Spoken from lived experience, this is extremely hard to get past. I’m studying psychology and I still struggle in intimate relationships in spotting or taking note of red flags. To someone with a lifetime of trauma they’re just flags, and more still feel fun like a carnival!

One thing to add - Zach wasn't testing the girls or being a jerk with his stripper and homeless quips - it's dark humor that's a side effect of his profession (criminal defense attorney). I'm in a similar profession, and a lot of us do the same thing - it's so high stress and all-consuming, that the last thing you want to do is talk about your work with someone who probably doesn't already understand it. Whenever we go to weddings or events, I tell people I'm a party planner. He's just putting a dark spin on it b/c he has a dark sense of humor (another defense mechanism).

Zach cried like a baby after turning down Bliss. Zach feels like Bliss is too good for him and it triggered his childhood trauma. That’s why he was so emotional when he ended it. He never expected to actually connect with someone and when it happened, he got scared and insecure about truly falling for someone cause he doesn’t feel worthy of love. It’s probably because of his mother and up bringing. I think Zach choose Irina to play the game and go to Mexico. After his emotional breakdown from ending it with Bliss he reverted back to his emotional distant personality and stopped taking it seriously. Irina’s motive was a free trip and jewelry.
I think this is why he actually chose Irina over Bliss. She mentioned her dad not thinking anyone was good enough and that triggered his childhood trauma and he made the decision out of fear. He may not even know he was doing that and I think it’s a cautionary tale for us all on the emotional basis for our decision making. It’s not unique ro Zach at all.

When Zack cried while breaking up with Bliss it was more of his soul knowing he was losing a good thing. Bliss was smart, beautiful, mature and had a good heart. He was saying that to see their reactions to it as his mom was a stripper and he’s been judged on the way he grew and was raised in the past. I'm in a similar profession, and a lot of us do the same thing - it's so high stress and all-consuming, that the last thing you want to do is talk about your work with someone who probably doesn't already understand it. Whenever we go to weddings or events, I tell people I'm a party planner. He's just putting a dark spin on it b/c he has a dark sense of humor (another defense mechanism).

I don’t think Zach’s intention saying he was a stripper was about judging ppl or been misogynistic with their responses. He was masking his history, pain, and vulnerability with humor. Obviously, the rejection he has faced because of that is an extremely tender spot for him. It’s a defense mechanism to see if ppl reject him first so he doesn’t waste his time. We will see later that it’s one of the reasons I think he actually rejects Bliss when she speaks about her father not thinking anyone is good enough for her. Zach cried like a baby after turning down Bliss. Zach feels like Bliss is too good for him and it triggered his childhood trauma. That’s why he was so emotional when he ended it. He never expected to actually connect with someone and when it happened, he got scared and insecure about truly falling for someone cause he doesn’t feel worthy of love. It’s probably because of his mother and up bringing.
I think Zach choose Irina to play the game and go to Mexico. After his emotional breakdown from ending it with Bliss he reverted back to his emotional distant personality and stopped taking it seriously.
Irina’s motive was a free trip and jewelry.
I think this is why he actually chose Irina over Bliss. She mentioned her dad not thinking anyone was good enough and that triggered his childhood trauma and he made the decision out of fear. When Zack cried while breaking up with Bliss it was more of his soul knowing he was losing a good thing. Bliss was smart, beautiful, mature and had a good heart. That insecure little girl he chose was the complete opposite of her. I think the part where Bliss mentioned her family disliking her exes made him change his mind but I could be wrong. It's really sad. I would have loved to see Bliss and him together on the show. I bet she would have been a real sweetheart to him.
I think your assessment of Zach in being misogynistic is misplaced. He wasn’t saying he’s a stripper to simply test or get reaction from women like you say these podcast bros talk about. He was saying that to see their reactions to it as his mom was a stripper and he’s been judged on the way he grew and was raised in the past. So him saying that is a test to see if the women have a negative reaction to it which to him would indicate that they likely wouldn’t approve of his mother, who he obviously regards highly.

Thank you for pointing out how weird Zach was during their first time meeting! His intense stare creeped me out. I think he was trying to take in every detail of her in that moment. Like what she looked like, her comfort level, energy, all that. It just looked creepy to watch. It didnt look like he was attracted to irina at all. But neither was she. Just no chemistry between the two of em.
I felt SO BAD for Zack... Irina went out of her way to tell Zack how she'd admire him no matter what he looked like then the first thing she did was attack his looks! I'm assuming you mean podcasts like Andrew Tate's. But it may surprise you to learn that people like Tate don't promote playing silly games and he preaches that men should be the providers. And women should expect that from the man they choose to be their life partner. And providing means putting a roof over your family's head & having money/resources.
