PythonSelkanHD, I accept an idea that Gray Fox can be Venom Snake. But. Who is the guy we resqued in MG, and with whom we fight in MG 2? Why when we see Gray Fox's face, we recognize him as Frenk Jager, not as Big Boss? After all, in theory, they should be very similar? Or we don't recognize him without his beard and an eye patch?
The "Eyes on Kazuhira" refers to the incident in which Miller was found using some of that DD funds to run his burger chains and the chemical burger research in which Code Talker was involved.

Venom Snake can't be Grey Fox, simply, because it was Venom Snake who died in MG1! And Grey Fox was POW in that game.

Royal Knight Cipher made multiple big boss's and venom allied with big boss and became cyborg ninja to not be big boss anymore but the fake big boss made by cipher is the big boss in original metal gear and he gets captured trying to take him out for original big boss. Jk. I don't even know. This game is crazy af.
Man of Glass This is a cool thought! Except, the time-line clearly states that the Phantom Big Boss (Venom Snake) was killed by Solid Snake in MG1.
If Gray Fox is the best they he wouldn't need translators for interperting different languages, but Vennom Snake only knows American English from what I know.
zero visited bigboss and venom, while they were visually protected by bandages on their faces. that is why zero could not recognize them.

@Ornate Orator no it's a developer mistake. they wanted Snake to ride off on his bike into the sunset (which explains the time of day inconsistency) and 48 hours is most certainly not enough to heal plastic surgery of one's entire face/front of skull.
I would find that argument compelling if the doctor didn't also say "We... did just as you instructed".
This wouldn't even really make sense why did they had bandages 2 years after the incident and after being moved at least 1 time

Good work Python, please reply to this when you get the chance, after playing every metal gear head to toe, I have been doing just as much digging as you, the secret lies with ground zeroes, where is snake bandana? why is chico scared when he comes to the cage? why when you hold up the soldiers they ask 'are you a phantom? why in TPP when you first see Huey do they say 'his been in contact with Big Boss, why in the trailer 'were not your people' do you see snake with blood all over in the helicopter what looks like he made it out after msf was destroyed, in the ending of gz when skullface is talking to paz asking where Zero is, that is part of the 'Truth tapes', but isnt all the truth tape lies? because Big boss and ocelot talk about his bodyguard and that its a hell of a lie though Ishmeal never even existed? so the truth tapes are a lie, WHICH means, ground zeroes seeps into a lie as well.
Don't expect DS to release until 2019 though.

i have a theory. What if we ARE Grey Fox? Remember by the end of the game we are a bot of an asshole.Smearing ash over our skin, stealing the Metal Gear away and keeping the nuke as a deterent. We interpet Bog Bosses will differently. What if, as V (or 5), we pissed off the real Big Boss and he sent his actual dopple ganger after us, imprisoning us in Zanzibar Land. Then years later FOXHOUND sends out Big Bosses clone Snake, lead by the REAL Big Boss. Snake *kills* big boss (the copy) at Outer Heaven. Then years later goes to Zanzibar land and kills the real Big Boss and Grey Fox (Venom Snake - V - the big boss of MGV) and V became the Cyborg Ninja. 2+2 = 5. 3 Big Bosses, Solid Snake AND a Liquid Snake.

