This is a YEGardensuite in Edmonton Alberta. Built for a lovely couple who were looking to downsize their home and transition to a place where they could be close to family, Grand kids, and live the "Suite Life".

It's actually an answer to a prayer -- this is the song my dad sends me every once in a while, when I'm searching for answers --> AND, I'm building an apartment in the unfinished space above our garage; you're video is a wonderful inspiration! I think I may even take some space from the ground floor garage -- maybe for a washer & dryer, and a full bath ... I'm finally excited for a project I've been afraid to take on! small nitpick, there is a vent on that bench where u sit and put your shoes on, if u leave ur shoes there wouldn't that blow your stank foot stench throughout the house? anyway.. love the house, what's the sq footage?

interesting observation for sure. As you can expect heating and cooling in these units is pretty tight. Look at it this way this will dry your foot stink. LOL! These units in our Municipality have been allowed now to get bigger than when we built this home you can be up to 545 sq.ft on the second floor and overall footage can be up to 1400 sq.ft depending on the site and a few other variables.

Hey Timothy shoot me an email to [e-mail] and I can fix you up with some plans. I am pretty certain the building codes are quite different in Virginia and your weather is certainly better. But I should be able to help you out with something to get started with.
