it depends what assembly you have, in my case I have some moving parts which are not locked. So try to delete some constraints from the spline line to make it more flexible
Hello, I am using this same way to make piping for hot tub. But my problem is that the pipe is not hollow inside. Is yours hollow? any suggestions? Thanks.
I had the same problem, but found a work around. Do everything up until point (2:00), then make a axis in your new hose part in each of the two locations, and use those axis' to make the spline tangent. I was not able to use the temporary axis' as Alex did.
Go to the System Options - General, then External References, and check boxes of "Automatically genetate names for reference geometry" and "Allow creation references external to the model"
Very helpful. thank you!
You're welcome
why i cant make it tangent to the temporary axisZ?
I keep getting an "over defined" message when I try to make the spline tangent. Does the whole assembly need to be locked?

wow extremely helpful
I am glad I could help 😁

yes it is hollow inside, if you look at minute 2:40 you can see that is hollow inside, just follow the tutorial and your hose will be also hollow
hi guy, I'm can't sweep in assem ,help me, please
Nice job, congrats.
Thank you 🤗
Do you know why I can´t get the end of the spline (2:00) to mate with the centerline...
I don't know, have you tried again? try again and follow the steps in the video, it should work
