    I have been watching all sort of watch videos for several years. However, nobody goes into investment detail like Roman Sharf. I think we are all fed up with Watch UA-camrs mentioning the same old Batman, Hulk, and the ceramic Daytona for a long time. It is refreshing to see a very knowledgable guy like Roman sharing his knowledge here for us. Now, this has become my go-to watch channel. Well done Roman.

    The King Bobby is a super cool guy. To my Brit ears he sounds and even looks like Dennis Hopper. Great characters in the watch game. And those pieces he wears, man that’s top of the money tree!

    Super interesting! I know trade shows are infrequent but this is excellent, unique content. The down-and-dirty dealing you feature is something the UA-cam watch space is missing. Love it

    would love to see more trade shows, its amazing for us watch enthusiast to see that many watchs sit in one room! although some of the watchs the price tag sounds no dffierent than what they ask for client lol

    My friend who grew up during the USSR days always kinda laughs when a russian restaurant opens up and tries to be trendy. They were austere times and the luxury things were western. But it's also interesting that some common item that she'd consider bar food or comfort food is considered exciting to us.

    Roman, thanks for taking us on this ride from the Soviet era Russian restaurant (food & vodka looked amazing) to how things work at the show, If you could hang out with a dealer there are some great buys to be had at all prices ranges. Then there is Bob, such an awesome character & the watches he let you take pics of were stunning.. There is a reason you've got the best watch related youtube channel & tell me how many guys are comfortable enough in their own skin to actually show the consumer what you pay for certain pieces...Long reply but just wanted again to thank you for letting us in on this crazy ride!

    Awesome New York City Watches Trade Show. Buying and selling watches is a good way to make a living. The vintage gold Rolex Chronograph and the vintage Patek Philippe Perpetual Calendar is a good way to close the video. The Brooklyn Marriott room is beautiful and has a cool big screen TV.

    This reminds me of all the jewelry marks and wholesale shops in downtown Los Angeles when I live there. Everybody competing and fighting over everybody else's business and half of that s*** is fake as hell. It seems like there's a whole bunch of dealers trying to sell the other dealers or a bunch of people just walking around window shopping. I could be wrong but that's how it looks

    I keep thinking “what a sweet gig to have” but the pressure of getting great deals and making sure your going to be able to get a good return or not have to sit on this merch for awhile has got to be a heavy burden! But that was a great video. Thanks for the insight!

      Sometimes it can be Ray to be honest especially when I get into the 100k plus watch range, but at the end it all averages out and as long as you learn from your mistakes its a ll good!

    Hi Roman! This was one of the most interesting videos that you've done (at least for me). Hearing how you evaluate deal ROI and negotiate was fascinating. Can you please talk about how you divide responsibilities across your team? Do you have different sales people by division (watch, jewelry), brands, region, or some other role/responsibility breakdown?

    That doesn't look to be a 2499, rather a 1518. Maybe I'm wrong but the main difference between the two is the subdial for the date indication with the moonphase. again I've never seen a 2499 with the 1518 date subdial. Ohter than that great video, fantastic 1526, in my opinion best perpetual calendar display ever, alongside with the 2497, 3448 and 3449 and 3450💪

    • @arslanian
      @arslanian 4 роки тому

      @Cameron Ahola ya if I'm looking to save money on a big purchase, tax is the first thing looking to avoid. that's why I'm looking to buy a watch from the Caribbean islands!

    • @arslanian
      @arslanian 4 роки тому

      @Cameron Ahola it's pretty simple. Time pieces that are high in demand and produced in low numbers go up in value and vice versa. Sadly authorized dealers will (most likely) not sell you a rare item if you're not a regular customer. It's a nasty industry where the rich are hoarding dozens of pieces while a watch enthusiaste can't buy one at retail value.

    • @arslanian
      @arslanian 4 роки тому

      @Cameron Ahola ha! Well I live north of your border and here in Ontario it's 13%. So having no sales tax makes a big difference.