of MSF in 1975 by shielding him from an oncoming explosion, losing his

Kojima did say that Big Boss was in coma only one time. That alone makes no sense unless there are two phantoms in cyprus Hospital and naked snake in Colombia Hospital. Lol
Solidus Big Boss isn't there a trailer which states " two phantoms are born"
While many of these are good points, there are some things that I can't help but question. When Zero mentioned it wasn't safe to move them, there's a good chance that world events may have lead to snake becoming a target, possibly someone leaked information that he hadn't died. If the awakening was in 1984 and he was in a coma for 9 years following the incident it could be assumed that they were transported immediately with discretion. It's a good point to bring up, but after some thought there are potential reasons as to why they would not wish to move Big Boss.
Moving to the noise in the background where the door had slid open, there are a few things that can be questioned. It is clear that the sound are that of people, but with what little that can be heard we cannot say that it is children. Furthermore if the sound was only heard when the door opened, it would imply the sound came from outside the door and not the building. it's very likely that these were a group of doctors in the hallway who may have been there to speak to Zero, check up on Big Boss and the double, or it may have been busy that day and so it was loud and active outside. Also since this is a hospital there is a likelihood that Big Boss and the double were kept in a more advanced room in case something may have gone wrong so they would have the equipment on hand to bring them back, so an electronic door in one of the more advanced rooms would not be absurd, although questionable.
The facial surgery carried out on Venom snake wasn't carried out until after his awakening, you are correct. But when Zero asked the question "Which one is he?", I thought back to the opening scene where there were curtains enveloping the area around Big Boss and the double. It could be that these curtains were drawn to hide the identities of those inside to keep away prying eyes. If the curtains were open there is a good chance that the amount of heavy bandaging on the faces of both patients made it difficult to tell the difference between them, especially since their bodies would look relatively similar to even be able to to look alike after a cosmetic surgery.
It's several things I had been thinking about and there are many possible answers to the questions you are posing.

I see no point into this video. Everything was already proven in a cast of10+ years.1.Venom Snake is NOT Gray Fox. Venom Snake was made up to answer the long question of why we blew up Big Boss in MG1, and he returns in MG2, THATS IT. How can two different people be in two different locations at the same time? Frank was a prisoner, Venom was orchestrating MG, Outer Heaven. The real Big Boss founded Zanzibar Land, MG2.2.Miller knew everything from the beginning. The only reason I believe Code Talker told Venom Snake about Miller was because Miller was the ONLY one that knew at the time and still decided to play his role. Ocelot was too into his hypnosis to know anything yet. Again, 2 + 2 = 5.3. Since Miller knew that the real Big Boss basically gave him the verbal finger, and said "I'm going to start Zanzibar Land without you, sorry no hard feelings.", indirectly. Miller decided to support the fake Big Boss (Venom Snake), and bring up David (Solid Snake) to fight the Patriots. Meanwhile Ocelot agreed for the contrary, support the real Big Boss, (Because he was his role model), and support the rejected son, Eli (Liquid Snake, while at the same time also fight against the Patriots for Big Boss.The series is OVER. Its already 360. No plot holes, with the exception of the unfinished E51, which I have in collectors edition. There for the this video is partially false.

That's why they used Gray Fox. There was a reason why he was chosen for it after Zanzibar. He was kind of left as Anakin from SW E3, half man, still alive, minefield fight. Story wise you know how Gray Fox starts, he was a patsy then a pawn by Ocelot & Eva, she confirmed it and that was that. Clark was a Patriot founder.

I call that story plot filler. Which ever the team was in charge of the games story plot line screwed up. When I first played/heard that I figured its just said to keep the characters origins at line, although they did screw up I small enough to think of it. Like Gray Fox, you know how she started, you know how she ended. That served its purpose, that's why 90% of the story devs don't like answering questions lol.
Solid fought Big Boss which served the patriots; he didn't really fight the Patriots till MGS2 and 4 and even in those he was doing things the patriots wanted him to do.
This is my theory, it's not too organized at the moment but here it goes: Big Boss and Venom are the same person.
Punished "Venom" Snake is the symbolic representation of Big Boss' revenge. Skull Face and Kaz both speak of how men can become "demons" due to their thirst for revenge, and how revenge can keep the dead alive. The scene where Kaz and Venom are killing Skullface with his shotgun, they show "flashback" type scenes of Big Boss in his hospital outfit, with no shrapnel in his head, and Kaz before he was tortured. That scene alone confirms Venom IS Big Boss, and the shrapnel is symbolic for his revenge. Kaz and BB are basically "demons" by the time of killing Skullface, and their appearance I believe is entirely symbolic and that Venom is all just a symbolic representation of the "demon" Big Boss had become. "Kaz, I'm already a demon". I think Ishmael wasn't actually a tangible character but was instead the symbolic representation of the "Real" Big Boss (Jack, Naked Snake), and when they get in the car accident escaping the hospital, the symbolic "Real" big boss officially died and "Venom" was born. So I believe they are the same character, and "Venom" is merely the man Big Boss became after his coma. I believe only the player can see Big Boss' "Demon" or "Venom" form, when in reality he just appears as BB to everyone else, including Motherbase and Skullface (Skullface addresses him as Big Boss, and the "Big Boss is watching you" posters from late in the game don't display BB with his shrapnel or "horn".)

