hey so I have that exact same denim skirt and it def felt short for me but i am on the taller side but something that has worked for me is wearing a pair of volleyball shorts under it and it helps a lot for me.

clothing brands will make the same pieces of clothes over a number of years. so if you saw the same items in the Hollister outlet store that were in Hollister it's likely because they are from last season's drop. each season they'll improve whatever they can about the pieces or even change them slightly if needed to match with current trends. They might look the same but they're still last season and no brand is going to start out a season with pieces that were made for the previous season.
