responsible girly so you will be fine! 😄😊
how do you deal with the actual packing and moving every single year? just thinking about it, gets me so tired! i’ve lived in my NJ studio (10 min bus ride away from manhattan) for 5 years.
Hello dear Taylor, well I'm still here and watching your amazing content. It is always so enjoyable and informative. Also you came to the UK, had I known we could have met at The Shard - but maybe next time. Best wishes always - Psyche aka Psyche Thompson UK 🌹

I kinda prefer this audio. Not so... in my face? Love your videos!
Time to get a Pixel phone with Audio Eraser, works like magic ✨
@@courtneyswart8216 Ha, my other friend said the same thing funny enough! appreciate that, thank you so much for watching 😊
Nice video 📽️
The amount of natural light in your room is mind blowing 🤯 Love these kinds of videos!
It makes allllll the difference. Thank you!!

The way you do your sponsors by talking with your “twin” has always struck me as particularly clever and cool!
aw thank youuuuuu. More fun that way ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Yip 🙌🏼 Very entertaining to watch, I don’t skip it (like I often do on other channels) 👀

A lot of creators do this
Im a new subbie i find it hilarious
I love how articulate you are about your thought process. Seems like you've got a beautiful thing going!!

Yes, that first apartment caught my eye and that's when I started following you and watching your videos. That first place was amazing!
Was a GREAT first apartment here
Yours storytelling and the presentation style are on point. You can tell you worked as a consultant for the top firms.
Wow thank you
Taylor! Why you always upload cool video when I go to bed? I can't sleep🤣 Japan is 11pm. But love this video too!
that's my bad, I should've known!!! Have a lovely slumber afterwards

Your creativity is so cool. This is why you’re so fun to watch. You’re different. Out of the box thinker.
SO nice of you to say 🥹❤️
Invest in a place for all of the right reasons. Real estate ownership provides lots of upside especially in NYC
SUCHA ASTONISHING EXQUISITE way of expressing yourself really luv that
Great decision on another year renewal on the place. Your bedroom with the space and the windows is heavenly. The outside terrace is everything! 🎉
One of the best Trilogies in history. 👌💯
🙈 I blush

Hello Taylor, So it’s wonderful that you’re doing and when I’m watching your videos I’m enjoyed every the moment.
We know we can call a place home when we love running into the same dogs in the neighbourhood ❤❤
Riiiiiight
Once again an outstanding video. Very informative and enjoyable to watch. You are definitely a pro at doing this!! Good Job (again)!!
Awwwwww THANK YOU so much. So glad you enjoyed 😊
Followed your journey since that Graham stephan podcast haha. So cool to see how far you've came!
wow!! Thank you for sticking around
I like your blooper scenes the most, i literally wait for your entire video end to see behind the scenes videos , very attractive in that to me , causal and homily smile 😢
As someone who has bought a house at 27: you've got all the time in the world to buy if that's what you want to do ❤

Love your seamless incorporation of the sponsor

the water pressure part was so accurate i cannot stress this enough ohmygawd
It’s a good day when Taylor releases a video 🎉
I am from Egypt and I hope to live in New York City one day. I believe true happiness exists. Lucky who lives in New York
Taylor looks like she is aging backwards. This girl is glowing with energy.
You are wise to stay in. I watch hunting apartments in NY and the rent is insane. For no space at all. You have it, and yes, the light, the terraces, and all the other things that are making your life comfortable are amazing. Enjoy!
Well, that was a nice place Taylor. Nice apartment. Beautiful location. And your voice was great, trust me. No cheap thrills.
You rock, thank you sm
Good water pressure is underrated.
The rent is crazy, but as long as there are people who are ready to pay, nothing will change any time soon.🙂
Until I came to NYC for the first time and walked around Manhattan I could never understand how anyone could get that "local" or "neighbourhood" feeling in such a huge and compressed city. But when you walk around certain areas, you get exactly that. So I totally get what you mean.

