I find this really funny because (keep in mind that I only played ORAS and at a super young age, so I don’t remember much. I’m just going off of your comment) in the game, he’s “boyish” and dislikes “girly” things, and like wished you were a guy or something. but his manga counterpart, Ruby, is LITERALLY SUCH A GIRLY BOY (his looks, attitude, even dream can be classified girly.. but I don’t wanna say that because that’s gender stereotypes).
This is way Pokemon Masters is the greatest spin-off ever, as it gives all the main series characters chances to not have the personality of wet cardboard (looking at you, Kalos)
I wish Nemona at one point actually used her champ team instead of what she build up alongside you going up to champ rank. I wonder what she used to get it done before, even though Geeta is the champ so she could probably use an army of sleeping slakoths to beat her
hop was one of my favorite rivals from across the games. I loved his story about him getting over what bede said to him and eventually coming to the conclusion that battling wasn't for him and switching paths to become a pokemon researcher at the end. I might be biased because sw/sh were my first pokemon games that I could fully understand (since I wasn't 3 at the time of playing them) but I just wanted to spread some hop positivity.
About N, except for the final takeover he only ever uses pokemon that you can catch, where you fight him and releases them after. He essentially only catches these Pokemon to test the person he sees as his hero counterpart. And i will put the thing about tram Plasma like this: They had to use the stones to destroy the stones.
@@billcipher8645 Silver eventually grows into a friendly rival. We get the best of both worlds with Silver. He grows from a prick to someone who respects the player and I absolutely love him for it.
I kinda prefer Nemona over Serena. Serena seems more coddling for the sake of it, which does get annoying after a bit, but Nemona is just so excited to fight you as you get stronger that she's hard for me to dislike. Add in the fact that I love super competitive girls when it comes to Pokemon, and I was hooked.
@themasterblaze7563 Saw a video who hated on my man Silver because he's a dick to start which apparently turned the person off for the rest of the game. Even went so far as to say his fans only like him because he's edgy. Which isn't completely wrong, but Silver fans love the fact that he goes from being edgy to really understanding that the way he treats Pokemon is wrong, and strives to be better because of it.
Nemona canonically is a borderline stalker always conveniently at the gym you're about to enter (in an open world game) and when questioned she gets flustered and runs off I think the yandere vibes were an intentional joke by the devs she's a very fun character
Hop is not that bad. People are overhating. It does not make sense to fault him for losing when literally every Rival loses to you on principle cause you would not be able progress the game, (except with Blue). He got much farther as a trainer than Bianca, May/Brenden, (they literally give up halfway through the game & in OG RSE you never get fight a fully evolved starter from them), the Kalos Rivals, and SM Hau, (not USUM Hau). Also he is the only other Rival, other than N, to canonically have been personally chosen, (Gladion just ran off with Silvally), by and catch a Boxart Legendary Pokemon. Also so what he quit being a active trainer to become a professor assistant? So did Gary in the anime after his first & ONLY loss to Ash,( hey if you are going to judge based upon anime appearances then its only fair). It just becomes a bonus for him especially since it continues the legacy that his great grandfather Professor Laventon started.
Controversial opinion: I freaking love Barry. He is basically an ADHD caffeinated squirrel with too much ambition and a bit of an ego, and I find all that endearing. I like that Barry is friendly to you while still thinking he's obviously superior. I feel like he's a really good combination between a friendly rival and a jerk rival, and I enjoy fighting him and running into him. I think I like him so much more because I played diamond, not platinum, and best I can tell, he's way less annoying, and more entertaining in DP than Platinum. Never played BDSP, so I can't speak for that.