I have to say I truly appreciate how you guys still persevere because there definitely seems to be many more questions than answers. There really is no harm in trying to put together a fan theory that we can all enjoy with your remarkable research,compiling and editorial skills. I don't understand why many people just move to dismiss your theories so easily. Even if sometimes some points may feel like a stretch, is any harm being done at all? I used to wonder what were the sounds in the massacre corridor in mgs 1, it was totally surprising that it had sense. But what do they actually mean? Any clues?
Gregory Fox.. it probably has more explanations than one... and could bring more questions than answers... then again, these are my thoughts:
1. the philosophers are still in control, not cypher, not the AI, not the patriots (from ocelot to sunny, all recite train stations)
2. the patriots adopted methods of the philosophers
3. all the characters in MGS are under some mind-control and psycho-programing or hypnotism... all puppets of patriots/philosophers and that they are just playing the part intended for them
4. once the host is beginning to realize the truth, or is in some drug, the brain responds by reciting the train stations---possibly to return to the frame of mind intended by the patriots

I was here for the first 5 minutes of the video because I am somewhat busy. Yet I ended up watching the whole video. The same happened when I watched the "Death Stranding is P.T." video. I still haven't managed to watch the predecessor of this video here because of it's length, but be sure this comes next. Can't wait for your next Death Stranding video. All this time I thought the "eyes on Kazuhira" quote was just something they neglected to explore further, but if we consider that he literally meant EYES on Kazuhira, the line could take new significance... Looking forward to the Death Stranding Analysis!
Hypothetically, what if Dr. Clark is Para-Medics colleague or husband, and that she was seemingly killed but brought back via endoskeleton like Gray Fox?
She could also be responsible for Raiden being a cyborg.
If anything, before MGS4 event, after Raiden was saved by Eva, he was given a treatment by Dr. Madner, thought to have died by Solid in Zanzibar, lived through cybernetics. Dr. Madner is without a doubt competitive against Dr. Clark.
Dr. Clark is Cyborg Raiden's main antagonist for Metal Gear Solid: Rising (not to be confused for Metal Gear Rising).
To answer the question why he thought it was dangerous to move them out of Cyprus, that was not an inconsistency. Moving them a second time would greatly increase the risk of them being found out. It made sense not to move them a second time.
I think the lens flare effect happens when Ishmael, Venom's hypnogogic programming manifestation based on a "random" patient in the hospital, is activated. Similarly to how the name of the Patriots is La Li Lu Le Lo, Venom is also Ahab.
One of my silly ideas is that Venom Snake could be the father of Gray Fox. It fits within the years around the time line, plus it would be a reason as to why Medic joined Big Boss in the first place (MSF). Medic wants revenge on the people that destroyed his home/training base where he was living with this son, Frank. Later after the collapse of Mother base, being in the 9 year coma + hypnotherapy + repressed trauma, Medic forgets he had a son. Or, excepts that he is dead while trying to build a new family on Outer Heaven.
Damn, amazing video! the attention to detail and edit is wow, this cleared up a lot of things, after I finished MGS5 I read that you dont even play big boss but venom snake this whole time... what a twist

In other words, in MGS2 Raiden (in 3rd person) was manipulated and listened what the patriots wanted to believe, according to President Johnson and Solid Snake. In MGSV, Venom Snake (in 1st person) was manipulated by the real Big Boss. And US, the player, are led to believe that some of the stuff from the timeline or what was in the 3+hour video was true. The players (in 1st person) are experiencing what Raiden goes through with huge effect compared to MGS2, when it was all in 3rd person.

