I played around 75 rounds on those maps and when i learned one thing, its that it makes the games so FAST. You basically push in the Fog/Rain/Sandstorm, can't be seen from the Outside and play like an absolute Ape to win the "thing". There is no positioning anymore, no consideration that you could get hit from the other side of the Map, only Apeish pushing.
While this is true it also makes games way more dynamic and fun, prevents camping, promotes agressive gameplay and most important you barely get shot by those retarded clickers. For this point alone the whole map should be covered in rain/fog
The hard line between the weather zone and the rest of the map is the biggest issue. Makes for complete monke together push, monke together strong gameplay inside the zone. If this gets implemented without a gradual decrease in view range so people inside the zone can see outside at least to a certain distance and vice versa, it's goind to be a disaster of enormous scale

very fair take. I'd like to see it move as the battle progresses across the map like storms actually do. I agree, the fire is just straight up dumb and in my opinion it would be cool if it spread throughout the map as it went on. Its a cool concept but as you said it was executed badly

If they actually put some mechanics on this weather thingy, it would actually be great. For example, every 3 minutes, the weather will change its location randomly. which could be fun since you'll know that there is a chance that this weather thingy will hit your position, and for whatever you're doing it could be an advantage or disadvantage.
I think weather effects should move around randomly. That would make it so that it would be more dynamic. Also fog could dissipate with time or appear over time little by little. This just need too much work to be implemented by WG I'm pretty sure.
I will say this in this reacon dynamic mode I had by far more fun than anything else in the game. Haven't had this many super close games since 2018. There is always some wash games but for the most part everyone was involved in playing. Not alot of camping that seems to be popular for NA shitters. Plus it was a damage farm.
@alexanderstoyanov7464 they existed. Just never happened as much in random battles. Only people I legit saw struggle were bad players which is kinda ok with me.
It makes any foliage broken in the area, I played in the Forest map (the forest on the right side, middle town and left side village) and my tank was spotted by enemy Borat through 10-20 layers of foliage. Edit: played as Centurion I in the spot same as Daki's Leopard 1 at the start of the 2nd battle, got spotted from the south end by the enemy Borat)
That's possible in the standard mode as well, sure it doesn't make much sense with all this rain/ fog between the 2 of you but I wouldn't call it a bug either
If the weather had a map wide effect... It would be okay. Just treat it like a different map, lower view ranges, maybe slower off road from the mud, as an example. In RL, wars stop, because of rain, snow and mud. Tanks bottom out, jeeps instantly sink, people loose their boots trying to walk through it. As far as the fires go... that makes sense. If your in the fire and smoke, not many will see you, outside of it. Ever watch a fireman go into a burning building? The moment he enters the building, you lose sight of him, instantly. So with the mechanic as it stands... I would have to say, all the maps effected should be using fire. This mechanic is good for the fires. Sandstorms... I live in the desert... trust me, WG has no clue, at all, period!!! When a storm comes in the desert... it's a wall of sand and garbage. The garbage comes first with the wind, then the wall of sand, and the blocks out the sun, then finally rocks... yep, small 1 inch stones or for your guys, 10-13mm stones, get airborne. Our car insurances gives everyone here a free windshield every year. Nothing survives a Haboob, around here. That's what they call it here... a Haboob. And trust me, its MAP wide, and miles tall too. Scary shit, especially at night.
Hey Daki, did you noticed the mobility change in rain? You could do some pretty drifting in EBR, but not usefull tho. On the other side, being able to drift around the corner in E50M and still ram for 700 was wild!
Thanks for this, Daki. In World of Warships there is local weather which limits view to 8 km maximum for all ships in the weather system. It's simple and doesn't create a xone where only shops in the zone can see each other. I think something similar in WOT could work, without the added complexity of the proposed system.
I agree in it's current form it is bad, another option would be reduced vision everywhere not a LOT but enough that everyone at tier 10 doesn't have 445 view range. Maybe make light tanks more relevant.
How about a night time map, but with a thunder and lightening, and you can only spot or be spotted when the lightening flashes, or when you fire your gun, and then for the ten seconds after like usual, and have a proxy range increase. Would it just be a camp fest ? Or would it encourage movement because you could make some big pushes unspotted if timed well.
