Don't know if this was already commented on one of the other episodes, but the advantage of the other cash register is that it can have a longer queue, so more people can wait to be served without getting impatient (may be the source of some of your unsatisfied customers)
I think I saw the customers looking at the mannequins from inside the shop, plus I saw on Steam images of the mannequins facing inside the shop, I think they look at it and want to buy from that, so the stands are prolly for them

I think with the stand...you can stage multiple mannequins around it in the middle of the store. preferable the standing ones...
