As we are an absolutely rugby crazy country, you can go out almost anywhere and find a place to watch, any restaurant or bar. Alot of the malls also stay open late to show the game on a big screen. Just ask the locals in your area, they will be more than happy to point out all the places!!

Im from Ireland and honestly thought England were going to win, heart breaking for them to lose by a single point after leading almost all of the game, but South Africa are a tough team, they never let up and just keep believing.

That match was a rollercoaster for South Africans. 😬😬 😭😭 England was the underdog in this semi finals but they nearly pulled off a massive upset against us. They dominated the first half and most of the second half. I honestly think this was the Springboks worst World Cup performance. But hey, we made it to the final against the tougher New Zealand team, so I hope we bring our A game and do not repeat our mistakes from the England match.

Also, most family restaurants will broadcast the match live BUT you have to get there early as most places may book-out early....if it's at a restaurant it's possible your ears will be "shot" after the game as South African's are "loud" during the game...you will certainly feel like you are on that field with the noisy around you.....If you do get to watch the match live, enjoy it.

Epic reaction!! Jolly Roger is a classic place to watch although it can get a little rowdy so not necessarily a family place. The Hogshead is also a good shout if you're looking for a bar vibe and then from what I can remember Melrose Arch and Monte Casino both set up a big screens that are easily accessible for everyone! Also Pirates rugby club could be a good shout but I am unsure what their viewing situation actually is... make sure to book early if you choose to watch at a bar/restaurant. Go Bokke

I think all major Malls will have big screens and thousands of fans there . In 2019 major roads and malls were closed so that they could be used for the final game to be screened . But a lot of news on venues will be mentioned publicly during the week. Expect thousands of people on streets , massive traffic jams and a lot of places closing early on Friday . So plan ahead and GET ur SA tshirts , flags and face painted … the locals call it ‘bring your GEES ‘ to the venue you’ll go to. Be safe and be aware of your surroundings too. Otherwise you’ll have the time of your life .

The last two games gave me so much anxiety. I'm super nervous for the final against New Zealand. They will be fighting hard to take that World Cup glory from us. I just hope our boys are able to step up and hold onto the World Cup for a 4th time.

Kinda like football it’s so much about the ‘chess’ match across the whole game, so while I love reaction video and highlights you gotta watch the whole game if you can;) Love soccer too but what’s great about rugby is that there is a winner and loser in almost every single contact and play. Once you got the basic rules down you’ll love it even more;)
On the rules side there’s loads of good UA-cam videos explaining rugby to football players but really it’s just five things you gotta know, all the rest is a consequence of these:
1. Can only kick or carry the ball forward.
2. Can only tackle the person with the ball
3. If you tackled you must put the ball down, and the person who tackled you must let you.
4. You have to be on your feet and keeping your own weight to pick the ball up off the ground.
5. You have to approach the ball from your side of the field (ie the offside line runs through the middle of the ball)

This was a great disappointment. The Springboks were lacklustre. The English played a smart game and their tactics were perfect to take on the Springboks. They would have deserved to win. I do hope you see a final were the Springboks play with flair and intention. That is beautiful to see. Springboks v New Zealand is classic rivalry. Find a good bar near you and book. The experience is so much different than watching alone at home. Then again, with Semi-finals and Finals the aim is just to win and often not great games.
If you're in Johannesburg, you can also try Melrose Arch, it's exciting there, there's enough parking and it's safe
Looking at the scorers, this game was South Africa 16, Owen Farrell 15. SA were really not very energetic, it was Ox Nche coming in late in the game to dominate the scrum and force penalties who won the game for us