the reason as to why venom has a "bright" right is is due to the fact of how the shrapnel destroyed his right eye's vision and also how it affect his optical nerves
and also Miller is photosensitive which is why he appears blind

holy shit this blew my mind. i understand that there may be some things always left up to theory but the thing about the hospital door and the fact that venom didn't get plastic surgery in 1977 (but in 1984) really stand out as fact. bravo guys

Maybe you can find more...We've all just kind of come to terms with the fact that returning to camp omega in TPP is/was cut content, thanks to some rather unceremonious tweets, but over the last few days I noticed a rather glaring detail that shows that not only will we still be "returning to camp omega", but they've been planning it since the beginning.
However the "Return to Camp Omega" isn't necessarily a new mission, or even in The Phantom Pain itself. It is very likely going to be a truth mission within Ground Zeroes, triggered from within The Phantom Pain (possibly even from nuclear disarmament); a retread of the main mission and a mirror of our truth experience in The Phantom Pain.
The truth is small but glaring, and it is in the 2013 reveal trailer itself...Ending of ground zeroes; big boss (no blood on his face) and kaz going to heli and on the heli you can see the Number "794"...After the Explosion (paz) and Credits, in the main menu of ground zeroes you see big boss with blood on his face...In the trailer of 2013 and in the phantom pain ground zeroes flashback, you can see a sequence where big boss looks from the heli with blood on his face just like in the main menu of ground zeroes (After the credits)...you can see the Number "794" on the heli....its seems, the sequence is After the end of ground zeroes but how can big boss fly with the Same heli ("794") when its crash with the heli of XOF just we see at end of ground zeroes?
Now I'm going to have to watch the trailer again. This is a very interesting take, good find.

Heres my theroy : the one at the end of mission 46 is not the real big boss its the clone from 1977 and solid snake he killed this clone not venom snake and like pythonselkan said venom snake is gray fox at the end of ground zeroez you see big boss has scars in his face including his check bone scar you can see that check bone scar in mgs 4 too but at the end of mission 46 at phantom pain there is no check bone scar and at the end of phantom pain you see in the timeline it says solid snake killed the phantom boss not venom snake.

For those who understand the lore if you really pay attention to the info revealed in this video and the one that followed, its not that they are saying venom is frank jager. Venon is the cyborg thru and thru, frank mysteriously vanished and its kinda clear that the moniker they had venom assume was that of frank, who more than likely if you follow the steps are lead to believe is dead or maybe hiding. If the lore points out than venom became the cyborg then its clear than frank himself NEVER BECAME THE CYBORGNINJA. I believe you doubters arent properly receiving the info given to you so i had to state this. Few speculations. The hospital in 'Cyprus' is actually in South Africa...or at least was, it was only ever a clever scene staged to be a place for XOF to be lured into a trap by Zero in order to set the two bosses running away from Skull Face in opposite directions,forcing him to pick one. I don't know what Kojima's original vision for MGSV's story was, but now it all lies in ruins. Kojima and his team were first forced to rush the game leaving plot holes unexplained and then they were thrown out of Konami, now they are working on Death Stranding with Sony, while Konami are developing Metal Gear Survive. It's pointless to analyze MGSV now, let it go. As much as I would have hoped for a patched up Piece Chapter to complete the story, it's a thing of the past now. MGSV could have been a tremendous game, but now it's forever an incomplete game.

Venom as a character was created to cover the plot hole of Big Boss dying in both the original Metal Gear, and MGS4. There's also this cute tidbit in which Solid Snake killed Venom with a crafted flamethrower. Liquid Snake also tries this tactic with molotov's in Venoms encounter. Venom loses his first life in the explosion. His second years later in the flames caused by another of Big Bosses Memes.

I'm kinda newish to PythonSelkan's theories. They all mostly seem like really big stretches to me, but some of the details are interesting at the least and do show strong attention to detail.
One thing I was wondering about, is if you've ever, in your Venom=Gray Fox theory, addressed how MG1 would work if Venom is Gray Fox?
Because at the beginning of that game, your job is to rescue Fox, and at the end, the "Big Boss" you fight is Venom.
MGS5 explained how Big Boss was in two places at once, in Outer Heaven trying to kill you, and back at base giving you orders.
This Gray Fox theory kinda makes MG1 confusing and impossible again.

