- In this video, we take on the ambitious challenge of transforming a 1/24 scale diecast Tesla CyberTruck with a heavy metal body and full interior into a fully functional, hobby-grade RC crawler. With a metal body weighing 380 grams, this build isn’t your typical RC conversion! Our goal is to achieve an efficient crawler with the right balance between slow crawling ability and Tesla-like speed. Will we overcome the challenges of weight, drivetrain, and appearance? This is just the beginning with our CyberTruck 1.0 build, paving the way for an even more refined version 2.0.
Watch as we modify the Hobby Plus CR18 chassis, fit high-speed motors, and customize the gearbox to make this unique crawler as capable as possible. This build was full of surprises, from cutting through the donor chassis with basic tools to adapting parts to achieve both performance and scale aesthetics. Will we achieve all our objectives? Tune in to find out!
Don't forget to follow our journey for the upcoming CyberTruck 2.0, which will be a true crawling beast!

Useful tip: you can buy neodymium magnets for 130 motors, which will increase the torque significantly.
I have limited knowledge of electricity but I will remember this advice.
When labeling the bearing size, firstly you give it's biggest diameter, then inner diameter and then the width.
Lol... yes, I need to improve my editing skills!
Before removing the pinion, heat it up in the case it's glued to the shaft.
yes, I have often tried to heat the pine nut before extracting it but it never worked for me!
@@MicroMotorMadness cause you need to heat it up quite a bit.
@ I will try it next time!
If pin doesn't stand in place, super glue it.
Yes, i did but it doesn't last long!
What's your favourite scale of RC cars?
I like 1/10 scale, but I live in a big city, I don't have much outdoor place to crawl. So I start with 1/24 scales and now I prefer more the 1/18 because I find them versatile you can use them both indoor and outdoor especially with the new releases with the 2 speed gearbox!
@@MicroMotorMadness I also like 1/18.