@@giraffegirl1691 ikr i just miss not seeing him bumping into him whenever you reach a gym hes also dum to fight he accepts you are stronger than him gradually thats just character development hes like a best friend eager to catch a legendary pokemon in the beginning taking you with him shows that he appreciates you too
I honestly really love Hop. I get it feels stupid that he gets so bummed out after losing to Bede and him flat out stopping battling entirely after the SWSH post game, but looking at it from his perspective- I can see why. He’s the younger brother of Galar’s #1 trainer and obviously being a rookie trainer whose related to the Champion, naturally that’s gonna come out it’s some pressure on your shoulder and inside you’re going to have a lot of doubts. Also I think the reason he ran crying from Bede was because he was taunting him really bad. Like say what you will, Bede knows how to rile people up.
Can't believe we went in chronological order, covered Silver, and then called Hugh the only one to straight up punch someone. Silver can attack you directly once in the OG games and twice in the remakes, and you never had it coming. Not even when you stood there and shamelessly eavesdropped on his dad abandoning him. I feel like I heard somewhere that Gamefreak stopped doing jerk rivals for like 6 gens because of more space for game data. In the older games, they had less room to get character across, and picked a louder rival personality (jerk) to get the concept across, but once they had more space for... idk... extra text boxes, they felt like they could convey a sense of rivalry without having to make characters antagonistic. Which is a neat idea in theory but in practice it's way easier to make an antagonistic character feel like i have a narrative reason to fight them. Some of the friendly rivals do feel like they're genuinely just trying to help push you to be stronger, but a lot of them feel like pushovers that the game is making youfight just for the sake of repeatedly beating up the same person.
In a little bit of defense for Wally in the remakes, they do show you his determination that much more, as speedster pointed out. It’s the way that he throws his Poké ball. At the beginning, he kind of just flings it nervously but near the end, you just see him throw it with the most confidence, sure he knows he won’t win, but nothing is stopping him from at least trying. Then we get to the post game. This motherfucker, went, I’m about to tear your throat out by giving an entire 6v6 team with EV, IV natures, relevant items and competitive move set, granted most players wanna see that because who the fuck plays through the battle Mayson but it’s a nice little reward… Plus that music!
Something I’ve noticed about the rivals was that, with each passing game, the rivals felt less and less like rivals, and that sucks, because I want to be able to have a genuine rival
You're just trying to trigger me with all your Wally slander. *Kicks down the front door with an angry Ursaring next to me* AND I NEVER SAID IT DIDN'T WORK!!!
May by far is my favorite rival for the fact that Oras sets up this sort of childhood friend bond that truly reminds me of childhood when I played ruby as my first game it feels full circle or complete for may to be my rival. Though scarlet and violet have by far some of the best characters and rivals because the storylines that are tied together are just so beautiful but for me gen 3 is just my childhood and I’d be happy I’d gen 9 was my first game because of how inspiring it was just a truly great adventure.
Hop to be fair was mimicking Leon style and not doing his own style but came through against on the darkest day granted hops Pokémon is predictable and you just type match he just needed to be himself not mimic Leon
Barry is how I decided to do starters, I can only see Dawn with a Piplup thanks to the anime, but infernape just fits him with how much of a monkey he can be
How the fuck is Marnie better than Hop? Hop had a whole character arc about realizing that he can be good on his own while all Marnie does is not wanna be the gym leader and she can't smile.
The line between Characters and Rivals gets blurry for me, but I'd say: Blue cause he's DA GOAT, Hugh cause he's a badass Sasuke but not pushing it and is sweet (plus he decked someone canonically lol), Nemona cause she's that good that she made a NEW team to start of from scratch just to be even with us and is still basically a normal girl under her crazy battling needs, Gladion cause he's Sasuke incarnate but dope on his own terms, Hau cause he's very capable on walking by our side yet pushes us to beat him (I know that feeling cuz I had a friend that I called a rival), and Sliver cause I really hate his guts and only want to beat him :)
5:07 He only catches wild Pokémon temporarily from nearby and releases them immediately afterwards -- this is elaborated upon in B2W2, you can even catch his former Pokémon and they get a special sparkly effect if you use N's former Pokémon in battle!
Hop: Is not good at battling and makes a career 180 based on showing no desire for his new career choice. Wally: Has a respiratory disorder and starts off shy but still doesn't stop trying to be a great trainer.
