Pretty good guide, and you're right; the economy actually is a little complicated...even more than you described. There are situations where instead of getting 1900 credits, you get only 1000 credits on a round loss. This is pretty important on rounds where you have a bad weapon, but are thinking of saving. For a loss on attack, if the spike hasn't been planted, they penalize any attackers who survived. For a loss on defense, after the spike is planted, they'll penalize any defenders who survived. This is one of the reasons pros decide not to save and sometimes even die to the spike on defense. They get an additional 900 creds to buy next round. If they die to the spike, although they won't get an ult orb, they deny attackers an orb while getting that extra money.
I played valorant for the first time last night. Played 2 games. I did AWFUL but I feel like memorizing the agents and their abilities would have helped me a lot. I’m coming from Apex so this is very different for me. Apex is the only game I ever played for 3 years. I’m finally expanding my horizons
@@candramargarena3431 I know. Since I can’t play apex for a while (I play on console) I had to stick to Valorant and I rlly don’t like it :( it’s too stiff and boring
1. Get a standard crosshair 2. Try out the average pro sense of .35 at 800dpi and play around in the range of 50-200% of that sense 3. play dm to learn crosshair placement 4. practice standing still when shooting, move with a and d - use the "practice" mode in the range to learn strafing accuracy - go back and forth and try to hit heads right when youre switching directions 5. deny the enemy information with shift-walking 6. learn about when to buy, when to eco, when to bonus and when to force (but more importantly, if youre lazy, just buy in sync with the majority of your team) 7. learn how to use the voicechats - learn common callouts on the maps - typical callout for enemy position: "[name] [location], hit [damage]" eg. "cypher u-hall, hit 40" (keeps it short and unobtrusive) - communicate macro strategies in the 30 secs before round - communicate/coordinate utility to setup micro strats (eg. "raze, i will flash out and you can satchel site" as skye or kay/o) - keep team morale up, have some common decency when talking to mates, they are human beings too - bonus tip: don't copy the habit of complaining about teammates from the pros you watch. you likely dont know what youre talking about if youre below immortal! 8. stick to one or two agents in the beginning - google "[agent name] tech" to find some common ways to use their util - dont try to "master" an agent too early, but also dont switch agents every week - focus on really dialing in the above steps, just pick an agent, learn the basics and forget about it until you feel like you have nothing else to improve When you made it till here (and that is when you implemented every step that came before) you can start improving the details (you should be platinum if youve mastered all the above) 9. learn an agent you like (or a role) in-depth by watching VODs and tutorials on it - take notes of how pros play this agent and compare it to your own games - learn tech like line-ups and utility order 10. improve your overall decisionmaking by limit testing - limit testing is basically like interval nesting in maths - start from one extreme (like always pushing as hard as you can when playing duelist) and take notice of the situations in which it works and in which not - oversteer to the other extreme and take notice of what you can and can do again - find a golden middle over time 11. VOD review your own games, take notes, compare them to pro VODS, take notes on the differences and focus on detailed points in every game congrats, youre radiant
Normal valorant newbie journey Step: 1 start playing it, Step 2: watch yt to video how to play better Step 3: get better Step 4: get fucked by smurf on reaching bronze Step 5: reaslise this game is depressing Step 6: uninstall the game get busy in your life Step 7: do all the step from the beginning
This helped so much. I’m trying to get into valorant and can’t wait! I thought it would be a total roller coaster but you made it sound lots easier to understand. Thanks😊
I used to hate Valo when my friend asked me to play. Now I love it but I SUCK at it. Granted I’m new (to Valorant and PC gaming in general) so I’m going to educate myself on the game as much as possible since it’s a relatively unique FPS. Thanks for this video!
i just started playing today after not having played a shooter for like 3 years, and i gotta say, i ate allot of dirt my first match with sage was something like 3/17 xD but the second match i played brimstone and ohh boy do i like him, comming from a rainbow six siege and very old counterstrike player, i just love his smokes and the molotov granade launcher. ended the game this time with a win with 19/16/7 felt pretty good. thanks for the video, ima go and change my crosshair tomorrow, since the basic one is really trash.
It's like they actually implemented all the things CS is missing. Better stats, fight details, scoreboard, easier smokes, call outs to maps, easy and meaningful buy menu.
I felt the same way at first, but now I enjoy Valo. However, I find it harder than the average FPS game due to having to know how to properly use abilities, terrible spray, etc.
played this game in release... got a bunch of shorts for it and seeing as it has changed a lot and meta has shifted i would like to see how its doin now
2 flashes for Breach? And just leave the other 300 creds lying around? Also why not get a ghost on Astra or Gekko? Also I never go full util on Harbor. Plus, the loadouts may differ between halves.
Thanks for video! Just started Valorant and the game is dope. Basically two games where I played competitive mashed together. CS and Dota. I can argue with sensitivity tho, thats pretty much a preference and what mouse you have. If someone said I need to increase my sens because "pros" have it I would become total noob.
another thing about remaking, you can remake whenever you want in the second round if someone leaves. So if you dont know if someone is coming back or not, you can wait until you are about to lose the round to remake. Just make sure its during the second round.

solid point, i forgot while making the guide there are people who aren't aware that saving can actually be the wrong play 🫡

so either your previous crosshair was terrible, or you are under placebo affect.