Someone may have already pointed it out, but in the Japanese version, the original audio, the doctor talking to Zero, is dubbed by the same voice actor as in Dhekelia, Hochu Otsuka. So it must be Dhekelia where Zero visited to see Snake.
Besides, the line translated as "Eyes on Kazuhira" in the English version is "カズヒラに気を許すな（Don't let Kazuhira get to you.)" in the Japanese version. There is no mention of "eyes" in the Japanese version. If Kojima intended the line, "カズヒラに気を許すな（Don't let Kazuhira get to you.)" to mean that we should pay attention to Miller's eyes, then the original Japanese version of the line would also have that element.
MGS5 is not the first game where elements from the Japanese version haven't been carried over to the English version. It hard to as that but the dialogues in the English version on which the discussion in this video is based might not be precisely what Kojima intended.
Even if it was, this theory is fascinating.
Do you guys think it's possible that there's some connection between those with eye surgeries/white eyes (including Venom) and the mysterious transmissions/radio's and even the headphones that are removed from Venom at the Military Hospital in Dhekelia? Could they be linked to the "English mating pair" or Skull face's English parasite strain? Could this be why Quiet was really there at the military hospital in Dhekelia under Skull faces command? Or the how and why Skull face even knew about the military hospital in Dhekelia? Aside from his ties with Cipher of course. Is this also why Quiet was really at "Mother Base"? Overseeing the completion of the English strain!? Is this why Skull face only has two capsules of the English strain during the jeep ride with Venom? Or what Skull face means when he says "Very close to you!"? Finally could there be a connection between Miller/His white eyes and Skull faces parasites? A lot of that theory makes sense! The only question would be how Miller got it, did he visit the hospital? I think he had white eyes when we first see him in mission 1.

I have a feeling someone else has pointed this out, but I don't think the white eyes have anything to do with the vocal cord parasites, considering every character who has one is in a some way visually impaired.
With Venom, it's the right eye because of damage to the optic nerve. That eye might just not necessarily see anymore. either way, it gets covered with an eyepatch.
With Code Talker, he's a very old man. In his case, they're cataracts. Instead, he sees utilizing the vocal cord parasites, just like how he subsists without food.
In Miller's case, it's more complex than that. In the tapes from Peace Walker, Miller admits that his mother was a young prostitute and mentions her getting "sick" as he got older before putting her into a hospital. He mentions that "disease took her mind... a disease she'd gotten when she was young and desperate." One major symptom, deterioration of the brain, conforms with the end stages of syphilis... and another symptom of the earlier stages is visual deterioration. It can also be passed from mother to child during birth. I think it could be possible that the disease manifested itself early for him as well, explaining his constant use of sunglasses as well.

I think the "White Eyes" are symbolic of the whole "Blind leading the Blind" thing.
All the characters are blind to what is going on as a whole, but Venom and Big Boss have one non white each so they are still blinded but their knowledge of The Boss and her will/vision of the future opened their eye's but they remained partially blind as to her full will and intentions so one white eye remains
One of the foreign languages is Hungarian. She talks about an occupied phone line and tells random numbers.

Sometimes I feel like you're the reason why Kojima decided to make MGSV so damn confusing. Been making analysis videos like these before the game even came out, nice work mate. Don't think Venom is Gray Fox tho. Gray Fox was a prisoner during MG1 Outer Heaven, and appeared again in MG2 Solid Snake. This would mean that Solid Snake has killed the Phantom twice before, which is inaccurate sadly. Plus where was Naomi during the events of MGSV? Gray Fox found her and raised her in 1979. It's a nice theory with compelling evidence, but there's so much that goes against it.

I wanted to add something to this. At 16:39, while you're pointing out the patients with eye bandages, there's also a patient with a neck brace. All of the infected patients from "Voices" in TPP had neck bandages, it seems.

