OK chainsaw guy really touched me. I’ve hiked with chainsaw. I still work for the Forest Service and I’m in the field regularly and I definitely have dealt with mental health challenges my entire life. It’s a great analogy.

Hats off to all the wild land fire fighters- and firefighters 🫡
You all don’t get the credit you deserve… even more so the wild land firefighters.
when i did a thru hike in northern michigan with a super heavy load.. i struggled!
i realized that we are all carrying something heavy on our shoulders… its hard.. it hurts 🥺
    sometimes we gotta lighten up..
    🙏🏻
I had to ask for help multiple times on my hike.. ran out of food ( crow 🐦‍⬛ broke into my pack ate my food )
lost my water filter.. ran out of water..
but i made it… by the love and kindness of a few beautiful souls

Been binge watching all your thru hiking videos. Hardest I’ve laughed in awhile about being drunk off the shot. Love it 🤘

Wow, what a great metaphor from Dylan. We all carry something heavy and for him to voluntarily do it in such a visible way to raise awareness is super powerful.

I have been binging (and rewatching parts) of your CYTC trip, Quadzilla. This one really got me. Chainsaw Man and your soliloquy on the ephemeral nature of our days and the changing conditions and your marmot shots...just magnificent and moving.

This series has been super inspiring for me, I’m getting back into hiking again thanks to you and the other hikers. Thank you (p.s. I preordered the coffee table book)

I always look forward to when the John Muir Wildernes comes up, for me it's one of the most gorgeous, spectacular and primal region of the whole PCT and you captivated it so perfectly, (yes, feeling alive) thank you for that!! Respect to the Chainsaw Man, what a beautiful soul he has and tons of inner strength! Loved the milky way pic at the end, that was the inner core just atop the mountains... ooohh wow!

Fireball Whiskey, I’m sure John Muir would’ve had a shot along with you. 12k feet above sea level sure raises whiskeys proof a little. You’re correct about the photos and videos not capturing the true beauty, scope and size of the places you find yourself in, but being a hiker, and being in places similar to your route, I can appreciate exactly what you are accomplishing and how it looks. Stay safe my friend.

Yikes! They only pay 15 an hour! Nowadays that is pretty much minimum wage. Yes, need to pay more. Loved the video!

Wonderful video and, when you‘ve completed the triple crown, you should definitely do a »wow« compilation. It‘s inspiring to get a glimpse of the awe-inspiring nature and your commentary on it. Very much looking forward to doing the Southern California Section next year … and the rest in the years to follow!
Until then: looking forward to your video updates!

I have watched videos by several other hikers but yours really stand out. You are capturing so much of the beauty and your commentary gives us a sense of the feelings that arise along the trail. I’m really looking forward to the book, but how will you ever decide which pictures make the cut?!
