Love these trade show videos. I love all your content to be fair, but these trade shows really put viewers in the heart of the industry. Agree with the other comments that more of the legendary Arthur can only enhance your channel. Have you thought about doing videos with people that work for you detailing their area of the industry. I would love to work for you should you ever expand into the UK lol.
@@RomanSharf thank you for your content. I adore watches and have learnt so much from you. If you are ever at a loose end in the UK give me a shout and I'll buy you a pint.
When it’s time, I am buying a watch (probably a Sea-Dweller. Ideally a 16600) from you guys. Your content has sold me on both the swerve and people behind every purchase.
Buy an early tritium dial with lug holes, thin crown and a good patina and matching hands with punched papers - they are the next best thing to a triple six 16660 with a matte dial which are $20k plus - the early tritium 16600 are hugely undervalued. Don't pay the extra for a triple six 16660 with a gloss dial though it's a waste of money over the identical 16600 / same logic on the 16800 gloss dial over a 16610 not worth the extra money. Good luck with the purchase.
Paulthorpe so an early model 16600 is what you are recommending over a 16660? What are your thoughts on the Sea Dweller 4K? Are they worth the extra money?
I haven't bought one I think they are overhyped like discontinued 116710 green hand GMT if there is a financial crash the neo-vintage stuff like that will be hit hardest along with 16610 LV anniversary which is £5k overpriced imho - my advice is based on budget by most vintage possible eg 1665 DRSD, 1665 GREAT WHITE, 16660 but MATTE DIAL ONLY, 16600 T25 LUG HOLE. is safest place to put money especially as watch size trends are downward which will render the Deep-sea etc a bit naff in 5 years from now. 16660 mind is a great watch and only made for a few years in matte dial (up to 8.5million serial btw so be careful as there are younger ones that have had retro fit dials for bigger profits) just don't pay top money for a later circa post 1985 16660 with a gloss dial that's all. The other underpriced matte dial is a 16800 Sub pre 8.5million serial again for watch only from $12000. But the early 16600 t dial is the pick of the market at moment - PS If you like Chronos invest in a 79260/70/80 Tudor small block Daytona panda or reverse panda Batton dial from $4000 upwards - insanely cheap, been going up 15% a year and vibes of the old Rolex 6263 37mm Daytona about the dial too....they will be $10000 plus in ten yrs. Best rgds
I understand what Josh is saying that," A lot of money is lost in this room" but obviously more money was made in the end. It's a lot like trying to be a bookie with only one customer he bets on the Eagles and by default you have the Giants. You're not booking your gambling. The dealers in that room are not losing money in the end as illustrated by their million dollar homes, expensive cars and bank accounts flush with money. You need volume (Balls) and a means to sell merchandise to make money selling anything, including watches. I know Josh is being honest but it's misleading to say money is lost in that room without putting it in context.