2:15 - That’s what she wants you to think. After roughly the Route 110 fight, May seems to recognize how badly you outclass her as a trainer and tries to deflect her shortcomings by passive-aggressively admonishing you for mainly using your team for battle over nurturing them… she says when most of her onscreen appearances are her camping on a route and throwing Pokeballs at anything that moves till she runs out. Brendan by comparison just grows increasingly crestfallen at the fact that he fell behind but doesn’t chide you for it like May does.
5:52 You said Hugh was the only rival to straight-up punch someone. "Punch" I agree with, but if you talk to Silver west of Elm's lab in the original GSC, it's heavily implied that he kicks you. (HG/SS changed the sound effect to imply a push instead.)
wally at C is a literal crime have you ever thought that in reality, you were wally's rival? usually rivals would walk up to you, but wally was there and you are the obstacle in his path to victory road, also his team in the battle maison is pretty broken, potential to be a champion -Magnezone with air balloon -Talonflame with gale wings -Garchomp with rough skin rocky helmet -Gallade with galladite (of course) -Azumarill with Huge Power -Roserade (yeah roserade is just a bouquet of flowers) Wally is honestly one of my favourite rivals but its still your opinion
I honestly really liked Avery, he's basically Klara and Blue fused together. Having Klara's envy and Blue's cocky attitude, made him feel amazing to beat.
I feel like you shouldve placed cheren in A/S teir. Early game he knew how to use items to his advantage, and was quite a challenge for me. He also told N to shut up as he talked to fast, which was pretty badass in my opinion, lmao. Completely agree on Wally, though.
Fun fact, in the manga Brendan is a fashionista (pokemon coordinator) and May lives in the woods but still Birch’s kid thats smarter than him. (Wally also ends up becoming a ninja but it isn’t funny).
i don't know enough about every rival to rank them all but here are my three favourite rivals 1, Silver 👑 Silver is the greatest rival in my opinion, i adore silver and i love his design and personality and silver is just very interesting, i love how he's a criminal and i like the little details like how his golbat evolves into crobat, golbat only evolves by friendship, which shows silvers character development, i love how silver subtly becomes a better person also ethan is my favourite protagonist so it just makes more sense for silver to be my favourite rival oh yeah, silver being Giovanni's son is SUCH A GOOD TWIST :D 2, N N is a cool rival, i like how he's also a villain aswell and i love how he gets a legendary and u have to battle him, i also remember the first time i saw him was when i was watching the anime and i poked fun on how weird the name N was lol 3, Blue, blue is the OG rival and i like how he's both a jerk and a friend, blue is pretty cool overall and those were my three favourite rivals
I love how they stopped making your rivals dicks in the third gen, the same gen where they stopped letting you name your rival. It seems like they did that on purpose.
My first game was s/m and hau deserve a Much better tier. Ik everyone thinks he s goofy but he have goals not like others. Anyway you doing great. (But you forgot Arven, Lily, And Penny)
Just a small theory about rivals that i have is that the reason why some seem so bland compared to others is that gamefreak probably puts more creativity into some characters than others. Maybe thats why people enjoy Klara more than Avery. I hope this isnt true because that would also probably mean that they will start repeating material.
Ok imma say it, Calem is my favourite protagonist and Trevor is my favourite rival. Honourable mention to Silver and Barry you guys are awesome. Yes I like Trevor, do we have a problem?
Not going to lie your list is almost the same as how I would put them. For me it felt like Gladion was more Hau's rival than your own in Sun and Moon. With how they interacted with each other it felt your character was the third wheel whenever the two of them were talking with each other.