Wow, that was awesome. I call myself a MGS fan but that was further than I've dug. Cannot believe the Japanese train stations, never noticed it and it dates back to MGS 1. One thing I would like to point out is at 16:16 you mention how we don't know how Venom's eye is white and it could be from the crash. That's where I believe you are wrong (that it happened during the crash) because at 12:51 when we are shown our own face after waking up, you can see that the right eye is not white. This likely means that during his surgery is when either the parasite was inserted, or they simply did something to blind that eye (though I think it was the parasite). Thanks for this video and your research!
Dustin Matos That's a mirror so what you see on your left is actually on your left side. So, this is the left eye which is visible and the right is being hide by bandages.

actually venom snake is the boss you fight last in the first metal gear on msx computer. Gray Fox is a prisoner of war at the time of metal gear 1. you fight him in metal gear 2 before you fight the real big boss.

Kojima's a genius but I was really disappointed with the story in this game. Grey Fox and a young Naomi Hunter should have been involved, and I'd of loved to have had a cutscene at the end with a young Solid Snake infiltrating Outer Heaven, finishing with, kept you waiting huh! In David Hayters voice, then it cuts to the credits with the original theme playing 👌
There are 3 Snakes in MGS The Boss,Solid Snake,Liquid Snake.Solid Snake is the Snake from MGS4,while Liquid Snake is Eli (from MGSV and MGS).Since They Recreated the Medic (Ahab) there's 4 Snakes now in the MGS world.

Can you tell me one thing tho? IN MGSV: Ground Zeroes ending cutscene we see mysterious "delta-one" soldier (you probably know who am I talking about). I see delta sign appearing on many Gray Fox's head depictions (you even used art, where this sign is clearly shown above his eye, in your video). We don't know who is "Delta-One" soldier, we never get an answer and he's only person in MGSV with that symbol on his uniform. Is that just a coinsidence, or maybe that's the phantom we're looking for? "From Fox two phantoms were born."

Hey PythonSelkan great video man...When i watched this I went and watched MGS4 watch the epilogue when Big Boss reveals Zero to Solid Snake... Zero's eye's are white as well.. I heard that TPP was supposed to have 5 chapters.. So I am still trying to wrap my head around Gray Fox and Venom Snake being the same guy. Unless there was another person with Big Boss's memories and Venom tears his face off to reveal his old face the one we created and reveal his name to be Frank Jager. Hopefully the 30th anniversary of Metal Gear Konami does something good for us. The Moby Dick story was completed at a later date maybe the Phantom Pain will be too.
there's actually three main Big Bosses. Naked Snake (Jack) was at Cypher. Venom Snake and Ishmael (the guy we are led to believe is the real Big Boss) are at the hospital at the beginning of MGSV. Venom Snake is Gray Fox, Ishmael is the doctor. And Big Boss is of course Big Boss. It would explain how you kill off two Big Bosses yet one survives. Think about it. Since the beginning of the game the devs shoved the double Big Boss plot line up your ass. With the beginning game doctor blatantly saying "this is who you used to be". But if their we're three Big Bosses then that would be the hidden plot. We can't know which of the Big Bosses died in MG1 & 2. But we can assume that it wasn't Jack that died. Jack dies at the end of MGS4. If my theory is true then this would be the ultimate twist.
It would make since as well. A phantom in the name makes you believe it's a shadow, something you leave behind. But what if it meant ghost, which is what Solid Snake thought Gray Fox was. There was a reason they never showed Gray Fox's face, because he is Big Boss.
MGS4 Big Boss himself told Old Snake "You erased me two times before. Today will mark the third." When MGS4 said "TWO times before" he was clearly talking about both Solid Snake defeating him twice before in MG1 and MG2. Out of all the lies that MGSV has, don't you think that the ending timeline could be a lie too? Think about it. Does what MGS4 Big Boss say REALLY make sense if it wasn't even him at the end of MG1? Come on.

and the parasite in venom theory i think is spot on, it makes more sense, while the real big boss was in a real coma they did surgery and probably infected him with the parasite virus to help shape him into big boss and probably to help him live to due to his injuries, then when big boss woke up they played the music to wake up venom
Skull face commented on Zero's method of hiding something like "Hiding needle in a Haystack". Considering Zero HID himself with similar method so as not to create suspicion of hiding. SO chances are your hypothesis is true.......
