0:44 Lori, I just started watching your videos and reading your blog posts a year ago. I love Vintage everything and I love your sew simple shapes and guides!!
I am very late to the party. I bought a kit, got the instructions from your blog and my excitement from Lori Holt 🥰. I have become a LH junkie in have gone down the rabbit hole.
Lori, you are truly a blessing. It is a joy watching you teach and I am looking forward to Monday. I too am a farm girl and also come from a long line of women who loved sewing and gardening, my mom, my grandma and me. When my mom was asked why she was always so busy she would say, "I do not let grass grow under my feet." How I miss her. Again, thank you, Lori.
Just ran into you on UA-cam, I stopped to watch you talk about the flower you were making. You did a very good job of explaining the process. Love the look of the quilt, I would like to make it into a table runner. I'm new to quilting going on two years now. I will watch you again. From New Zealand, stay safe!🌻🏖
I just wanted to say thank you for leaving your previous sew a longs and tutorials up for people to access 😄❤ It was a little tricky but I managed to pull together a kit for making this quilt from "flea market" fabrics, by ordering bits and pieces from 3 suppliers. (The original kits are all sold out) It might be next years project at this stage, but I'm really looking forward to getting the supplies and sewing along in 2025.... 🎉😅
Lori, I love that you always comment that our blocks don't always have to be perfect. Sometimes I rip a block out multiple times AND it just won't cooperate. Knowing that someone like yourself (an amazing person and quilt teacher) is saying not to stress over this is sew helpful Love your videos and I am a huge fan. I made the chicken salad and was hooked on your designs and fabric for life.
I commented on an older tutorial, but I wanted you to see this more recently: I adore all your featherweights! Can you do a show on where you get them, how they're painted, how they work ( as in sewing), and how old each one is. If I'm interested, I'm sure many others are! Thank you Lori!!
my mom had got the kit and it is just a bit much for her to do at age 80....so guess who gets to do this Now!!!! This is going to be awesome. One of my favorites backgrounds!!! Thanks for another great project.
@@cindyloumasera4858 I was always taught that too but found some of the newer irons require tap water and I was told not to use distilled. If you buy a newer iron it will help to read what the manufacture is recommending. I learned the hard way.
Since the first time I saw your quilts i fall in love with them, you have such ability to teach that make me to learn so fast . thank you very much Lory for explaining the process so good, I AM from Venezuela .Thanks again for sharing your talent and knowledge with us.
Once again you have made a beautiful quilted project. That flower even alone would make an awesome quilt or pillow to match you beautiful quilt. Thank you so much for your help
This is an extremely pretty pattern, I'm working up my scraps with it. Your pie ruler is sold out. If anybody uses a normal Dresden ruler: you may need 20 segments for the bigger flowers, you have to adjust the Dresden ruler marks to the pattern.
Greetings from South Australia. I love this method of appliqué! I can’t get my head ( or my fingers😅) around needle turn applique, I don’t know why but that doesn’t work for me. I need the shapes to be perfect … yes, a bit OCD, and your method with the sew in interfacing gets such a nice clean finish. I have been slowly working on a quilt with a lot of applique on it and was so unhappy with it that I put it away but I might actually get it finished now. Thank you so much for your videos! They are beautifully clear and easy to follow and I love your fabrics. Have subscribed.🥰
I am really late to this party, but after seeing all the beautiful quilts on FB using this pattern, I ordered the kits and templates and I am getting started!! Thanks for the wonderful tutorial Lori. You are a great instructor and teacher.
LH, girlfriend you are my hero! I love your style, your fabrics are everything ❤ Once my kids are at school, I learn from you. Thank you! (I’m a brand new quilter, your teaching method is easy, thank goodness- so kudos there too)
Lori, I am in the process of turning my sewing/quilting room into Lori Holt world. I love your fabrics and quilts so much! I’m building up my fabrics supply so I can have choices. Buying all the books, supplies, etc.!
