This was really interesting, owning an Impala has been a dream since childhood.
If my lottery numbers come up I'm on the next flight to the USA to buy one.

I had this car. It was a convertible with power option for up and down, also had the air shock option. Had some more options but not as many as this one. It was a beautiful car, same color inside and out. It was my first car. Loved it. Wish I had it now.

The style that they had in the sixties was just amazing at that time .

Nice overview. I did not know that power buckets were an option along with headrests. Very nice.

The silver metal buckle were deluxe. Black plastic was standard. And seatbelts themselves weren’t mandatory until 1067.

Just a note: The windshield wiper arms are installed wrong. The driver side wiper arm should be on the passenger side and the passenger wiper arm should be on the driver side. This is a common mistake on the 65/66 chevy especially if the windshield has been replaced..

Just curious, is that a 6 way power seat on that Strato-bucket or just fore and aft? Both sides or just driver? Unusual option on a bucket seat Chevy.

Love the 65 and 66 Impalas. I have a 66... 4 door but I love it. In a weird situation if I should keep and restore it or move on :(

Those were the days when cars were made out of metal had great lines and you could tell one car from another. Today the cars are mostly fibreglass and plastic, minimum chrome, and all look the same. Not much designing and character in today's cars.
