4K MILE REVIEW, 2016 KTM 1290 Super Adventure S , MY ALL AROUND RIDING EXPERIENCE

  • One year and 3,988 miles later....my experience and long term review of my 2016 KTM Super Adventure S. One of my all-time favorite motorcycles, lets break it down, shall we?

    Cruise control deactivation tends to be problematic! CC disengages if either the hand or foot brake is touched / if the throttle is opened / OR if the right hand throttle is nudged backwards! This last one is a problem because if you hit a bump or pothole your hand is more likely to slightly nudge it and you're damn near launched forward off the bike. I either have to keep my hand off of the grip entirely or risk an unexpected disengage. Very worrisome during strong wind gusts.

      Yeah @telemark140, not sure why KTM put the S on the plastics and title

      @@Larsterlarster2010 S is not on the plastics and shouldn't be on the title(if it is the dealer messed up). tecnicly tecnicly its not an S or a T just "super adventure", In 2017 the R and S came out on a new platform and this was renamed to T.

      Mach Tuck.....The Super Adventure is a mile muncher on the freeway, very agile on the Twistys, but it's like wrestling a grizzly in the mud, lol!

      if you are still on the fence an 1190 is far closer to your 950. more exciting, peaky power, lighter by quite a bit.
