Hello everyone, as a F2P this is my ultimate gem spending guide. Card king = only flip 2 cards unless there is 1 gold head in the cards, that's when you should flip it. The value of heads amounts to 450-750 gem per piece (including the 3 gold head from the card king itself, Richard for example) depending on the amount of flips that you will do. In case you are wondering how much is the value if there is no gold head on the reward list, it is 1000 gem per head. (this is the same amount of gem prize for this Halloween event which is good but not the ultimate spending guide) Wheels = I've done a lot of testing and my results showed 10 spins is the most valuable, second is 45, the third is 100. The further you go the amount of gem per head increases, the 10,45, or 100 should be your checkpoints. Do not stop on the 25, or 70 checkpoint because the checkpoint requires you to do like 2.5x amount of spins to get to those checkpoints, while the head chest rewards for 10,45, or 100 gives you a better value for the amount of spins needed every checkpoint. Gem gathering = Basic way is to send a march, wait for it to go home then send again. Ultimate way is to have a certain amount of troop load, and the moment they starts to walk back to your home you have to send them again to the next one, basically no rest. City skin = Do not invest on this 10,000 worth gem city skin unless you really need the city skin for it's stats, not the looks. This Halloween city skin gives attack stat which is really bad for infantry, health is the way to go. You should invest on 7,000 gem city skin that gives 35 gold heads.

@@noobatredstone3001 As for my defense on the 10 spins. It will only cost you Free+400+400+400+800+3600 = 5600 gems to 10 spin. So imagine having 5600(10 spin) every time the wheel will show up, it will be 5600 x 10 = 56000 for 100 spins while you all know that doing 100 spin costs like 70,000. Okay let me get the exact cost, it is 70,400.

ROK is always about lasting longer in the open field or even in rallies. Being a glass cannon is not recommended that's why you'll see Khan as an example not being in the top list of commanders you should invest in first. Personal experience as f2p that I regret: I got Dragon boat, Timbered Ensemble which both gives archer defense while decreases cavalry health/defense. I got the Moment of Celebration, one of the latest archer city skins and it gives archer health and reduces infantry attack. Now the question is, can I use all of them? A big no, and the only one that I'm gonna use is the one that provides health. My main point is, F2P don't have the luxury to collect city skins for the looks. You should always focus on the stats and literally in every event, should always aim for value, value, and value.
I know a lot of f2p players. I think it will help them a lot if I share this video on our Discord. As always, a very good video and explained in a very factual and understandable way.
I'm a F2P from 1597 with 42M power now. Books of the covenant seems a bit of a waste to me. If you see the time which is needed to research some of the last tiers in the acedamy it takes about 2 months. A F2P player will never have enough speed ups to rush these. Even with the 7% extra research speed the amount of time will still be around 2 months. Within these two months you can rally forts. Which I do as well (about 20-30 forts a day which gives around 40 books of convenant per day). Quick math shows it will be less time to rally forts than pushing gems into the castle for researches. I push all my gems into VIP level since they are not needed anywhere else. Also an extra tip on the master blueprint, never buy these during more than gems event. This is a waste of gems in that spot. If the event "Build up" comes around you can build a building for 100K points which will give you 1300 gems. If you do that you only miss out on 700 gems which is not as bad as 2k during more than gem event. This means you can spend those left over gems on vip again. I am 300 days into the game and have reached 13,5 Vip level many spenders are not as high as I am while I am F2P.
@@xxresistantxx50 It is possible ofcourse but at my level I only have huge upgrades to go (academy, watchtower, hospitals) takes a lot of time to gain speed ups for those to make it a quick upgrade (speeding wise). So I am stuck with those for a long time till that event pops up and I am able to use it. You would gain another 1300 gems indeed if you buy it on MTG event but I rather buy 50k Vip points each MTG event to race towards VIP 14. Which is from lvl 13-14 250K vip points. Rather achieve it in 5 MTG events than in 6 or 7 due to buying blueprints from the shop. Those 700 I lose during build up event is not as much compared to the vip points I miss imo.
Power gain will stall from 35-40 mil power, having a lvl25 castle will allow you to upgrade more and get the T5. F2P will not really use T5 in open field, but if you're playing long term you'll want them eventually, so sooner the better! 😄

