Thank you guys so much for your due diligence. My husband has mobility issues due to his MS, so excursions like this are kind of out of the question when we eventually take our first cruise. But it is much appreciated for you guys to think of the people who can’t get around that easily. Y’all are so thoughtful.

I’ve been to the baths six times. It is absolutely beautiful. I enjoyed hiking and exercising. I’ve always used a catamaran to come in. I have never used a tour guide and I never will. If you have never been, it’s an amazing experience.
This is why I watch you guys. You take the hits for us and we reap the knowledge.
I hope Disney sees this and goes with a different excursion company!!

Being from virgin gorda This hurt me to watch because as the owner of a Destination Management Company on virgin gorda who handles and book Island tours and excursions throughout the entire bvi this is NOT how this is suppose to be ever. There are also many other beaches to visit that can be apart of a tour that are just as beautiful.

I remember doing that walk to the Baths several years ago. I enjoyed mainly for the photos we took at the end. Plus, knowing that's where Tyra Banks did one of her most famous shoots.

I can’t lie: this looks fun to me. But you definitely need to be ready hike, climb, and crawl. Looking forward to visiting this port in a few months on a Celebrity cruise.

It is a great tour and as suggested, a chillax approach is much better.
That happened to me on an excursion to St. John on the Celebrity Equinox in August. We only had 45 minutes on the beach instead of the 2 hours advertised. They rushed us back to the ferry early to pick up a second group to go to beach on St. John. I did report it to the excursion desk, along with others on the tour. I did Cane Garden beach on Tortolla the next day. It is beautiful. Thanks for warning folks about excursions.

Hi guys, great video, we had the exact same experience on our Celebrity Cruises trip to Virgin Gorda - the baths. Time was far too short and we rushed to the stunning beaches and made our way through the baths. So yes, a four hour tour is far from relaxing and you won't be able to enjoy your time in the stunning surroundings.
They! I hope this video saves some people the time and money. It’s so beautiful but the excursion needs to be much longer

I appreciate this video. We're considering this same cruise again with DCL, having done it in 2018. We had more time in Devil's Bay...15 minutes. LOL! Our group took about 20-25 minutes from point to point each time. No way could a group traverse any part of the trail in 7 minutes. That's so ridiculous. It is a beautiful area, but you're right! A half day/4 hour excursion isn't long enough to enjoy both beaches when you factor in the travel time from the port and back and between the beaches. You did good taking a taxi to a beach. May consider doing the same thing instead of the excursion. Thanks!

This Reminds me why I don’t do cruises anymore. It’s too restrictive. I went to Puerto Rico this year and it was so much fun. Everytime I see one of these videos for alternative vacation ideas.. I always find myself going back to PR..feel there is so much more freedom there and secluded paradises..

Sorry to hear your excursion was so short on time. I went on this excursion in 2019 on Celebrity Equinox. I was able to spend about 45 minutes at each beach. But the downside, was there were probably about a 100 to 150 people. I was lucky enough to be at the front of the line so I got to the 2nd beach and got a nice spot under a tree and hung out with some really cool people that I met as this was a solo cruise. I wonder if they sliced it in half to try to have better crowd control.
Yea well ours was sliced in half but it was not good lol
glad I just watched this video. We're on the 4/29 Fantasy sailing and the Virgin Gorda excursions are sold out. Maybe that's a good thing? I'm going to look into doing it on our own.

Not being rushed thru it is ideal, you should have a good time. There is a restaurant up there if you wanted to get some food before or after you walk down to the beach area.

Sooooo it normally took locals 7 minutes to get down, if you are with a groups definitely it’s more lol with Disney there are different excursions in one day! He should’ve explain that the time will cut short due to other excursions would be coming in and he won’t want Yll get stuck in the cave smh. It’s a nice place to be thanks for coming though
And this is a group excursion so saying 7 mins then saying 45-50 mins each beach was definitely not realistic. It was such a beautiful place, I wouldn’t mind returning and taking out time to enjoy it.

I really appreciate you guys honesty. All the climbing is way to much for these 50 year old knees and hips. But the girls was hopping those rock like G's. I knew something was wrong with the guide when he said if you slip don't reach/grab because it may be a Cactus. Its not what he said but how he said it. Like reaching when falling is a natural response. Excellent video!

HELLO FAMILY! "WOW" that was much needed information for a lot of people with disabilities and small children. I was like what in the world is going on here! :( But the beach made the day a good one. So glad the girls got a chance to enjoy the beach. MAMA BROOKS! :)

Would you recommend that over a safari van tour of Tortola if you’ve never been to the Caribbean/ Tortola before? Trying to decide because i want to see the island but also want to see the baths.
I would do a longer tour of the baths, it’s really a great experience if not rushed

I’ve never taken an excursion since I live here, but they seemed to really embellish the amount of time would be spent on each portion, which I’m unsure if it’s because they double booked or if it was because they timed it based on how long locals typically take to get up and down these paths. Hopefully y’all come back another time and have a better time, and let our little islands have a redemption arc. Also, just a final note, it’s pronounced Tor-toe-la 😭

Thanks for the upload. After watching we decided to just go solo without a tour. Would you guys recommend wearing shoes through the baths or would barefoot be fine? I've read different forums and got a million different answers. Some say barefoot is better, some suggest reef sandals, others water shoes, and lastly I heard boat shoes are the best. Any advice?

I don’t understand why Disney did not send some one randomly to check the quality of that excursion. It makes me think a little harder to spend my hard coins on a Disney cruise 🚢. When so many are out there.

It’s really beautiful just needed a slower paced tour
The key to the baths is to go an a sailboat, not a cruiseship, and dont go on a tour with a guide.

Yes heard that is popular. On our sailing there were multiple complaints about that excursion too tho.
Well I’m not sure of the providers but I’m actually from Jost van Dyke my dad has one of the top ratings he does private charters and also is the property manager of the glass house and escape villa on the island. I do apologize for your experience I hope you have a great time next time I actually saw ur post on Facebook a family member posed it and I was like omg not my favorite cruise family.
@@jesseilachinnery3105 I think it’s a few isolated tours. From what I read about the other excursion, they were complaining it was rushed and the guides were not so friendly. I will be returning so will definitely add this to the list of things to do

Remember timing with cruise is very much important...they will be rushing you back and forth
However that kinda service is not acceptable...
However ill share this video with the local tourists department for on update in that area of touring and customer service..

Thanks so much for keeping everyone away. I go to the Baths every year as part of our Virgin Gorda vacation, but wish less seagulls (cruise people) were there. And why Disney did not explain the shoe requirements before you left is frankly negligent on their part. But after 25 years, your experience about sums it up. Don't come in from the land side, do not have have physical issues, do have good climbing shoes, but remember this is not the USA so if hurt it's you're fault (no lawyer to your rescue).

The beaches are called devils bay and the baths
It looks way too crowded to enjoy. I think if you do this by yourself there wouldn’t be so many people and you could control the timing of everything.

Did you report this to Guests Services or the Shore Excursion desk onboard the ship? DCL takes this type of stuff seriously and it will be addressed if you reported it to the Cast Members onboard. If you didn't, then I respectfully request that you contact DCL now and report this.

I would have been very upset. First off the relaxing time was less than the work it took to get to it. Also I’ve broken both ankles. No way i could have done that.