Avery is pretty much the same as Klara. He is jealous and cheats in the final battle by summoning Psychic Terrain( which is less threatening than Klara's toxic spikes) I would rate him in low B tier
My list 1. Hugh: Loved his backstory and character. He's the thing that recent rivals want to be but not only fail, but they do it so badly I'm disappointed 2. Silver: First actual rival for me. He made me want to beat him up at first but after learning his backstory wanted to take him to a psych and get him checked out. 3. Wally: The underdog of my top 3, but damn is he strong as heck. Sure he's victory road team is ....laughable at worst, but damn that Battle Maison team be making me look over my shoulder for Gale Wings Talonflame 4. Blue: He's more of jerk than Silver, but with a lot less baggage. His team is filled with some of my favourites tho, so that's a plus 5. Barry: Hyperactive and somewhat annoying, he's at least got some of the skills to back up his bark sometimes. But seriously Barry, why Rapidash when there are better fire types like Houndoom and Arcanine running around? His other picks are honestly really good and i like that he actually has the patience to get a Snorlax and Heracross 6. Bianca: In BW, N keeps going on and on about people mistreating Pokemon, which is kinda weird considering he (maybe) beat Bianca offscreen, who has a team filled with Max Happiness mons, and he somehow still questions that. She's only this low because I wouldn't classify her as a rival more as a friend. Still those Returns hit like a truck sending you to isekai 7. Cheren: I feel like they're reusing the Blue trope, but I do like that he often appears to help you in all the games he's appeared in. Same reason as Bianca as to why he is this low 8. May/Brendan: All I can say is, Battle under cycling road. Beyond that nothing memorable for me 9. Hau: More of a friend than a rival. Still got a good team tho 10. Gladion: Really edgy, really wanted him to have a bit more screentime, but I'll take what i get 11. The X and Y rivals: Need I say more? Nemona, Hop, Marnie, Bede: I feel like they're reusing tropes from the previous games, but honestly these guys would be mid rank for me
Oh this is a good one, my tier list would be something like: S - Silver & Blue A+ - N; Gladion & Hugh A - Hau; Nemona; Bede; Klara; Marnie & May B - Serena & Cheren C - Shauna; Bianca; Wally & Berry Npc - Tiermo; Calem; Brendan & Trevor Inferno - Hop; Trace & Avery The npc category are rivals that just feel like some random ass npc, they feel completly unrealistic in a bad way yk. Inferno category are rivals id rather eat dog poopoo for a week then see theyre half baked ass again. The tier list is in order of best to the left and worst to the right, like the vid yk, let me know if ya agree or desagree with my humble opinion
your s tiers were all great, but i have a soft spot for trace, kinda cause i relate to him, being picked on and trying to get by, but other than that he needs a fucken upgrade, such as more character development.

In oras he's only like that in Littleroot and he's toned down quite a bit to he point where he really likes may
@@kingdoingstuff Yeah exactly. This was only really a thing in RSE but very toned down in ORAS
"Gladion's a well written character,"
Gladion ran from his abusive mother to join a gang *LED BY HIS ABUSIVE MOTHER*
And the irony is hilarious
He didn't realize that, though?
This is way Pokemon Masters is the greatest spin-off ever, as it gives all the main series characters chances to not have the personality of wet cardboard (looking at you, Kalos)

I wish Nemona at one point actually used her champ team instead of what she build up alongside you going up to champ rank. I wonder what she used to get it done before, even though Geeta is the champ so she could probably use an army of sleeping slakoths to beat her
yes sameee, hopefully in dlc part 2
hop was one of my favorite rivals from across the games.
Finally someone that doesn't bully him
Same, Hop is just a sweetheart
Hop slander really has to stop. I also understand how it is to have a successful older brother so I relate to Hop even more
I grew up with SwSh, so I'm kinda biased, but dadgummit, if I hear someone say Hau is better than Hop one more time-!
@user-bx6vi3sj3c as someone whose favourite games are SWSH and USUM, comparing them just... doesnt seem right. they're very different characters
What’s funny is that Trever is one of the only rivals who actually mastered mega evolution which is super cool
About N, except for the final takeover he only ever uses pokemon that you can catch, where you fight him and releases them after. He essentially only catches these Pokemon to test the person he sees as his hero counterpart.
