Thank you Elizabeth!!! I usually don't use a ton of embellishments on my layouts, but this was refreshing to just 'go wild' with the embellishments. I planned out my next couple layouts and stay tuned because I think you are really going to enjoy them.

I love everything about these pages! The biggest thing I love though is that you do this every year for you and Eli ❤️ it’s a beautiful, thoughtful memory for you both. The stitching and embellishments are perfect and not overbearing cuz the photos are 4x6. I enjoyed the Zoom meeting today. Maybe I can contribute more next time. I did complete some of the phases before my surgery. I just didn’t hv the energy for discussion lol. TFS

I like how you used your die to cut out the squares. I have trouble trimming straight too. I do want to do one of these layouts where you use a grid pattern. I think some of my collection may have squares like this. Your layouts look fantastic! Your stitching is amazing. I just did my stitching on my sewing machine.
I purchased that die after doing another square layout and being so frustrated with it. Worth every penny! Simple Stories is known for the sheet of 2x2 squares, so I am sure you have some in your collections.

I have the same Big Shot as you. It didn't look like you were using the clear plastic plates that came with it, but instead you had the magic mat. How does that work?
I have one clear plate for the top and then the magic mat for the bottom. I have had it about 6 months now and I am really enjoying it. I don't get that 'cracking' sound that I use to get with the plastic plates. It is also very easy to clean, I just use a bristle brush and soap.
I enjoyed this very much. What type of thread or floss do you use?

How many strands do you used to sew with. I purchased the We R sewing tool and tried it and used all six strands and it was so hard to sew.
I use 3 strands on most layouts. If the area is small I will use 2 strands.