None of us need guarantors in my apartment so I’m not sure how that works actually
Great video! Yeah that apartment you live in now is really nice. Really nice location. I enjoyed watching!
So glad I get to live in NYC vicariously through you - I’ll be there myself someday!!
Is creating not full time WFH? Do you have an office or just work in coffee shops a lot? Great video!
That's all fine. But moving in NYC costs upwards of $10k - 1st month rent: $4k, security deposit $4k, moving costs: ~$1000. Best to just stay put unless you have a large enough war chest to bear the brunt of the move.
The clickbaity-est title to ever clickbait.
Can you do a video explaining the best neighborhoods to live in in NYC?
Is it common to move around a ton in the city
What neighborhood do you live in? I live in Murray Hill right now and the only familiar faces I see are a few neighbors in the elevator
5% rent inflation isn't bad anymore. It's been 10% - 20% in Calif* for the last 5 years. The fed is cutting interest rates because that's now normal.
I’m really curious to hear more about why you don’t plan to stay in NYC long term and where you think you might end up
So glad you are enjoying your apartment Taylor!! Thanks for another great video and your thoughts on looking for an apartment!
Aw thanks Nathan!!
So which part of NYC does Taylor live in? Feel like I want to visit the hole in the wall neighborhoods once it’s time to visit NYC again. I’ve already covered the tourist attractions, but that’s hardly an authentic experience of NYC.

I think Your videos not only for explore about new York city .we could learn also English as well from your videos.😊
Can't wait for the home tour of your 3rd apartment!!!❤❤😍😍
watta smooth transition 4:47 - 4:49 ⚡
thank you for noticing 😎

Wait. If you only work from home once a week where else are you working? Also always romanticize your life.
I like the breakdown! Also that same runner ran by in two different points of the video
What neighborhood do you live in now!? I would love to know, I didn't catch it if it was mentioned in the video somehow.
Okay, after this year... You and the roomies need to get a cool brownstone! LOL.... The area you filmed in was beautiful!
hahahaha maybe just maybe 😎Yesss those Brooklyn brownstones really are stunning
Enjoy while you can Taylor. At your age (and if having the money) I would've done the same. City life is great and you seem to be a responsible girly so you will be fine! 😄😊
Honestly sounds like you’ve good your stuff together. Imagine not having roommates though. Must have to make a mint to live in New York
Imagine my excitement when I thought there was a chance of you moving to London!
I’m realistic though - it was never going to happen. Well…….not yet 🐢
HA well after how much I loved my time in London, wouldn't be that crazy 🙈
I can hear you just fine despite being windy.
I’m wishing you nothing but the best for your move. Hope it goes well
Your apartment is so gorgeous with those windows. I was wondering, ‘why would she move? ‘ Glad to hear your plan.
Where is that park you filmed in with the gorgeous brownstones in the back?!
how do you deal with the actual packing and moving every single year? just thinking about it, gets me so tired! i’ve lived in my NJ studio (10 min bus ride away from manhattan) for 5 years.
is it still worth it to live there with how expensive everything is?
Nowhere else I’d rather be right now
So yes, absolutely! To me anyway

Would you be interested in doing a video about buying an apartment in NYC?
Continued success to a fav creator ♥️🌹♥️🌹♥️🌹♥️
aw thank you!!!
Taylor do you apply BCG’s - Pyramid Principle and the SCQA framework (Situation, Complication, Question, Answer) - to format your videos? LOL
Clickbait at its finest. I suppose Wharton hasn’t taught the scum out of people.
Ali Abdaal makes his Taylor Bell vlog debut thanks to Skillshare
Your current apartment is beautiful Taylor❤️🥰😍😘.
The camera falling over is the same feeling when dropping a phone
** Does the whole vid sitting on the steps of a Brooklyn brownstone.** In advertising we call that a misdirect. Well played.
Taylor wherever u move it will be better place once ur there ....hi from ireland hope ur well
Awesome. Got some valueable information just be by sitting on the couch. I like these informative videos. Thanks ❤
Phew, you scared me for a bit, sure seems you are living in a perfect place! Congrats!
What does “rent stabilized apartment” means?
I don’t know if I missed it, but what neighborhood/area is she living in?
That apartment is awesome! It has everything
$3175 for a portion of an appartment is just crazy. Nearing the point where it's cheaper to commute by helictoper and live in a house by the ocean.