And i will put the thing about tram Plasma like this: They had to use the stones to destroy the stones.
It’s a hot take but I prefer the more friendly rival like Serena and Nemona. Ones who will put me up other then put me down.
Same, Nemona is my fave but I also have a soft spot for Silver because of his cute smile in Masters
@@billcipher8645 Silver eventually grows into a friendly rival. We get the best of both worlds with Silver. He grows from a prick to someone who respects the player and I absolutely love him for it.
I just like good character development. Either start out nice and end up like a jerk or vice versa
“GO SEE A DOCTOR” i’m convinced he will make me laugh, every upload
I do my best
@@TheRogueRenegade :D
You honestly deserve so much more views to your content, I’ve been binging for days!
Thank you so much! I’ll do my best to keep uploading more
Same lol
I will not tolerate Hop slander.
@@giraffegirl1691 ikr i just miss not seeing him bumping into him whenever you reach a gym hes also dum to fight he accepts you are stronger than him gradually thats just character development hes like a best friend eager to catch a legendary pokemon in the beginning taking you with him shows that he appreciates you too
“To c tier he goes only because he knows his place”
Wonder who’s next- **THUD**
Whenever I play BW2 and I see Hugh lunch that Team Plasma grunt I burst out laughing and I don't know why
I love hop for no reason whatsoever.
Hugh throwing hands makes him the best.
But also i relate haha.
Im a new but big fan of your videos. Hilarious and well put-together, keep up the good work.
Thank you!! I will do my best
Good list, but respectfully disagree on Hop
I can see why, i still think hes cool
Ok so my s tier rivals are
Hau, hop, Barry, Cheren and nemona
My man
Something I’ve noticed about the rivals was that, with each passing game, the rivals felt less and less like rivals, and that sucks, because I want to be able to have a genuine rival
Me: "Mom can we get Blue"
Mom: "We have Blue at home"
Blue at home: Trace
Now updated with Kieran & Carmine. Carmine is probably A-tier, but Kieran is definitely S-tier
You're just trying to trigger me with all your Wally slander.
*Kicks down the front door with an angry Ursaring next to me* AND I NEVER SAID IT DIDN'T WORK!!!
I also think its really funny how Bede gets literally disowned right infront of you’re face.
Barry should be A tier in my opinion. He got humbeled by jupiter and trained to get his revenge. And he has in my opinion very fun tean.
Hop and belle should be A too, they have the best character evolution in the rivals
We are wally's Rival... wally doesn't count as rival
This man has some balls to do this
Hop to be fair was mimicking Leon style and not doing his own style but came through against on the darkest day granted hops Pokémon is predictable and you just type match he just needed to be himself not mimic Leon
Hop is a really gooooooood rival
Poor Avery.
I think he's kinda cool.
People just hate him for being the Shield guy.
Arven first battle:😊
arven last battle 👹
Ngl I didn't even know the Let's go rival's name...might've been because I named him "Garydos"
But Let's Go's rival adopted the orphaned Cubone in Lavender town ;-;
He even uses it as a Marowak on his Champion team ;-;
Why you have no heart?🥲
Me at 4:03 : HEY, HEY, *I KNOW THAT VIDEO*
Barry is how I decided to do starters, I can only see Dawn with a Piplup thanks to the anime, but infernape just fits him with how much of a monkey he can be
How the fuck is Marnie better than Hop?
Hop had a whole character arc about realizing that he can be good on his own while all Marnie does is not wanna be the gym leader and she can't smile.
The line between Characters and Rivals gets blurry for me, but I'd say:
Blue cause he's DA GOAT,
Hugh cause he's a badass Sasuke but not pushing it and is sweet (plus he decked someone canonically lol),
Nemona cause she's that good that she made a NEW team to start of from scratch just to be even with us and is still basically a normal girl under her crazy battling needs,
Gladion cause he's Sasuke incarnate but dope on his own terms,
Hau cause he's very capable on walking by our side yet pushes us to beat him (I know that feeling cuz I had a friend that I called a rival),
and Sliver cause I really hate his guts and only want to beat him :)
Hugh is more of a partner than a rival, as he has no intention of defeating the champion, only getting his sister's Purrloin back with your help
Its funny how Hugh has both a quilfish haircut and its ability.