Really really appreciate this noodley math about gems and especially VIP. I'm struggliing a lot with math around barb forts and figuring out how many t4s we need for a level 5, also the distribution of covenant books and Lohar heads by percentage of damage done. Thankfully I am in alliance that gets it now, but previously the heavy hitters would only join low level rallies and I wouldn't ever get heads. I was infuriated by this with the witch hats near Halloween.
On the point regarding spending gems for 500 ap. This will be of extra value during kvk. New higher level barbs are coming which can drop about 100 gems. Point at 17:22
About forts vs gemming books: For 140 AP (cost of one fort rally), you can easily chain 20+ barbarians and get far more value in terms of both gems and speedups. 1 Fort = 3-5 books max. 20-30 barbs (Level 21+) chained = 90 gems on average. This is the case for low level barbarians in home kingdom, and even more true for Lost Kingdom barbs. That alone is more value, but on top of that, you get EXTRA value from spending those gems on books during MTG. Fort drop rates are inefficient use of AP for upgrading your castle in a reasonable amount of time.
@Matheus Miguel 140 AP gives more than 50 gems when barb chaining which is the max value you can get from a fort in books. If you did such a test, you weren't barb chaining. You were likely hitting barbs with 5 marches, spending 30 AP per barb which is terribly inefficient.
@Matheus Miguel Before I had YSG expertised, I actually used Aethel + Richard because Aethel has a 180 degree AOE. With YSG expertised, I use Richard + YSG for long barbarian runs and Lohar + YSG if I want to kill quicker.
That is why I keep my gems in the gem packs in the inventory so I don’t have a large amount that I could accidentally lose. I only open the packs when I know I’m about to use them.
Nice guide but need to change the order to priotization. Always go for vip first vip 10 then 12 then 14 if you want efficiency. Go for wheel if you want fun.

just from out first lohar in the kingdom i knew the arrows would be pricey so i made sure to kill enough to get me to like 2 or 3 k arrows so itll hold me till the next one (mainly f2p so i wont have to worry about it anytime soon)
Yeah I once bought the 5% attack boost from the merchant shop accidentally which cost me 2k gems. I know its not a lot, but I'm wasting my gems on useless stuff😪
To summarize never spend on lucky wheel or card king just get commanders first time then go VIP 10 and aim for VIP 12 and only spend gems on VIP every more than gems event after VIP 12 castle books, done.
Hey! Question.. I’m in my first experience to kvk 1 and like I’ve teleported to lost kingdom and been here for about 3-4 days I think enough to where we captured ruined CF.. YSG wheel is active aswell. And I’m wondering if I should drop every single gem into that wheel? I am not F2P I made pretty wild purchases 😂 Currently I have all the following Vip 12 Ch25 17M power Mina CC baibars beli sun tzu and kusonoki and Joan of arc all expertise 750K total troops trained 453k special unit Cavs included And 12k gems I should have watched your videos prior to playing rise of kingdoms because I wasted so much of everything. I’ve already made changes on how I’m saving up items. But yeah should I dump every single gem in that wheel? I still plan to purchase in game whenever I see /need something

Hey Chis pin this. Each festival event has an alternating flow. Current alliance based rewards and other 7k gems spend event type. Next event will be 7k gems one. 7k gems spent gives you back 7k gems in return and along with 35 gold heads. To do these types of event make a team of 3 -4 byddies and tp to zone 1 in least resources rich area. Gather level 1 resources nodes (will take about 14 to 20 mins) in mean while your resources production will be enough to give you event currency. Rally low level forts and kill barbs 3 times a day. Totally free. For vip , spend gems for vip on more than gems event. It's a 2 day event and needs 25k gems each day. Get gold heads in return. So gather about 57k gems as back up. Have a nice day. Migrate to k75 if you like good kind mates. We zero toxic players. So you will be safe.
I actually word disagree that VIP 6 is important. It takes 11,500 points to get to VIP 6, and you get roughly 200 VIP a day. That's 58 days. So you can either spend 11,500 to get to the second building queue, or use 29 two-day building contracts (150 gems each) for a total of 4,350 gems. I'd rather have the building queue and keep the gems.
So I am new too the game 4 days in , vip pass at lvl 3 should I use my 5k gems too upgrade my pass or keep it for these events your talking about like wheel of fortune and others or I should just spend the 150 gems a day for second builder
Hey chrisgule , i am a very limited spender and i am at a point where i have maxed my academy , i sit on VIP 10 nearly 11 and finally got YSG expertised. Now i saved around 55k gems and its alexander wheel. Now is my question if i should invest all my gems into the next alex wheel or if i should spend them on something else ...

