Once you changed to different paper, the layout turned into a winner. I’ve done layouts that looked like a sticker sneeze, too. You’re right. It’s only paper!
Isn't it funny how one simple change makes such a big difference. That is exactly how I felt, sticker sneeze! It brought back some bad memories. 🤣

Oh heck yea! I’ve been there several times lol. Just took the picture off and ripped everything apart or threw it in the trash🤣 I like your second choices much better. My favorite photos are Eli looking over the book and ruler. She did an awesome job! TFS
I'm glad I'm not the only one that has been there! 🤣 She is such a talented photographer. I am so glad I found her. I still think it is crazy that she has photographed his back to school 3 times now and we haven't had any repeats!
Your friend gave good advice it was the icon paper that was causing you to dislike the page, while you were adding all the ephemera (which I loved that concept) I kept telling you “that paper is too busy”. It was great to see your process. 👍🌏
It was just too busy!! I need to take be okay with using B sides more, but the A sides are just so cute!!

Love the end result!! I have looked at a sketch and sometimes my papers don’t seem to reflect the feel of the page and I find that is why it doesn’t work for me. Sometimes, I just have to walk away from a layout & then when I go back, I am much more creative ❤

I am currently working on a layout that I have struggled with for a week and I’ve started putting things down to only not love it. But I keep telling myself that done is better than perfect. So I’m gonna get it done and put it in my book! 😂 I love how yours turned out though! It’s super cute!
Just keep at it, sometimes adding to it does help, but also if you truly don't like it is okay to change it. It is also okay to just have it done and in the album!! Thank you!!

Great video showing the tough side of scrapbooking. I love how it turned out! I love that you were determined to keep working on it and finish it. Also, asking for advice from another scrapper really helps me when I’m stuck, too!

Thank you so much! Yeah the tough side is there from time to time, but the end results are always worth it. I'm so thankful for my scrappy friends, they help more than they know!
He gets back to school and end of school. We also do family photos around Christmas time and in the Spring. Then there is usually a fun one thrown in, this year we are doing photos on a beach with a VW van. I can't wait to scrap those.
I put everything in place before gluing anything down. Then I move things about 10 times until I like it. 😂 Your first version just did not look like your “style”. Scrapbooking can get frustrating! It turned out so much better the second time.
I try to do that but then things move and it annoys me. 🤣 Yeah the first one was not 'me!' I definitely have a style.