5:07 He only catches wild Pokémon temporarily from nearby and releases them immediately afterwards -- this is elaborated upon in B2W2, you can even catch his former Pokémon and they get a special sparkly effect if you use N's former Pokémon in battle!
The SML clip made me laugh 😂
Hop: Is not good at battling and makes a career 180 based on showing no desire for his new career choice.
Wally: Has a respiratory disorder and starts off shy but still doesn't stop trying to be a great trainer.
your videos always make my day
you need more views
Thank you so much!
With Hop I just feel like the rival like at a point I just felt like a dick.
Good guy Brendan
But what about ORAS Walli, that dude became a legend and showed up in the Battle Tree
7:23 best line
W you put N on S tier
N tier is better
so true
@@TheRogueRenegade but you still lost to Wally (OK I know he had a gun, but still, you could’ve beat him)
5:52 You said Hugh was the only rival to straight-up punch someone.
"Punch" I agree with, but if you talk to Silver west of Elm's lab in the original GSC, it's heavily implied that he kicks you. (HG/SS changed the sound effect to imply a push instead.)
WHY WAS THIS SO ACCURATE THOUGH
Brandon just gives off protagonist energy
While May is like that silly side character who happens to like the protag
Places Wally in C
ORAS: Hold Up

Thank you 🚒
Me over here that listens to my chemical romance 👁️👄👁️ I am getting bullied 🙃
wally at C is a literal crime
have you ever thought that in reality, you were wally's rival? usually rivals would walk up to you, but wally was there and you are the obstacle in his path to victory road, also his team in the battle maison is pretty broken, potential to be a champion
-Magnezone with air balloon
-Talonflame with gale wings
-Garchomp with rough skin rocky helmet
-Gallade with galladite (of course)
-Azumarill with Huge Power
-Roserade (yeah roserade is just a bouquet of flowers)
Wally is honestly one of my favourite rivals but its still your opinion
I honestly really liked Avery, he's basically Klara and Blue fused together. Having Klara's envy and Blue's cocky attitude, made him feel amazing to beat.
Gen 6 Wally is an S tier, i honestly like him so much 2763/10
The comparison of Lear to the Oncler made me cackle 😂
I feel like you shouldve placed cheren in A/S teir. Early game he knew how to use items to his advantage, and was quite a challenge for me. He also told N to shut up as he talked to fast, which was pretty badass in my opinion, lmao. Completely agree on Wally, though.
You might be one of the few PokéTubers to actually play as his own gender. Nice. Respect.
Kinda sad hau isn't higher I love his energy and attitude
(I also love your vids and you should continue this style of content)
Surprised he didn't mention wally's victory road glow up
I really should've that's on me
Fun fact, in the manga Brendan is a fashionista (pokemon coordinator) and May lives in the woods but still Birch’s kid thats smarter than him. (Wally also ends up becoming a ninja but it isn’t funny).
i don't know enough about every rival to rank them all but here are my three favourite rivals
1, Silver 👑
Silver is the greatest rival in my opinion, i adore silver and i love his design and personality and silver is just very interesting, i love how he's a criminal and i like the little details like how his golbat evolves into crobat, golbat only evolves by friendship, which shows silvers character development, i love how silver subtly becomes a better person also ethan is my favourite protagonist so it just makes more sense for silver to be my favourite rival oh yeah, silver being Giovanni's son is SUCH A GOOD TWIST :D
2, N
N is a cool rival, i like how he's also a villain aswell and i love how he gets a legendary and u have to battle him, i also remember the first time i saw him was when i was watching the anime and i poked fun on how weird the name N was lol
3, Blue, blue is the OG rival and i like how he's both a jerk and a friend, blue is pretty cool overall
and those were my three favourite rivals
"Lear looks like the Oncler" WHY DOES HE THOUGH 💀
you can NOT talk down on my boy wally like that we all know that hes just secretly holding back his power so you can progress in the story
silver and blue are classics good to see them at the top, imo the original stories are the best (and i say that without them even being my first game)
Trace: *exists*
Me: WHO?!
