This video!!! This is the video I was looking for and didn’t even know I was looking for! I always get scared watching some of your videos cause I feel so slow at counting and decision making, that it scares me that if I don’t make em quick I’ll look obvious!
As far as getting over jitters, or being self conscious, as soon as you have the basic system down cold, go and play just basic for a few hours. Even though it isnt counting, you are still needing to focus on the game and cards, and that experience will ease you into counting a little bit. But I find that person who have an all-eyes-are-on-me feeling, they still somewhere deep down believe they are getting away with something, or doing something a little shady. Card counting is legal, ethical, and moral. No different than asking for an upgrade, asking for a discount, waiting for prices to drop, or waiting for a holiday to go shopping for that big ticket item. And...card counting makes casinos money, from all the amateurs who try it.
Colin, The problem I have with a longer wait is, assuming there are no other players at the table, it does cut down on E.V. This is especially true with a fast dealer. I think one way to make the PC show a little less interest is if you 'think' for a few seconds if whether or not you're going to split tens, especially against a high card, DD on A,9 vs whatever card, etc.
That's not the point of making a wait. You're not supposed to make everyone wait every time you go out to play, just a few times until you learn to be comfortable being a spectacle. If you're waiting because you need time to make a correct decision, your EV is going to drop down much more by making a bad move, especially if you lose the count. It's worth the seconds. You make the wait to cut down on how much EV you lose, not to do it on purpose.
Long story, but the director got permission to film a casino's operations, then asked Dusty if he would show up at the casino at that exact time. It worked perfectly.
@@plugwalk7448 First, you have to learn basic strategy. It has to be perfect! A bomb could off next to you and you would still know it. Second, there are deviation charts all over the place. However, get them from BJA, WoO, Blackjacktheforum, etc.
Thank you for the video's. My issue is where I live. I only have one casino in my area and I don't drive a car so I can't afford to get backed off and kicked out. So I hopefully will be able to make money at small limits and not giving away anything.
Yeah, if you don't have regular access to casinos, card counting will be tough. I talked about this in this video: ua-cam.com/video/r5jOhTtF6Mg/v-deo.html&lc=UgzSe2xaibKPopyc_wV4AaABAg
That's my concern too. I've been riding the free shuttle..... can they deny me the ride back if they back me off and leave me stranded? That's my big concern.
Gary I thought you raised an important issue so pardon me for responding after a year. Making money with small raises is not profitable. You would be playing a losing game in the long run. You lose money betting minimum waiting for the deck to heat up with the aim to raise it exponentially to get that money back and then some. Since it's been a year I figure you might have discovered this already in practice.
Okay so I have looked everywhere and I’m okay with the running count but I’ve looked in all your videos and none of them say when u take the true count I understand that u divide the running by the estimate but when u decide to do that and then do you continue your running count onto that I’ve looked everywhere please help
Hi Omg Guy, I am still but an acolyte but I believe you calculate the true count shortly before placing your bet. The reason for this is because the true count determines your bet size so each hand you would have to do the math at least once but most likely just once per hand and then go back to the running count.
Hey Colin! With betting variations do you usually wait for it to get to a true 1 and then increase the bet? Also every time the true count goes up do you increase it by 1 betting unit or more then that? Thanks!
Blackjack Apprenticeship one other question for you! On a previous video you said a single deck was only worth playing if they play more then 3 hands before shuffle. Are you talking about a full table playing 3 hands or less people and 3 hands?
What do i do if pitboss is starting at me? And writing notes? And calling/using the phone a lot? I figured she probably caught onto me because i was down $100, put one more $100 into a high limit table $10-$200 and, over two shoots i went up and profited $150, making my whole win $350. I left because i felt like she was just mad at me because she was literally leaning over the table dead eyeing me.
Personally, I would keep playing. Who knows what she's thinking. But if you're not comfortable with it, then leave after the count goes south or they shuffle.
Your videos always make me happy!! Thank you and your friends!!
That's awesome. Glad to hear it!
I have been stalling this table.... For 19 YEARS!!!!
Lol

Why do you guys do card counting no more
Okay so I have looked everywhere and I’m okay with the running count but I’ve looked in all your videos and none of them say when u take the true count I understand that u divide the running by the estimate but when u decide to do that and then do you continue your running count onto that I’ve looked everywhere please help
I meant when do you decide to do that like right before the dealer goes to re shuffle?
As soon as you're done making your true count calculation, you immediately go back to the running count.
Okay but when do you decide to calculate the true count?
Hi Omg Guy, I am still but an acolyte but I believe you calculate the true count shortly before placing your bet. yes u put the running count onto your true count. I've been playing for about 8 yrs and won all up about 300000$ so yes
are you guy's still playing in casinos

It depends on the rules, but generally around a true 1 or 1.5 I raise my bet.
And no, I use much more aggressive bet spreads.
Blackjack Apprenticeship thanks!!

Sounds like you're the best at annoying everyone else trying to have some fun gambling.