Its unfortunate that the survey did not have a text box, I would have written an essay. bullet points Rain and sandstorms should move across the map, fog should should grow and/or dissipate over time around the water sources for the maps, fires could start as a spark and spread and/or burn out over time. the mechanic has potential but is not good in its current form.
The problem I have with the mode is the boundaries and vision are too abrupt. One second there's nothing visible and the next second there are 4 tanks that just show up out of nowhere.
Imo id be so much cooler if on a map it just started to rain or snow. Without any effect to the mechanics. Just rain. Which already will block the players vision and has an effect because of that. Or how cool would it be if a sandstorm rolled through the Desert Maps suddenly. Without any warning indicators. Currently its just "there is a sandstorm in this local circle. Good luck...or something" and thats boring imo
What they could REALLY do to absolutely mess up people In the Zone is to make identifying friendly from enemy beyond 100 meters effectively impossible. Don't re-introduce team damage, tho, that would invite griefing. Hitting an ally would still do nothing but waste a shot.
I liked weather stuff but somehow they managed to place it on the wrong side of the map in most places. If they can use weather to make it possible to break through campers it would be golden for me.
I think that the weather effects reward "braindead plays" a lot. People just can do whatever they want inside of the zone because they cant get punished from outside anyways. Ive seen plays and peeks being made, that would never work without the weather effects. People who activly use it will have a lot of fun but at the same time it takes away most of the tactical aspect which in my opinion is a great part of the "players skill". However I like your idea with the zone moving and sometimes not appearing at all.
All players: Weather happening on maps would be cool to make things look different. WG: Let us make it completely complicated and effect game mechanics.
We need a system like in WoWS with the storm moving and within the spot range is limited. Current static systems seems lazy and more catering to performance management than actual gameplay.
Arty should be able to hit into weather without issue since it's relying on the vision of vehicles in the zone and rain does not affect radio. Just perhaps reduce the accuracy of arty (which is already a pretty pointless class in the game anyway) a small bit. Vision in the zone should be reduced by 25% (or somesuch) but from outside looking in it should be reduced by 50% (or somesuch) but not eliminated. DRAW distance should be reduced by 25-50% but the zone should NOT eliminate draw of enemy vehicles entirely as it does now. The game also needs an additional light-tank only skill: _Observation Specialist_ which improves the dispersion values of SPGs by up to 30% when fully trained. Or they should just remove the SPG class entirely to stop all of the crybabies whining.
Personally i hate the "im 51m away from you driving my maus but it's raining here so you cant see me" mechanic. It just doesnt make sense at all. No, it's not engine limitation / radio mechanic issue. You can separate the "weather effect" areas into diffrent layers that would reduce radio effectiveness by 90/70/40% (closer to center more reduced effectiveness) so people outside / on the borders wouldnt know exact positions of the people deep inside but they would see people 100m away from them
The hardline stuff just doesn’t make sense… I think the dynamic moving is cool idea or just apply it to the entire map. I don’t think someone should be on the line able to go in and out to avoid fire. Visually it’s not heavy enough to sell the idea of a hard cut line. Applying a visual limit might do the trick here. Radios should still report back health. I like the fire idea. Especially if it expanded and removed camo efficiency the longer it’s on fire for. One thing I don’t like is the mechanics that occur are the same no matter the weather type.
the radio situation makes little sense at the edge. how come it works fine through the fog when both are inside it , but standing next to each other at the edge of the fog allows no communication. just feels weirdly implemented.
@flammenwerfer1976 I think you do. It goes towards the tanks DPG so why shouldn't it go into the MOE too? The mod is also counting upwards but that could also be a bug. But I'm 99% sure it goes into MOE
The weather meme allows us to not get artied but we shouldn't have to rely on a mechanic to not get shot from the red line but a class that has view over the map and can shoot from where ever with impunity it's all about map design amd tank statistics which they should also be fixing to make it so tanks like the bz should have never been an an option to sell
Really happy to fight in close fight Outpost is better Like all other map, you can brawl Otherwise (lights, TDs, and even some meds cannot play) maybe in ambush with the limit of tye zone
I hate how WOT is constantly buffing HTs and brawling TDs and nerfing LTs and glass cannon TDs. Between this weather and the already in place maps that have planes dropping out of the skies. Just trying to make the matches quicker, as if they arent quick enough already! Ack
I like the visual effect but less the gameplay so if they keep it just for visual sure go for it but dont make this arenas where the armored tanks having a blast on each other while the td's arty's and lights have nothing to do from outside of it
Bring back some old maps instead! Lots to pick from. This is not working as it is, so hopefully WG has brains to get it right and tested thoroughly before live.
