I really enjoy these videos. It's great to see how a good player of the deck in question thinks and makes plays. It's criminal that you don't get more views you are virtually the only person doing this kind of yugioh content.
I appreciate the kind words, the series has issues that prevent it from being that popular from both a premise and aesthetics perspective. 1. The series comes out inconsistently because it literally only happens when I can get guests. I don't play lots of decks or switch decks often so I need guests to even make videos. Original idea of the series was a way to always make videos without playing every new deck. Guests have little incentive to participate, so I have to use who I can get, sometimes this happens and I get super high value player, usually requires them to be a content creator for them to have some incentive of me sending my audience to see them, and I still get some of their audience to see me. Otherwise I have to reach into the archetype discords and facebook groups but they have also little incentive to participate and quality can vary, some are good, some are great, some are passible, I think once ever I couldn't post it. I would consider just paying a pro player coach their metafy hourly rate to come on then I can cover any deck I want at just about any time it would make sense to make, It could also promote their metafy but the channel doesn't really make enough money to want to spend money to do that. I'd need to promote the patreon more to get revenue to justify spending the revenue. One day I might just try it, but if I do and word gets around I'd pay for guest appearances It would incentivize people to refuse to do it for free/cross promotion and just wait for a payment offer and not do it for free/cross promotion so I'm a little worried about starting that as a trend. It'd be like $40 bucks a video, when monthly the channel only makes like $50. Maybe I can write that off, but idk tax stuff. 2. How many decks does 1 person really need to play, it's not the kind of thing someone needs in bulk. The audience per episode is wildly different. Additionally as it's non-scripted and matches can be so random, I also have to be reasonable to my guests and can't just keep playing to get the best possible video. 3. Its also just not the most visually impressive series, despite I've been learning to use apple motion to make motion graphics, but I'm just not that skilled an editor, definitely can't afford an editor (one who knows yugioh as well) if I can't afford coaches, My computer also can't handle recording the face cams and ygopro simultaneously so It can only look so nice, on the Crystal beast video Neshy record the face cams. It seems like popular yugitube are now all series from the names creators that barely relate to competitive yugioh and it seems that what the people want, that are highly edited. I really appreciate DB grinder is still out there doing competitive yugioh. 4. I'm just now trying to rebrand the series because I think the How 2 Play name implied something else as opposed to what was being done so people would start watching and leave which was bad for average view duration, and retention, and just the fact that the videos are long people will just leave after starting and realizing it would be awhile, but now the new title play by play might not get as many clicks, hopefully those who do will stick around longer, not sure what to do. Paid to get a logo made for it as it's a 1 time payment, all for 1 time payments, and the artist is taking their sweet time. idk I felt the need to be rambly about this. If you have any ideas, let me know.
@@LegacyCrusaders the only suggestion I have is moving the games to masterduel. I know that just isn't feasible due to time and gems getting the required cards. The only channel getting views from edo is probably Lithium and DB Grinder covers dueling book. As for getting guests I imagine it's pretty difficult so I can't offer much help I just hope you can continue the series as its great entertainment and great for learning also.
I don't think master duel solves any of my issues, it just creates a new one of needing to spend money for gems to acquire decks I'd only play for 1 or 2 videos. It might get me a new audience but would also probably wouldn't be great for my regular audience as I'm sure most are TCG players, and MD is sort of old TCG. I actually don't care that much for the MD aesthetics, when people say they're so much better than edopro I don't see it from the perspective of clearly telling whats happening. Ultimate goal should be to understand whats happening and I don't think that issue is fixed by master duel. It does look better than edopro, maybe I'll force myself to get better with the YGO Omega UI and try to switch to that.

during your first combo you could've instead of choosing striker you could have put back the black baby dargon, since the white one hasn't added its counterpart yet so it also triggers as soon as it goes to the GY hence adding the black again giving you a better follow-up on the next turn. this little nugget of resources also works with chaos space, just make sure you banish CS and shuffle the first backi n your deck before the second hits the GY

Chaos angel can use a light or dark monster as a tuner, doesn't have to be a tuner. It's part of its card text.
