It is actually pure artistic theater play in four acts packed in just 3 min. covered with a fantastically arranged musical matrix around a hypnotic rhythm, which perfectly follows the story told with a vocal that vibrates as part of the music (take attention for all details). Ok, koncept, ali zar ne podseća čitava postavka na obred ili inicijaciju kod npr slobodnih zidara (kontruktora!?). Pogotovo momenat kada ih ona prska (svetom) vodicom. Možda je to tek dadaistički nabacano a možda je i smišljeno, to samo ona i njeni bliski znaju. U svakom slučaju navijam za originalnost
The meaning of the song is very deep: There are several messages:
1. In the time of COVID everybody is brainwashed that they have to do this, that,to stay physically healthy…. And what about mental health after all that?
2. She wears a medical uniform and washes her hands: this is how she describes medical person when someone without a health card comes for treatment ( they wash their hands of that person, it doesn’t exist)
3. People who do not have free health care , and they do not have money , can die freely without a guilty conscience
4. The people around her in back looks to me like rippers, just waiting for those who can’t afford treatment or they could be priests cause there is only left to pray when u can’t afford the treatment or health insurance
5. The general opinion that one must be beautiful, and in order to be beautiful one must be physically healthy. No once cares about mental health anymore, which is also important
6. She is also like a fortune teller looking at her hands trying to figure out why she is sick and what symptoms does she have cuz she can’t afford health care insurance
7. Artists in Serbia don’t have Heath care insurance and her friend died of cancer because of that
8. Obsession with a healthy body while the mind is desperate sick sad and frightened

Ovde se ne radi samo o covidu, knjižici, zdravstvu, ili umetnosti. Dovoljno je primetiti da se većina reakcija komentatora svode na ne razumevanje performansa ocekujući vizuelni efekat golotinje koji će zadovoljiti oči, ili bum u nekom delu muzike da im zapara uši. Većina onih koji su komentarisali pesmu nisu se potrudili ni uključiti CC da bi bar pročitali tekst. Ovo govori o čiljenici da se svestan razum ljudi toliko ulenjio da svo razumevanje i zadovoljstva traže na gotovo. Niko ne razmišlja, samo kopiraju jedne druge Svima reakcija tipa : haha zašto pere ruke, može li neko reći. A i oni sami mole Boga i peru ruke da bi ostali zdravi, jer svi znamo koliko je skupo lečenje po inostranstvu, pa čak i obična popravka zuba. I just read that it's an interpretation of Marina Abramović's performance piece "Art is beautiful, the artist must be beautiful". Apparently, Marina was obsessively brushing her hair in that piece, to put focus on the fact how female artists are burdened by the expectations of being beautiful of they expect their art to be noticed.
It really makes sense to me that this performance has Marina's piece as inspiration.

I think the biggest inspiration for the song is in the way how unprotected and unsecured, from medical institutions point of view, artists are - in Serbia, but in many other countries as well. Especially during pandemic this was an incredible risky period as beside not having the same rights as many other professionals, artists also couldn't earn their livelihood which put them in even greater danger.
Since in Serbia it's not only artists that are neglected by the system, but many other professions as well, this song is especially dedicated to all of them. But I guess that even wider audience can relate to it, especially those who feel how we are taking care only about physical aspects of us and neglecting mental and soulful side of us humans, which is why the song is so powerful.

Milane, potrebu da kopiram tuđe reči ne osetim. Komentar je moj doživljaj reči, kao i onoga što poznajem preko ljudi u svom okruženju. Konstrakta sama je davala objašnjena nekih aspekata svojih reči, pa ih izvoli pronaći i tumačiti onako kako ih ti čuješ i osetiš.
A predrasude bi verovatno bilo bolje da ostaviš, jer te očigledno dovode do toga da se sramotiš tako što lažno napadaš ljude.

The very title of the song "In corpore sano" has a historical background. Namely, it is a part of the Latin proverb "Mens sana in corpore sano" which means "In a healthy body a healthy spirit". It is believed that it was first used by the Roman satirist Juvenal, i.e. that this is an abbreviated form of his saying: "Orandum est ut sit mens sana in corpore sano", ie "One should pray for a healthy spirit in a healthy body". Dragana Djorovic: The artist must be healthy - is a review of the famous performance of Marina Abramović - "Art must be beautiful, the artist must be beautiful" where she aggressively combs her hair while saying these words again.

It's not necesarilly conected to covid, it's about exhausting and stressfull race for health in this era. And about many things as well (shallowness of instant net photos and posts, position of artist...). This song really can't be listened without (good) translation.
In corpore sano (in a healthy body) is a song that will represent Serbia at the Eurovision Song Contest 2022 in Turin, Italy. The music was written by Ana Đurić and Milovan Bošković, and the lyrics by Ana Đurić, who performs under the pseudonym Konstrakta. In corpore sano is an excerpt from the saying - men sana In corpore sano, which means healthy spirit in a healthy body, a verse written by the Roman poet Juvenal, born around the sixties of the new era. And this saying is taken from the verse which reads in its entirety - one should pray for a healthy spirit in a healthy body, ie "orandum est ut sit mens sana in corpore sano".
In this original song, at the beginning there is a conditional and at the end the main title - "What are we going to do now?", What are we going to do now if we have a healthy body and a sick spirit, because we are not in healthy but sick times.
The essence of Ana Đurić's text is the question - what if we are healthy if our mind is sick? She expresses it in the words - "the body is healthy and what will we do now, a weak mind in a healthy body, a sad soul in a healthy body, a desperate mind in a healthy body, a frightened mind in a healthy body" ... rhythm, Ana actually lets out a howl of despair of a modern man who promotes at all costs a healthy body, physics, matter, supplements, drugs, vaccines and constant hand washing, without anyone caring about the spirit that is sick due to the influence of propaganda, forcing false values for the purpose of general deafening. Humanity is healthy, but the spirit of the times is sick - weak, sad, desperate and scared.
I read and listened to many comments that explained why this song won. I also voted for her for several reasons, and here are the main ones.
It is important to say that I have been following Eurovision regularly since 1962, for a full 60 years. Although there were several misses, almost all the winning songs of that international competition deserved it with their quality, which was confirmed by the court of time.
In the great competition, the song by Ana Đurić and Milovan Bošković was a real refreshment, because it exuded sincerity. This is definitely something completely different and new, especially for a parade like the Eurovision Song Contest. Serbian Laurie Anderson is a surprise for Serbia as well. And just imagine all those bearers of kitsch performance, who have no way of understanding what this is all about and how it is that scantily clad, shepherdesses or mentally altered drug addicts did not win the national competition. What is a problem is that it requires a certain level of understanding of the avant-garde and different approach, not to music, but to art. On the other hand, as a favorite, you have the Ukrainian "song", which was actually determined to go to the competition, because the winner gave up for political reasons. If we are talking about the Eurovision song contest, I would not have any chances, but if we are talking about the trendy showing of sympathy for the tragedy of Ukraine, it is something completely different. Art should be healthy ... and I'm afraid washing your hands won't help it.
