Oh my gosh I feel you on the computer struggles!! I had a regular windows laptop, not a big deal but I was in the middle of this really big essay for one of my classes and it crashed and it was AWFUL, my essay was due the day after luckily not the next day, but I ended up ordering a MacBook Pro and then picking it up the next day at Best Buy because I needed to get my final essay done because it was like almost time for me to graduate. 2 years later and my MacBook Pro is doing great. Totally worth the investment and I just started grad school and got an iMac to use at home since I am doing online grad school. It works seamlessly with my MacBook Pro so I can do school on the go or at home and it all syncs up!