Definitely go and invest in YSG as he offers the best value for open field and also in general (events and pve) ramesses and artimisia are more of niche-role commaders. If you are further interested take some time to watch guides here on UA-cam
I don’t really know what is good on this game and I was wondering what I should use out of boudica sun tzu belisarius osman baibars and Matilda of flowers, I’m f2p so I’m not using legendary yet
I have timed it and i gathered 3200 gems in the space of 12 hours, but it requires you to get back to home kingdom while every one is on the lost kingdom map so that you wont have any competition or shortage of gem nodes to jump to.
This is a reasonable amount of gems for 12 hours. It's more efficient to have four marches gem gathering and one barb chaining. Barb chaining with free AP (especially with YSG) produces more gems per minute than gem gathering. There was someone who tried convincing me that it was possible to collect 4500-5000 in ten hours, even though it was mathematically impossible.

95k gems away from vip14, i have enough gems for it. However, my castle is still 21 and i have enough speeds for t5...Which should i prioritize? im f2p
wow, I have the same 95k points to vip 14. I suggest to spend on vip 14, those legendary sculptures is really good. After that, spend on your Castle while saving speed ups for T5
I was thinking it was just better to farm gems just during kvk because of lv 3 min nodes and then when you aren’t in kvk just farm normally and u can take 1 day off every week to farm gems when you have time

Buy the master's blueprint during more than gems, use the master's blueprint during the building event.

What if I'm vip 13, and have castle 25 now. Where should I spend next? Vip 14 or wheels? Its 250k vip points away
Hey! Question.. I’m in my first experience to kvk 1 and like I’ve teleported to lost kingdom and been here for about 3-4 days I think enough to where we captured ruined CF.. YSG wheel is active aswell. And I’m wondering if I should drop every single gem into that wheel? I am not F2P I made pretty wild purchases 😂 Currently I have all the following

I should have watched your videos prior to playing rise of kingdoms because I wasted so much of everything. I’ve already made changes on how I’m saving up items. But yeah should I dump every single gem in that wheel? I still plan to purchase in game whenever I see /need something

@Ghiscule I started playing ROK in a kd that got the YSG wheel almost right away after I joined. I didn't get the unlock of course...
We are 100+ days later and haven't seen YSG in card kings. Is there another way to unlock him?

Each festival event has an alternating flow. Current alliance based rewards and other 7k gems spend event type.
Next event will be 7k gems one.
7k gems spent gives you back 7k gems in return and along with 35 gold heads.
To do these types of event make a team of 3 -4 byddies and tp to zone 1 in least resources rich area. Gather level 1 resources nodes (will take about 14 to 20 mins) in mean while your resources production will be enough to give you event currency.
Rally low level forts and kill barbs 3 times a day.
Totally free.
For vip , spend gems for vip on more than gems event. It's a 2 day event and needs 25k gems each day. Get gold heads in return.
So gather about 57k gems as back up.

I actually word disagree that VIP 6 is important. It takes 11,500 points to get to VIP 6, and you get roughly 200 VIP a day. That's 58 days. So you can either spend 11,500 to get to the second building queue, or use 29 two-day building contracts (150 gems each) for a total of 4,350 gems. I'd rather have the building queue and keep the gems.

Now i saved around 55k gems and its alexander wheel. Now is my question if i should invest all my gems into the next alex wheel or if i should spend them on something else ...

Definitely go and invest in YSG as he offers the best value for open field and also in general (events and pve) ramesses and artimisia are more of niche-role commaders. If you are further interested take some time to watch guides here on UA-cam

One way you forgot to mention is that you can also gain gems from completing the MGE tasks.

I have timed it and i gathered 3200 gems in the space of 12 hours, but it requires you to get back to home kingdom while every one is on the lost kingdom map so that you wont have any competition or shortage of gem nodes to jump to.
This is a reasonable amount of gems for 12 hours. It's more efficient to have four marches gem gathering and one barb chaining. Barb chaining with free AP (especially with YSG) produces more gems per minute than gem gathering.
There was someone who tried convincing me that it was possible to collect 4500-5000 in ten hours, even though it was mathematically impossible.

I spent lots of gems on buying vip I don't know if that's worth it, now I have a lot of legendary commanders our kingdoms age is very young but I don't even have their first skill maxed out,. .... broken hearted, and I certainly put in lots of money say buying Minamoto but it seems like those winning the mitightest commanders are putting more money than I did but still, don't know if I should spend on wheels of fortune or vip

wow, I have the same 95k points to vip 14. I suggest to spend on vip 14, those legendary sculptures is really good. After that, spend on your Castle while saving speed ups for T5

I think you shouldve mentioned joining a top alliance boosts f2ps by a lot not just by forts but also with speedups,gems and books of the covenant

I was thinking it was just better to farm gems just during kvk because of lv 3 min nodes and then when you aren’t in kvk just farm normally and u can take 1 day off every week to farm gems when you have time
