Fun Fact about Dr. Dave for those of you who don’t know: This is the exact same guy who voiced Felix The Cat In “Felix The Cat: The Movie” (1988).😊 Now that you know that, use your imagination of Felix actually singing this song about Princess Oriana instead of Vanna White. XD (It works. XD )
From 1987? I thought this was much earlier than that. I remember this would come on some radio station all the time when I was a kid. I would always think "not this song again" and wonder why someone would write a song about The Wheel of Fortune. It was some time later that I found out that it was a parody song. This song totally screwed up how I view the original from The Box Tops.
That is funny because I recorded it off the radio back in the day and the version I hear on the radio is totally different from this version like there was a radio version and then an LP version
On vinyl, that's awesome. This was a big deal on my local call in radio station. Everyone was requesting it.

This song has been on my mind for years, I finally got around to looking for it on UA-cam (slight procrastinating) Loved it then, still do.
Totally sounds like Cheech Marin.

This one has 'Wheel of Fortune' written all over it!

It was Cheech who sang it. I personally think he used the name Dave from the skit off the one album.
