The speaker modules are manufactured by Holoplot. To not feature that name in this video is a disservice.

Interesting how an acoustic act is used as a talking point for a ground breaking sound reinforcement system. The Sphere looks to have lots of hard surfaces(concrete) vs all the soft surfaces of the Beacon so not an apples vs. oranges comparison. AND at the Sphere, aren't the interior display panels glass like? Won't that create an out of phase sound reflective nightmare for the sound engineer? 164,000 speakers is an homage to the wall of sound but tech has moved to line array distribution. Hope enough lines of code can overcome these issues.

The Speakers used at MSG's Sphere are from the company called Holopoint in Germany. I watched a few demo/tech videos from the company itself here on UA-cam, and it seems like it's a new type of line-array speaker that you can distribute in 2D (so not just one hang for each side like normal line arrays). The Holopoint speakers do not only utilise beamforming to create a uniform level over a venue, but it is also used to cancel out interference.
They have shown a demo, where four neighbouring listening areas can be heard in four different languages, one at each area, and no sound from any language spill into the neighbouring areas. This technique is also currently being implemented into some soundbars for homes, where two users would like to listen to e.g., different audio-entertainment at the same time.

If you really think about it. They had nothing to do with this technology. They just bught the system and spaces and try to pre-treat it like they built a system from scratch

Only that room could overcome how poor Garry Brown is at mixing sound.
