- Well it's spring time here in Tassie.. Val (@myarmytrucks on IG) hit me up to go wheeling on a track that's close to home to see if we can make it in my Chopped GQ & his Land Rover Perentie from Asbestos Ranges over to the Sheepish Hills without touching a public road. We come across some awesome rock steps & a crazy washout that has clay like quick sand on our way to a hidden hut! We're both twin locked & heavily modified so this should be good fun.

Great stuff wheelin new tracks and area's, exactly my cup of tea. Video was well shot and agree about the gradients. You should write a 4x4 hand-book and publish, so that when big-island people come over for a drive, we have something to follow - based on local knowledge.

That they do man! I personally wouldn’t own one I don’t think without a LOT of heavy modifying to make it more me haha, but I heavily respect them and have definitely been out driven by some haha.

Nice vid, an interesting area I don't know much about. We should organise a Perentie shoot out with our mates unit which you might have spotted at Granville a while back! Good work on Cumberland too that weekend. Nice to see a UA-camr putting back, not just taking like some do.
Yeah that whole area is awesome dude from beacy right through to bakers is just an endless play area for anything for dirt bikes, buggies, 4wd, even horses get around out there so go slow around corners haha, seen a bad bike accident out there!!
Oh yeah there were some beautiful rigs there, couple of mint GQs, nice coil cab GU, zook and perentie, i remember them all!! Haha.
Jeez I wouldn’t call myself a UA-camr that sounds weird, I still do most of my wheeling & track clearing off camera at this stage haha, but yeah Cumberland was good fun, I’m glad a few other boys turned up to help was good to get it cleared. It had that tree over it a long time I was surprised it was still there. 👍🏻👍🏻

What a wicked video whats this track called i might give a go next time over in Tassie. That landy is mint as i would love to own one of them. I did the 1000 dollar last week in my 60 series loved it a lot few trees down done a bit of damage got suck twice though haha

Hey mate I know the tracks and see with my own eyes, camera doesn't do it justice at all. I'm in stock dualcab and those ruts an hills would swallow my car to give people an idea. I'm also a big fan of hunting down cabins/relics of the past. That cabin ive never seen and ive done alot of bakers because its next door to me essentially. Is the cabin on the northern end around sheep wash route?

Cheers mate ill find it. I recognised the area well enough easy to drive pass things if your not shown. Baker's is a big area really. Found that side to be the wetter side bug hill climbs nice creeks to cross through an fair share of pretty big ruts.

Dead set nothing against yourself, but I struggle with comments like this, cause Tyler and I have a tight enough relationship that there’s pretty much nothing that’s out of bounds to poke fun at one another, which I think is super important to bully your mates and to be bullied by your mates haha, keeps egos at bay.
But I can’t obviously know what everyone’s intentions are and whether their comments are coming from love or hate. Cause it could very well be that you’ve seen us get into one another and wanna be part of the banter which is great, but it could also be that it’s an actual dig, it’s super hard to know but yeah appreciate you watching mate and hope it’s coming from a good place cause he’s a dear friend of mine obviously and I owe a lot of my success to him.. I didn’t mean to get super deep haha but yeah a UA-cam comments section is hard to navigate stuff like that.

Rather than hooking up the winch, any reason why you dont just put the ol girl in gear when turned off?
Yeah it was in gear, with handbrake on, but even then the only thing holding it there is literally air above the piston. I trust it through and through, but 1. I had a mates car right behind me and 2. I was on a stupid steep hill (camera doesn’t show that), and I’ve actually had a car slide down a hill behind me while clearing a tree, didn’t even have to turn the wheels it just slid. 😅
Only takes a sec to hook up and my mate and his car is safe 🤷🏻♂️ why not aye haha. Cheers for watching ✌️