The weather thing is great in one thing, triangles are now sucking a massive cock and it's amazing just thanks to that. But in the same time it's placed in the worst side on most maps (appart westfield if they remove it from the city)
No. The position in fishermans bay he played in game 1 wouldn't be possible if there was no heavy rain zone. He would get sniped from snipers from the back. Thats just one of many things that made daki play differently then he would have otherwise
From this I conclude. Weather mechanic is completely trash. No cvross fire. No range. No spotting. No camo. Just brawling and only brawling. Imo, just remove the different maps completely. And have 1 map with 4 quadrants. Each is 100m x 100m in size. Then you spawn in one such quadrant. you can´t spot or shoot to different quadrants. But you can drive into them.
The maps become dogsh*t, cuz it makes steamrolls a garentee, what would normally be a 5 mimute simulator, is now a fking 2 minute simulator. The weather effect is not realistic but very much broken. It is a stupid idea on al of the maps, the only positive element is are the visuals Also daki ur going too soft when it comes to the ranting Imo. The characteristics of the zone meaning ability to not spot or communicate on either side of the zone is what makes it broken, not the fact that it is static. Cuz even if it were to move, you could just drive alongside with the zone and the gameplay would be just as dumb. Simple as that
My god, it is too dificult to play with this tank: run with w key and shot, the vehicle will hit where you are aiming and bounce the enemies shots. What trouble, really balanced. Surelly Wargaming will not nerf this vehicle soon.
Weren't you the guy crying about how bad waffle supposedly is? Blyska is far from OP in randoms, it gets ammoracked a lot, can't fight long-range, has unreliable armour and least but prob most importantly, doesn't have a turret which makes it inconsistent and you can tell by the results (not a 5k tank)
And here we see WG's plan uncovered. Experienced players having less information and less logical background to make decisions, so newbies can do better in game. Call of Duty 101, for the last 15 years. If weather effects start impacting "good 'ol gameplay", this game will be done faster than you think.
for me its too strong, they should make it like a stronger bush, and when shooting your position should be located, also zone should be dynamic, and if your spotted you should not be unspotted when going inside. when located enemies outside must be able to see you, maybe if possible reduce the radio range of enemies outside so not every one(snipers/td) can shoot you but second/medium line can locate you or make the spotting time like half
like radio range should not be a perfect circle line, but like apples logo, a dent or like a push inside(distortion) must happen where the storm is, so those further away cant destroy imediately those brawling inside who are spotted, but also brawling like this makes you not use so much cover because you are unspotted by those outside, it gave fighting new experience i thought it was cool, but fog is too strong
if your tank can brawl its good if not then wargaming say F uuuu and the mind boggling thing that makes me speechless is you and the enemy are not on the weather zone and the weather zone is btwn you HOW CAN HE STILL SPOT YOU thats stupid WARGAMING

The asteroid that killed the dinosaurs 🙏
in 20 minutes he did more damage than I'm in a week
One of my friend three marked the polish TD within a week thx to this recon mission lmao.
you dont get marks in recon i dont think
@flammenwerfer1976 I think you do. It goes towards the tanks DPG so why shouldn't it go into the MOE too? The mod is also counting upwards but that could also be a bug. But I'm 99% sure it goes into MOE
@@flammenwerfer1976 you do, i farmed my e4 with those missions. In fact daki's video showed the changes with the moe mod.