I love how they stopped making your rivals dicks in the third gen, the same gen where they stopped letting you name your rival. It seems like they did that on purpose.
You can give Barry a name I believe
And hugh too
My first game was s/m and hau deserve a Much better tier.
FINALLY someone who favors Calem as a protag
Not going to lie your list is almost the same as how I would put them. For me it felt like Gladion was more Hau's rival than your own in Sun and Moon. With how they interacted with each other it felt your character was the third wheel whenever the two of them were talking with each other.
Rouge: HOP IS THE WORST!!
Zacian that hop gets in pokemon shield: allow me to introduce myself
which games video have you used to show Barry ?
Avery is pretty much the same as Klara.
He is jealous and cheats in the final battle by summoning Psychic Terrain( which is less threatening than Klara's toxic spikes)
I would rate him in low B tier
My list
1. Hugh: Loved his backstory and character. He's the thing that recent rivals want to be but not only fail, but they do it so badly I'm disappointed
2. Silver: First actual rival for me. He made me want to beat him up at first but after learning his backstory wanted to take him to a psych and get him checked out.
3. Wally: The underdog of my top 3, but damn is he strong as heck. Sure he's victory road team is ....laughable at worst, but damn that Battle Maison team be making me look over my shoulder for Gale Wings Talonflame
4. Blue: He's more of jerk than Silver, but with a lot less baggage. His team is filled with some of my favourites tho, so that's a plus
5. Barry: Hyperactive and somewhat annoying, he's at least got some of the skills to back up his bark sometimes. But seriously Barry, why Rapidash when there are better fire types like Houndoom and Arcanine running around? His other picks are honestly really good and i like that he actually has the patience to get a Snorlax and Heracross
6. Still those Returns hit like a truck sending you to isekai
7. Cheren: I feel like they're reusing the Blue trope, but I do like that he often appears to help you in all the games he's appeared in. Same reason as Bianca as to why he is this low
8. May/Brendan: All I can say is, Battle under cycling road. Beyond that nothing memorable for me
9. Hau: More of a friend than a rival. Still got a good team tho
10. Gladion: Really edgy, really wanted him to have a bit more screentime, but I'll take what i get
11. The X and Y rivals: Need I say more?
Nemona, Hop, Marnie, Bede: I feel like they're reusing tropes from the previous games, but honestly these guys would be mid rank for me
Barry,Silver,Cheren,N,and Hugh are all S Tier for me!
Now for F Tier:
Hop! He is annoying and just pathetic.
.....Hop's the only other rival to canonically earn a Legendary Pokémon.
@@ceecee6521 N: am i a joke to you
4:58 Plot twist: It was a hyper-realistic water gun
Hugh is basically the John Wick of pokemon.
Oh this is a good one, my tier list would be something like:
S - Silver & Blue
A+ - N; Gladion & Hugh
A - Hau; Nemona; Bede; Klara; Marnie & May
B - Serena & Cheren
C - Shauna; Bianca; Wally & Berry
Npc - Tiermo; Calem; Brendan & Trevor
Inferno - Hop; Trace & Avery
The npc category are rivals that just feel like some random ass npc, they feel completly unrealistic in a bad way yk.
Inferno category are rivals id rather eat dog poopoo for a week then see theyre half baked ass again.
The tier list is in order of best to the left and worst to the right, like the vid yk, let me know if ya agree or desagree with my humble opinion
Amazing Video🤩😮🤯😂🥺😊❤️
your s tiers were all great, but i have a soft spot for trace, kinda cause i relate to him, being picked on and trying to get by, but other than that he needs a fucken upgrade, such as more character development.
