I was gifted with about 10 pounds of cherry plums a few days ago. I had never tasted cherry plums and didn't know what to do with them. But I employed a process similar to this but did not use any spices. I shall freeze the results which have a very tart and intense fruity flavor. They taste similar to pomegranate molasses or cherry molasses so they can be used as a tart fruit element to other dishes. Should be fun. Thanks for sharing your process.
Thanks for the feedback This sauce is used with barbecue, fried chicken, fried potatoes and other similar dishes. It is very tasty, it has a spicy and tart taste.