My puppy could hear the fast motion sounds when you were sewing the slices. He must have thought it was a mouse, and knocked over my tray of hand sewing I'm working on trying to find. He was going crazy....LOL 😆
You are the best teacher,When I make quilts and follow your directions it always turns out beautifully. Your fabric boards are genius. Thank you for your excellent tutorials ♥️♥️
I just found your tutorial (it is now April), so I'll have a lot of catching up to do. Love your fabrics and your detailed instruction. Thank You.........
I’m a beginner quilter sewer. I find this fabric so pretty. If I could see a tutorial for each block I would buy this fabric and attempt to sew this quilt.
Lori, I am SUCH a huge fan of yours! I love everything you love!! Please keep on dreaming up those absolutely beautiful designs. I will keep on watching, for sure!
Just come across you. This is the best quilt tutorial I have seen. You explain very clearly. Now I going to get all I need to do this over time. Thank you
I wish I could join you in this sew along . I just cant afford it . This would of brightened my day . Love how you demonstrate makes it so easy to understand .
Lori, Thank you for sharing so much of your stitching and technique. I learn so much just from watching and seeing how organized you are. I am setting goals to be more organized, too. Know that you are really appreciated. :)
Thank you Lori! I finally got my kit yesterday after pre-ordering back in August(?), that was a long wait! Very excited! This will be my 10th Lori Holt quilt, I love everything you design. I always learn something new from your videos, thank you.
Wonderful tutorial Lori! I can watch you every day, all day and always pick up a tip or two. Thanks so much for sharing your talent and knowledge with us.
Your designs are so simple yet amazing! I love how you don’t stress out about pinning - I’m working on flying loose and free! Thanks for spending time with us!❤️
I just love your work and thank you for these awesome tutorials! I have fallen in love with the chicken shapes and am new to sewing so can’t wait to get on board and create more 💕 sending love
Just really loved this tutorial. You are a great teacher, and you use terms that people would understand. I’d love to watch a tutorial on how to start a quilt on a domestic machine.
This is going to be the prettiest quilt. I was just talking with my youngest daughter this morning and chatting with her about getting her Lily a big girl bed (twin)! How cute would this be? Your fabric is so wonderful and any other time would order it before the video is over...but I have such a big collection (30 years +) of feed sack reproductions that would be so cute. Next year Lori, will be looking for your beautiful fabric. Sewing my stash in 2021! Thank you so much for your videos and sharing your methods, techniques...it is so fun to watch. Thank you again and bless you and your family this year! PS...Oh, your pastry roller is not fabric and I ordered that ;)...
Oh no Lori, now I want to do this one too!! Love that you call Cassidy “Sis”...my mom was the only girl in her family of brothers and she was known by “Sis” all her life ❤️
Finally got started on this project! I was a little nervous about starting with block M and cutting the 3x3 squares for the patchwork center and not messing up future cutting for the pie slices. I looked ahead (since I started late) and think I found all the "special" instructions, so hopefully it will go well. I bought extra fabric though. I have bought several of your shapes and fabric kits but this is my first time actually doing one of your applique sew alongs. (The others are sitting patiently waiting for me in my stash)

Yes i agree! I want to see her collection!!
I have a featherweight and would love to have it painted but not sure where to send it
Yep I would love to hear about those sweet machines too!
I LOVE the little truck pincushion. Sooooooo adorable!!!
Would love to see your daughter, she does such a great job video taping your tutorials

i have a 25 to 30 year Rowenta iron. Back when they use to make them great. I love it and it's never let me down .
I only use distilled water. it's very important if you want your iron to last years.
@@cindyloumasera4858 I was always taught that too but found some of the newer irons require tap water and I was told not to use distilled. If you buy a newer iron it will help to read what the manufacture is recommending. I learned the hard way.
What a wonderful fabric line this is. Buying, buying, buying!
I saw this quilt in a shop I stop at. I had to buy this kit, this is my first sew along. 🧵❤️🧵
