Glad you got the results you wanted and that you're happy with the results of your mods! 6 mpg city LOL - but it sounds like the lowered mpg is a price worth paying for all that extra power. Was curious - is getting a ported cylinder at all part of your future plans? And what time are you going to the Fallbrook Cars and Coffee on Sunday? Also hope you feel better soon and fully get over your cold.

Love your videos been following almost since day one! Just got my first Camaro Wednesday. 2010 1SS with 56K Miles on it and body trim kit,aftermarket exhaust, also Boston stereo.

LethalGarage yup going to try to update it inside and out. put a newer LZ1 front end and of course engine work as well as update the seating inside to look more like a 6th gen...overall going for a dark night Suttle batman/Batmobile aggressive look not comic book look. I wanna black out headlights/taillights and delete all badges with the dark Knight bat symbol badges. 😊

When you have a Tighter LSA on the cam it's louder. Since you have a Boost cam you have a wider LSA it's not gonna chop as hard and be as loud as you think.

Okay, stop with all the good upgrades. My wife is giving me the evil eyes. But seriously, that sound was awesome. This is what I want to do to my 2017 SS. The boss will not let me (wife). :)
Cars running on E-85 gas are generally running about 28-35% less fuel mileage than the same car running on pump 91 octane.
I can see how the car wants to surge forward (can see you bumping forward) ... recommend the converter change ... probably in the range of 2800 (still streetable) ..... and the car sounds sooo much better with the stall (in my opinion)

Hi Matt, Thanks for the ride along with your current awesome upgrades, The Camaro sounds Great and seems to have lots of reserve power, one thing i was surprised about was You using pump 91 octane, here in Michigan i always use pump 93 octane its the same price as pump 91 here just depends on the gas station you go to. or maybe its recommend because of the E85. Thanks again and i do like donuts :))
+Newton Washinton we don't have 93 here in SoCal unfortunetly. 91 is the best we get u less I stay e85 all the time.
Are there any camshafts out there that will idle just like stock and not buck or surge at low speeds? I do not really want more power, I just want to fully get rid of AFM and get a nice loping idle. That is my goal.

E85 and flex fuel is the same and it id 51% to I think 83% ethanol the rest is gas and 91 is just 91 octane gas

you need to bore it out now :) ,my '85 bored out 305 has almost the same effects of that presence and more power but id say the open headers to a 3" magnaflow super 44 gives it a great muscle lope, off the throttle its dead quiet and on the throttle it sounds like a monster truck I've been told. cant wait to cam mine but id have to drop the motor from the '85 astro body/frame which is the only thing holding me back but thats just year one of ownership. my gauges are half assed though, apparently after 300+ miles im still at 3/4 and the speedo doesnt work lol

Looks and sounds great!! how well do the ground effects prevent rock chips from the side of the car? would you say mud flaps a better option?
the ground effects kit isn't really made for that, but I haven't had rock chips yet on the side skirts.

Hi Matt, Ive been enjoying all your videos for a few months now while waiting for my new SS1LE I just got a 3 weeks ago. Its been very fun watching you come along with your car, thank you. I have a question being I lived in northern CA for over 50 years and produce performance parts for motorcycles. How do these engine building and tuning shops in CA, deal with the EPA / CARB, and will you be having trouble getting your car to pass smog to get it registered each year ? I know longer can even take the chance selling a thing to CA residents. I now live in Lyon county Nevada and we do not have smog to deal with, and its so nice for us performance minded tuners and builders. Cheers ... Dale Walker
+Dale Walker my car will not pass smog as it sits. But most performance shops are 'off road' shops only.
Man I wish them all luck as long as they can do it honestly Matt. Its a load of crap that they come after what is a very small market in the scope of things. Off road only will soon not cut it on a vehicle that can be registered on the street in CA. I moved my complete operation and dyno to NV for this reason, but even then I'm still to close to CA. I grew up in Santa Cruz and though beautiful, just could not take it any longer and had to get out of dodge. Your car sounds great, and I'm sure runs strong ........ Cheers DW @ holeshot.com

What did you find out the gas mileage to be? Increase or decrease on pump 91?

So you've done cam, full exhaust and lots of other stuff already. Heard you say you're Procharging mid March which is fast approaching. Have you thought about finishing off the motor package with heads or have you done that already and I missed the video on it?
That's probably down the road. The gains from heads just isn't that much for the cost.
true. most people I know that did cams back in the day always did head/cam packages. just to add heads adds roughly $3k to these cardls so it more than the gen 4 I had.
When I cam the car and want to run e85, would I have to change the injectors and fuel pump?

O ok,, I thought something was wrong with my tune, my motor was shaking at idle at stoplights. This sounds nerdy but my car chops a lot more in neutral so some times at stop lights ill throught it In neutral just to listen.

I have a 2013 Camaro LS3 with factory exhaust manifolds. If I installed long tube headers, I was concerned that my exhaust would be too loud. After listening to Matt, now I am wondering if headers may make for a deeper sound, but not necessarily louder. Anyone had experience installing headers on a stock LS3? Also, has anyone had problems with headers causing a check engine light to come on?

The cam, afm delete and replacing other parts was $5k with the tune. It was a CMS custom cam.

Kinda old video but hopefully you will still reply. Iv had a 2017 Camaro SS for about 8 months. I’m 19 so I wanted to keep the warranty not exactly making bank yet. But I feel like I need more power. So how is the power you get from the cam and headers? Worth voiding my warranty? Maybe 100+ horsepower would be worth to me
+brennan f A NA cam can add 50-80rwhp and headers maybe 15rwhp. Do those and pair it with flexfuel if you have e85 around and you will make some nice power

Hey, I'm going to be buying a go pro tommorow and I have no experience with them my choices are between go pro hero sessions 5 and go pro hero 4 silver. also what mounting hardware do you use for outside of car, I don't want the thing flying off. I mostly just want to record track races and exhaust videos while driving and car shows etc. I only have 50 subscribers but make about a dollar a day which seems worthwhile at this point to keep recording random videos.
+dartangion walker Hero Silver 4 is the best as it has tons of accessories available. My hero 5 is a nightmare to find things for.
+dartangion walker but I use the GoPro suction mount. Haven't had issues, but I know others who have. I think it is Mai lyrics because my paint surface is so smooth, I have no issues
How much did the cam tune cost ?

At this time, I was stage 1. I am now a full stage 3 with converter.

Do you have this garage door issue a lot. If you have LED lights In the garage or near there. Maybe landscape lighting. This has been a issue out there.