Good feature
The weather meme allows us to not get artied but we shouldn't have to rely on a mechanic to not get shot from the red line but a class that has view over the map and can shoot from where ever with impunity it's all about map design amd tank statistics which they should also be fixing to make it so tanks like the bz should have never been an an option to sell
artas can see insine the fog, you just have to quit the arta view and re-enter it, you see the ennemy for 3-5s (enough to aim)
Really happy to fight in close fight
Outpost is better
Like all other map, you can brawl
Otherwise (lights, TDs, and even some meds cannot play) maybe in ambush with the limit of tye zone
I hate how WOT is constantly buffing HTs and brawling TDs and nerfing LTs and glass cannon TDs. Between this weather and the already in place maps that have planes dropping out of the skies. Just trying to make the matches quicker, as if they arent quick enough already! Ack
They should make it actually random on whether the events happen or not, and it should last for 1 to 3 minutes and covers the entire map
Damnit, WG setting bushes on faya
Or they should make it as random event that goes on from 30-60s for example
22:04 HUH?
Better MatchMaking Could Be GREAT - But Not Like This! 😂
actually i notice that the view of your channel increase when u start doing it often
I like the visual effect but less the gameplay so if they keep it just for visual sure go for it but dont make this arenas where the armored tanks having a blast on each other while the td's arty's and lights have nothing to do from outside of it
👍👍❤❤
Missed a trick on night maps etc.....
Day 15 of asking daki to 3 MARK the obj.705A 😊
Bring back some old maps instead! Lots to pick from. This is not working as it is, so hopefully WG has brains to get it right and tested thoroughly before live.
Subbin on my mams account lmao
wow no likes feelsbadman
The weather thing is great in one thing, triangles are now sucking a massive cock and it's amazing just thanks to that.
But in the same time it's placed in the worst side on most maps (appart westfield if they remove it from the city)
Hello gaymers
Make a special event out of weather like Frontlines or Steel Hunter. Otherwise, leave it out of the game.
Hopefully they wont release that shit n ruin the game.!!!!!!
Let's be honest most of the games you showed us the weather had no effect in the result
GIWE NEW MAPS NO THIS SITH MODE
What is the purpose of wg?We need a server like the Russian server,You can't think you're doing anything just by tricking the weather.
The weather will change WOT into a slug fest
The maps become dogsh*t, cuz it makes steamrolls a garentee, what would normally be a 5 mimute simulator, is now a fking 2 minute simulator. The weather effect is not realistic but very much broken. It is a stupid idea on al of the maps, the only positive element is are the visuals
Also daki ur going too soft when it comes to the ranting Imo. The characteristics of the zone meaning ability to not spot or communicate on either side of the zone is what makes it broken, not the fact that it is static. Cuz even if it were to move, you could just drive alongside with the zone and the gameplay would be just as dumb. Simple as that
This is total GARBAGE
They can put more effort to fix MM and new maps
Not so dynamic 😁😁 Look at weather in MSFS2024 😂
My god, it is too dificult to play with this tank: run with w key and shot, the vehicle will hit where you are aiming and bounce the enemies shots. What trouble, really balanced.
Surelly Wargaming will not nerf this vehicle soon.
Weren't you the guy crying about how bad waffle supposedly is?
Blyska is far from OP in randoms, it gets ammoracked a lot, can't fight long-range, has unreliable armour and least but prob most importantly, doesn't have a turret which makes it inconsistent and you can tell by the results (not a 5k tank)
You're really not the best at rating tanks my man...
Cool graphics. Dumb gameplay. Kinda emphasizes the generally bad map design. Commenting for the algorithm.
And here we see WG's plan uncovered. Experienced players having less information and less logical background to make decisions, so newbies can do better in game. Call of Duty 101, for the last 15 years.
If weather effects start impacting "good 'ol gameplay", this game will be done faster than you think.
first
for me its too strong, they should make it like a stronger bush, and when shooting your position should be located, also zone should be dynamic, and if your spotted you should not be unspotted when going inside. when located enemies outside must be able to see you, maybe if possible reduce the radio range of enemies outside so not every one(snipers/td) can shoot you but second/medium line can locate you or make the spotting time like half
like radio range should not be a perfect circle line, but like apples logo, a dent or like a push inside(distortion) must happen where the storm is, so those further away cant destroy imediately those brawling inside who are spotted, but also brawling like this makes you not use so much cover because you are unspotted by those outside, it gave fighting new experience i thought it was cool, but fog is too strong
if your tank can brawl its good if not then wargaming say F uuuu
and the mind boggling thing that makes me speechless is you and the enemy are not on the weather zone and the weather zone is btwn you HOW CAN HE STILL SPOT YOU thats stupid WARGAMING
