You know - just have to tell you.... I feel better, after watching one of your videos! You have such a way of just giving that spark of joy and delight that I am always seeking! I find so much inspiration in your conversation! I could listen to you talk all day! ❤
Wonderful! I was surprised to hear about joylessness only because you are so upbeat and exuberant in your videos - I love every one. Even my honey remarked you cannot possibly have a bad day after watching a Helen video! Glad you are back to starting again , hope you get to feeling better ❤
Ah that's just so lovely of you..I am definitely naturally a very upbeat person but I've had a few difficult years with my health, I had a nasty long covid which made me fairly much house bound for about a year or more and then we had a house flood which destroyed half our home.... but all these things are mostly behind me now, so just a few bumps along the way...xxx
@@HelenWellsArtist Ah, ok, I've followed all your videos and I understand what you mean now. Still you on camera showing and sharing your immense creativity and constant loveliness, makes US joyful and feel better 😊 ❤️
I just love your energy, Helen, and your style and videos. So sorry to hear about the long covid, and glad you're getting back to things. I just went through a year of rebuilding my house due to flooding, the upside is a new, clean studio! Hope your house is rebuilt by now! Thank you for your videos, your work truly looks joyful! @@HelenWellsArtist
Helen! Great to see you post again ❤ I love love love your candleabra sketches! So much life and movement in them ❤ your dancing candleabras 😁 I have missed your videos and your cheerfulness!
Always excited when I see a video of your creations Helen. I’m truly inspired by your beautiful talent. Lovely to see you back, looking fabulous. Thank you.
You are my joy and delight Helen! I'm sorry to hear you have been poorly and hope you are better now? I love the blue on black tree painting. Great idea to play about with India ink to get your creativity back on track. X
Welcome back Helen, hope you are fully recovered now.Love the new video,as usual, full of life and energy and always inspirational.I am on my 45th page of my sketchbook and a big thankyou for promoting a daily art process in sketchbooks,it is freeing my work up and fills me with enthusiasm.Stay well,we missed you.x
Welcome back! I do hope you stay well…and the day you started that sketchbook was our 54th wedding anniversary! I have to say your art is just beautiful and certainly captures the joy you are looking for. Thank you…and that fly? It is my favourite!
What a great look into how you get started on a new idea. I loved seeing the order of how you sketched out the candelabra and the creativity kept things morphing. You are so inspiring and generous to make these wonderful videos. Love your classes too and will revisit those again this week! You are AMAZING!
Thank you for discussing how to get back into the flow after a break. It is encouraging to see your process. I enjoy finding new ways to spin old ideas. Sketchbooks are a great archive of things we enjoy and can develop. Finding joy in our work is a wonderful freedom, thanks for the ongoing reminder. ❤ Rachelle, Australia
Wonderful to see you back, and sorry to hear you have been unwell. I'm glad you focused on getting better again, rather than struggling on. Anyway, I loved this video and in particular I adored the painting you showed at around the 6 minute mark. The blue one with the black background - its stunning! For some reason, a black background hasn't ever occurred to me so I'm going to try this with a few of my own paintings! :) x
Joy and delight…such a lovely intention! I must say that every time you share a sketchbook, I am delighted!! And inspired as well! Thank you, Thank you!!
Love your tree paintings, beautiful. ❤ and I also paint to enjoy the art supplies and play with colour. I feel in a slump right now need to find new inspirations. One idea is I love sunflowers and also want to try acrylic paint . I am also inspired by Gustav Klimt and his swirly trees.Thank you for sharing . 🙋🏼♀️🌻🇨🇦
The paintings are fabulous Helen! Beautiful colours. Painting using your favourite colours is very therapeutic isnt it? I understand where you're coming from. I'm trying hard to find joy after some difficult years and watching you brings me JOY so thank you for that !❤
I look forward to your videos as they are joyful, colourful and full of patterns. I could imagine those two finished pieces as artwork on a silk shirt, wonderful work. Thanks for sharing. 💚
Thanks once again for sharing your process. It is always so inspirational. I must say I was stopped in my tracks when I saw the finished pieces you showed about 5 minutes into the video. They are both stunning and seem to reflect a new level of expertise/polish/enchantment that you've achieved in your journey. Keep up the great work, your finished pieces are really beginning to reflect a fabulous culmination of all the time you've spent developing your craft. Bravo!!!
I love your style so much! Absolutely loved the finished paintings you showed near the beginning. Your approach is so inspiring and accessible - even for those who don't think they can draw/paint. Sorry to hear you've had a tough couple of years. I'm in a similar position - just coming out of it. Making art is what gets me through. Hoping you have a delightful and joyful time going forward. 😊
so helpful (as usual w/yr shares)... been slow to arting & decided to go with the flow this week...similar to (but different from) heart hunger vs stomach hunger.... often ii use heart hunger to eat something... as if confronting what ii really feel is too daunting... doesn't help my figure any better than my sketchbook... when in the zone, hunger doesn't exist, other than a drive to create... play is the key, isn't it... ty.
Ah yes I had a horrible lurghy..so didn’t do anything for weeks. I think we all go through fallow creative seasons…whatever the reason, we can’t be “on” all the time at all…I like to think about creativity as akin gardening…there are fallow times, times of planting seeds and times of harvest…xx
You know - just have to tell you.... I feel better, after watching one of your videos! You have such a way of just giving that spark of joy and delight that I am always seeking! I find so much inspiration in your conversation! I could listen to you talk all day! ❤

Wonderful! I haven’t heard the term heart hunger before…but yes it’s a good comparison. Happy creating x
Did you say you haven't done anything for weeks. That's so comforting. Your output doesn't show it.
