I stumbled upon discussion around FND. PLEASE OMF give your opinion on this as a legitimate diagnosis. As far as I can tell the original proponents of the FND diagnosis were students of Weiss and Co. When my M.E. Got suddenly much worse with presumed covid infection I was given this bullshit diagnosis by neurologists who couldn’t see anything to explain my new symptoms on brain scans = along with exactly ZERO treatment. I was NOT a positive diagnosis but one of exclusion. I didn’t even have a positive Hoover’s test. It was blatantly obvious that the neurologists did NOT believe in M.E. Or LC and therefore arrived at FND making some connection with traumatic events from my childhood.
