I grew up playing Virtua fighter and Mortal Kombat and honestly I think we’re just at the point we need to support all these fighting games! I love how they’re all unique from each other
Thanks for the video. It flowed really well. The game has been part of my life since 93. The best way to describe VF series is chess with martial arts animation. Takes a tremendous amount of skill. Transcends video games into the realm of sports. That's why players have continually played it for decades.
LOVE this video man. VF is bar none my favorite 3-D fighting game and one of my favorite fighting games period. I absolutely love the series, saw VF1 in a movie theatre lobby as an 8 year old kid in 1994 and i've been hooked ever since. Been having a ton of fun with VF5 US. I'm really hoping we get a VF6 sometime soon.
The quality of VF is just superior. Play VF for 2 weeks without playing tekken, then when you go back to tekken, you'll see how cheap it is. I noticed it when vf4 came out, then tekken 4 a couple months after. Played tekken 4 for about an hour, then parked it forever.
For sure. I just popped in T7 the other day after being on VF5 pretty much exclusively since it came out. After the second match of getting juggled for 80% of my lifebar I bounced. Sure, it takes skill to pull off those juggles and it's hype for spectators but just not fun to play against. Sure you can pull off some crazy juggles in VF but there comes a point where the combo is over and you get to play again. Getting hit isn't a death sentence.
@@MrWolf120 Well, VF wall combos can be extremely deadly too but if you get hit you actually deserve to get hit LOL And Jeffry’s Splash Mountain move has crazy damage but it’s a mid-just frame-hit-confirm-grab so the damage is definitely earned. I also LOVE the fact that you and your opponent must be aware of where you are on the map at all times.
One thing VF have over Tekken is the block button and it’s limited movement. There’s no such thing as blocking and moving at the same time. Therefore, counter hits and punishments are EARNED not random, not dependent on button mashing, and not reliant on silly concepts like Korean back dashing.
There is definitely a such thing as blocking and moving at the same time. It happens in real life. VF DIED for 11yrs and nobody cared and as of now,it went back to being stale after the nostalgia wore off.
My only gripe is that the costumes from Final Showdown are in the game yet. Hoping that they return in a update. Also, I would love for them to bring in new modes and a guest character. Overall, the game looks and plays good.
Imagine releasing a game in 2012 and it’s still better than what’s on the market today. I grew up with Tekken, play DoA 5 LR, and seeing where they went as franchises encouraged me to pick Virtua Fighter 5 Final Showdown back up and I am very glad I did, I understand the game much more and the customization options are a breath of fresh air in this day and age.
Look to the future virtua players ! What we REALLY need is gameplay updates (balanced, new moves, and let's say 2 new characters). VF6 won't be release (if it comes out of course) at best before 2023 so this US has to hold the transition. I would be very upset if the only updates will be just cosmetic or nolastalgic contents...
A new character named Takeru Ryoshouji, a 22 year old college student is a Full Contact Karate master. His alignment is good, but his style is different from Jean Kujo.
I would add a bottom row of 10 new fighters on top of our current Roster: - Lau Chan’s mysterious son, a Fu Jow Pai (Tiger Claw) practitioner - A Filipino 🇵🇭 Arnis fighter (F) - A Krav Maga expert from Latvia 🇱🇻 (F) - An Indian 🇮🇳 Kalaripayattu fighter (M) - A Bokh wrestler from Mongolia 🇲🇳 (M) - A Viking Glima wrestler from Iceland 🇮🇸 (M) - A Bolivian 🇧🇴 Tinku brawler (M) - A South Korean 🇰🇷 assassin, a practitioner of Hapkido (F) - A Mau rākau Haka warrior from New Zealand 🇳🇿 (M) - A Brazilian 🇧🇷 Capoeirista/Samba Dancer (F)
Well, IDK Kebaab... Trying to choose number 1 fighting game is like trying to choose which bottle of water distributor is the best or which cola is the best lol. All of them are almost same with little bit of differences.
No way! Something like Virtua fighter where you have to let the body move animations finish before the next move feels totally different to something like street fighter where you can cancel out a move/animation by inputting a new move
@@dodgykebaab I am not quiet sure how is that answer for my comment, unless you accidently type it in wrong place. Anyway, I don't like SF because it feels slow for me, but I didn't know that is such a thing in there. It sounds something like canceling spells or attack animations in Warcraft 3 or Dota 2. I don't know how is that bad thing.
@@Gazagua I don"t agree with you when you say the games are almost the same because the mechanics and pacing are really different, but i totally agree with the idea that it's just impossible to choose among them. And also, you can love all of them, a little less here and there but you know as a player why this game stands out from the rest.

I think both VF4FT & VF5R are one of the best in the series heck they're way better than 4evo, 5 & 5fs/us.

VF not only the GOAT but the underdog somehow as well. We need a VF6!

I actually really like the graphics of VF1. It has stood up with time unlike many PS1 games' physics
2:50 even tho the characters look like they were crafted by a patatoe peeler omg i almost died hearing that
I just wish they brought back the internal match recording and CUSTOMIZATION from VF5FS
Then we’d really have a masterpiece.
I put like a billion hours into VF 4 Evolution. I loved that game. I haven't tried VF 5 Ultimate Showdown.
My favourite fighting games from this generation and last generation are virtua fighter 5 and killer instinct. Tekken 7 a possible 3rd place
VF is like Go -> eay to learn and hart to master!
While Tekken is like regulary chess -> Hart to learn...
Definitely, I could never get on with Tekken
@@dodgykebaab Yup! Tekken is too slow, boring, and more! Thanks to the psx controller, I always had the feeling that my wrists were breaking!

Bruh! Lol I love the shade you threw at VF3 at 1:23.. I hate Vf3 too! You just earned a sub!
Oh VF is better than what Tekken will ever be... and the rest too
This and DOA were and still are my favourite Beat 'em Ups.
Are there online tournaments to watch like Tekken and KOF streams?
The best ever game made by man
What would you add to a VF 6 if it came out?
A decent quest mode again
